Chapter 11: "Clown World"

Michael Afton's P.O.V

"You sure that was the right turn?" I asked Helpy still checking the phone in his hand. "Yes! I'm sure! That was mistake I made by taking the wrong turn earlier! God damn GPS on Google is unreliable, but if you guys would've give me the time, it wouldn't be taking longer!" exclaimed Helpy back as he dug his hand into the bag of Goldfish in his right hand. "Just gives us enough time to go over more tactics here," said Mangle in the back of the car. "Can you at least stop for a minute?! Who the hell even has to go into detail about that topic?!" exclaimed Bon Bon in the back on the ground, seeming annoyed of Mangle's list of tactics. "Well, the tactics have saved us and more knowledge for Funtime Foxy, right?" responded Springbonnie. "Yeah, it can't hurt to know everything about the position I'll be filling in," agreed Foxy. "You just learn to deal with it. Had to go through the same scenario when me and Springbonnie were first assigned under her command and I felt my mind was going to explode by trying to recall every step with her tactics. You just get to hear the simplified version, with less of the details and of her attitude before she changed," noted Bonnie. "Be grateful. If it wasn't for Michael. Well... You'd probably be annoyed as Bonnie was back in our world," said Mangle looking at me from I could see through the mirror in the car. "It was both us that had a side we'd dreamed to leave behind," I responded with a smile.

"Turn left up ahead."

Once we reached the turn, we changed towards the direction Helpy noted and continued down it. "Once we get that Disrupter I'm having a turn with it whenever. Just so I can teach Baby the feeling of pain," said Bon Bon. Everyone in the car went silent from his words: His desire for revenge was still present. It wouldn't be long where his concerns for revenge would interfere and complicate our actions and plans; somebody needed to confront him about it.

"It isn't a tool to use to take out our anger on our enemies."

"So you're defending what she did? Just because she's a sibling?"

I kept my eyes locked on the road, not daring to respond to Bon Bon's comment.

I want to still hope she can be reformed and realize what my father is doing isn't right. But I don't know," I responded. "I'm not defending her existence and as a sibling, but this angry attitude you preserve to unleash when ready... You're going down the path I did." "I won't be the shitty version you were. But she needs to pay for what she's done. Only then Bonnet, Lolbit, Yenndo, and Ballora will rest peacefully," Bon Bon responded. "Or maybe its you that'll find the sanctification you desire," added in Mangle now. "Speaking of Ballora; none of you ever mentioned finding her remains," said Helpy looking up and turning to look at us now. "Turn right up ahead." "We didn't find any parts or her remains. We checked the whole house as well when we were there," responded Foxy. "Now that you mention it, I found it odd there was at least no indication of her remains or anything relating to her," I responded making the right turn Helpy mentioned. "Maybe she escaped," suggested Foxy showing a little enthusiasm in her voice for hopes she was still alive. "Then she's out there and most likely trying to find a way to reach us," said Bon Bon. "We have to find her." "It's only an assumption as it pains me to ease the hope. We don't have total conformation that she is functioning or to even have escaped, it's a possibility she is being held by William," said Mangle. "What need would they require from her?" asked Foxy turning to look at her. "Nothing. She has no reliable data or anything of importance William doesn't have already. Unless he has other plans for her, my mind is blank on any guess," said Helpy. "Why didn't that A.I tell Freddy? Huh! It wouldn't enough for Freddy to care that one of our friends is alive anyways," said Bon Bon. "We're here," said Helpy pointing to the right, as well all towards the direction. Coming into view was the pizzeria and it wasn't hard to miss like any pizzeria, especially with the giant sign that had Circus Baby on it. "If the A.I knew Freddy would've told us. If you keep up that attitude you won't be permitted to leave the car," warned Mangle as I pulled into the baron parking lot now. "Oh yeah? You're going to stop me if I try to, huh?" responded Bon Bon not caring about her threat. "We're going to stop you. Even without Freddy's problem he would be concerned for her. But we don't know what her fate is, do we?" said Foxy taking charge no as well. She was already adjusted to her position as a leader, or least trying to. I parked the car in a parking spot in front of the pizzeria, as I turned off the ignition now. "She's right. We got a mission to attend to. So will you comply and stick to orders?" I asked Bon Bon turning around and looking at him. "If you grab that sign on the building of her and let me kick it until you can't recognize its face, I'll be fine," he responded. "Will you agree to no cause trouble or not," demanded Mangle for a proper response. "Fine! But don't think I want to be walking around this place anyways!" he responded crawling up on over Foxy and grabbing the handle for the door on her side. Once opened he hopped out and walked over to the front entrance of the place, as we all proceed to exit the car as well. "Could've asked, you know?" noted Springbonnie.  "Hate to agree with him, but I wouldn't want to stay here any longer after what happened here all those years ago. Just another chain of tragedy's that just pile on top of each other," said Helpy as Bonnie and him got out. I proceeded to get out of the car while bringing the keys with me as well. I looked up at the giant sign of Circus Baby as I shut the door, just seeing how this animatronic had consumed my sister. Or had Elizabeth just changed? Just like I did, in a way. I could still recall the memory of her describing the events that plagued her death when I had been present at the underground location all those years ago, almost like it was yesterday. Still, it was gruesome to think about and whether she was planned to become just like us remained unanswered. It didn't matter to her, she was just reborn for all she cared. But just staring at that sign seemed I had been here before, almost like this wasn't my first time visiting this place and most likely forgotten because of my dad. So why would he erase my own sister from my memory, as if she didn't exist? Perhaps all he cared about in the end was altering my life to be a completely different one, just to make Purple Guy

"Hey Springy! Admiring the architecture?"

I turned to sight of the others that was drawn from Springbonnie's voice, as I started to walk towards them now. "Just have an odd feeling about this place," I responded. "You were staring at the sign for a decent amount of time. Thinking about what Baby has done to us?" said Bon Bon. Mangle turned to glare at him for his comment, which was obvious enough he turned to notice her gazing stare. "Relax, I didn't say shit about her," he pointed out annoyed. "Helpy, the key for this place," commanded Mangle. "Whatever the hell you find there. If anything that I wish to not know. You better ensure stays where it belongs," he responded while handing her three keys and walkie-talkie he brought along. "Can you count or what?" questioned Bon Bon noticing the keys. "One's for the entrance. Clearly. And the other two are for the managers office and generator room since those problems will most likely be locked," Helpy responded annoyed. "If you need a quick pick up I'll be waiting outside. Not like we have a way to communicate right now. Just get the hell outside in case anything happens." "You think we need to be told a second time?" responded Bon Bon annoyed once again. "Just trying to avoid any potential causes that are avoidable in the first place. I'll be in the car for standby," Helpy responded as he walked back to the car now. "Alright. Mission is a go," said Mangle. "So who's volunteering to take point this time?" "Lady's first," said Springbonnie shrugging as she held out her hand for the key. "Always going first," I noted as Mangle handed her the key. "Of course she takes the term too literally," agreed Bonnie, as Springbonnie unlocked the door. Once done she turned to look at Mangle, who gave a quick nod back as Springbonnie slowly opened the door to another lane of memories, as if we were opening and disturbing the tomb of the dead. Even the feeling of dead seemed to grasp on us for a second when the door was completely open, as the air swept through my body for just a moment. "Move in," commanded Mangle. Springbonnie slowly walked inside, as Mangle and Foxy followed behind, then finally me, Bonnie, and Bon Bon. "Close the door," commanded Mangle. "Why? It'll provide some light," questioned Bon Bon. "We all have night vision remember?" I said. "Ok?! At least make it easier on ourselves!" Bon Bon rejected while raising her voice. "Quiet! The enemy could've be here or anyone for that matter! We've already created our presence by entering so at least ensure nobody can triangulate our exact position!" hissed Mangle at him. "If someone enters the building from this entrance, then we'll be the first to know." "What the hell happened with the original version of her," said Bon Bon to himself, as I closed the door slowly. "Never thought I would hear that from you," I said in response. Mangle gave me a quick glance, just to note for me to silence my words for the moment. "Switch to night vision." All of us activated it, as we now had a better vision of the environment we were in; it was a good thing Henry installed night vision for those who did not have access to it. The area we were in was just the front center for people to pay, but looked mostly untouched and like it was bough yesterday.. Everything seemed intact, though the clear amount of dust on the desk only showed its age. Even from this angle we could see the main room and the stage from the side, as Mangle ran up to the side of the entrance way and peeked her head from where she was at while we waited for her next instructions. She still was looking into the room as she motioned for us to head over to her. Quietly and slowly we all crept to her spot while hugging the portion of the room to hide ourselves from the opening to the main room and the stage, eventually all waiting behind Mangle now. "You ready?" she asked quietly while turning to look at Foxy, as we all did the same. "Yeah," she responded nodding with the same tone as Mangle. "Lead the way," Mangle responded quietly. Foxy slowly left our tightly packed group as she walked ahead of us while observing the area around; she was beginning to put her position to use. As she entered the room she stopped for a brief second to motion her hand behind, just to give us notice to move. Mangle lead the others once more as she crept towards Foxy, while we continued to do the same for the moment. The room wasn't as empty as I imagined: There were tables in the middle of the room with chairs, and a opening sign banner that hung on the ceiling; even a pizza box with Baby's face on it resting on the table. This pizzeria was mostly abandoned. With the pizzerias the company shut down they at least mostly cleaned out most of the merchandise and products, here they didn't bother to take the items that the company spent on them; and Fazbear Entertainment was cheap when it came down to money. "Check all the rooms. And while we're at it, someone head to the breaker room and turn the power back on if possible," commanded Mangle quietly. We all turned to the rooms that were to our right, as we all slowly edged to what looked like party rooms. Springbonnie made her way to the one closest to the right, as I made my way next to hers. Bonnie had his attention to the room next to mine, as the rest went their separate ways. I stopped at the entrance of the room and check both side of the corners of the room facing my direction before finally stepping afoot inside, making my way towards the table on both sides of me. I knelt down and lifted the cover for the table to my left, finding nothing but the empty space beneath the table. I did the same for the table on the right and again found nothing, as I got up and made my way towards the remaining two tables up ahead. Once between the two I knelt down once more to check the left table, once again finding nothing underneath and then doing the same for the other table on the right. The room was clear. I turned to the sight of the room now and noticed the posters of Circus Baby all around; it felt like I couldn't escape my sister's sight all around. I looked up at the ceiling as well to make sure, as I noticed a camera at the top left corner of the room near the entrance that was facing near where I was standing. It appeared to be inactive, mainly since there was a red light to usually indicate it was on and I didn't see any light from it. The more I stayed here, the more the familiarity seemed to sooth in me. I made my way outside to find Bon Bon and Springbonnie waiting near the tables, as Bonnie came out of the room he entered a minute ago as well. "My room's clear," I said stopping in front of the both of them, as Bonnie approached us. "Yeah, no one's here. Not even her," said Bon Bon in response, while sounding like he was holding back more to say. "I don't know. Could be hiding in the kitchen cabinets or something? You never know," said Springbonnie. "You take Mangle's commands too literally," said Bonnie joining in our conversation. "This whole pizzeria is just a clown world. All I see throughout the pizzeria is god damn Baby and as if she is here right now. Almost like she's laughing at us right now for her own entertainment," shared Bon Bon annoyed turning away from us. "I'll see personally if she thinks pain against her is fun." "Muttering isn't going to prevent us from hearing your threats," I responded as he turned to look at me now. "I don't care anymore. Not making her a priority will only allow her to strike us again. Besides, you'll be the one mourning if she strikes down us or even Mangle personally," he responded. "If you're not going to let me kick any picture of her, at least finish our mission quickly so I leave this dreadful place." The doors near the stage opened, as Mangle and Foxy walked over to us now. "Keep you voices down, we can hear you from inside the bathroom," said Mangle softly while she and Foxy approached us. "From what I can tell there's a couple more rooms at the end through those two hallways. Probably the generator room, security room, and managers office," said Foxy looking towards the end of the main room. "Push up and be wary," said Mangle. Foxy walked up in front of us at a moderate pace as we followed behind to sweep this place fully: This definitely was different from how Freddy did things. Not that I disliked his form of leadership, but how Mangle approached situations was more tactical and advanced, almost like we were in the military. Still, Mangle never used these tactics when we were in the other world I was in, so I guess now was the appropriate time to use them. I couldn't complain as well due to its efficiency, which was helping us clear this place of any ambush or attack, even if it was a slow process. We all finally made or way towards the hallways, as Mangle motioned for us to split up. Me, Bonnie, and Springbonnie walked down towards the right hallway, as Mangle, Foxy, and Bon Bon took the left hallway. To the side of the hallway was an open door and being the only entrance to another room in this section, which meant the office and generator room were in the left hallway. Me and the others slowly walked over to the room and stood at the entrance to clear it, as I peeked my head in to see what this room was. All I could see was a shelf with some items, as I decided to step inside now. There was nothing but cleaning supplies, a broom, and tools, which assured me this was most likely a supply closet. There was nothing else in here off or out of place and this room didn't have where to hide, and even the ceiling was clear. I walked out slowly and towards the end of the hallway where the security room was, as Bonnie and Springbonnie proceeded to follow behind me. As we reached the end of the hallway I noticed Mangle's group were already in the office observing the area. "Security Room is clear," said Mangle turning to look at me as I entered the room. "Doesn't this section seem identical to the second Freddy's Fazbear Pizza?" Foxy asked looking at me from the doorway and from the side her group entered. "I noticed as well. Our side we cleared even had a supply closet that was exactly the same. Though the office doesn't have any screens. In fact, the desk has nothing except for a poster and even the monitor is missing. The doors are also controlled by buttons on the sides with one of them possibly controlling the door lights," I agreed. "Must know a lot about the pizzeria's to remember that. Even I can't fit that sort of information in my data base," said Springbonnie. "I spent a whole week working at the pizzeria around the time I become one of you. How could I not forget the whole layout of that place," I responded. "I'm assuming your side was cleared. We got two locked doors on our side that we can't access, which are probably the managers office and generator room. We'll clear both rooms and turn on the power, once done we'll extract the Disruptor and return home," instructed Mangle. "What's the point if we know they're locked? Nobody could enter in those rooms. Actually, forget the managers office and just turn on the power in the generator room. It saves us time from being here," complained Bon Bon. "What about the vents? Someone could've entered the rooms from them. Or for all we know someone is hiding in one of those rooms and just locked the room from the outside to make it seem the company locked them if possible. Hell, they probably got the doors unlocked if possible," I suggested. "Which is why it is important to clear these rooms," said Mangle as she exited the room and made her way towards the hallway, while we all followed behind. "And I thought I used to complain too much," said Bonnie noting Bon Bon's behavior. "Took you a while to figure that out as well," I added in. "We'll clear this room first," said Mangle stopping at the door closest to the right. We all huddled to where she was as she took out one of the keys and tried to place it in the keyhole, though only for it to not fit. She handed the key to Foxy, as Mangle took out the other key and inserted it in the keyhole for another try. It fit in perfectly as she turned to look at us and held up her hand.

She held up three fingers.

Then Two.

Then One.

Then none.

The order was given. She turned the knob quickly and swung open the door while entering quickly to give us path to follow behind her. This appeared to be the managers office, though immediately there wasn't much to this room. We all spread out through the room, as I made my way to the filing cabinets near one of the corners of the room. "Doesn't appear to be anyone here. Or anything," pointed out Foxy as I opened the cabinets, while finding nothing at all. "Didn't expect to anyways. My father wasn't one to leave behind evidence anyways. If he did the investigation over the pizzeria's would be over by now," I responded continuing to skim through the cabinets. "Man! I wanted to at least get an antique from this place that looked cool," said Springbonnie. "Wouldn't matter. Everything here is just generic or doesn't have value," said Bonnie. "There's nothing in the filing cabinets," I responded closing the last one and turning around towards everyone. "All we have left is the generator room," said Foxy. "Don't let your guard down just because it's the final room to check and let the enemy gain the upper hand. I wouldn't hope us to go down that way," said Mangle. All of us exited the office and made our way towards the final room, all anxious to find out what was on the other side. Of course we knew what was on the other side in terms of what the room was, but anything else besides the basic facts. Foxy walked over to the door and inserted the key she was given earlier in the keyhole, as she glanced at Mangle. Mangle nodded in response as Foxy held up her hand again to commence our search.

All fingers went down to none once again.

She unlocked the door and busted it open as she took lead into the room. This indeed was the generator room, due to the controls being in the room along with the other controls for the power here. We all walked in while looking everywhere for any signs of hostiles or anything out of place in particular. No one was in this room. "Total waste of time," said Bon Bon in a louder tone now. "We can all talk normally now, and this place is clear. Hopefully," said Mangle in response. "You think we missed something?" I asked her. "I don't know. I just feel we weren't thorough enough," she responded. "Ah, if we missed something we'll take care of it. Maybe we'll find a rats nest or something! That'll be cool," responded Springbonnie as she walked over to the controls for the power. "Now this will show the secrets." She flipped the switch for the power, as for nothing to happened. Springbonnie turned to look at the controls in confusion as she switched it off and on again, only for the same results to be present. "Nice results. Couldn't have risen the pride more than myself," Bon Bon mocked. "Oh my god," said Bonnie walking over to her while shaking his head. "You didn't even check to turn on the power for each room." Bonnie flipped on all the switches for all the rooms from the side power box and flipped the primary switch off and back on, though even his assistance had no effect on the problem. Even he was baffled just by how he looked at the box in confusion. "What's wrong with this darn thing?" Springbonnie questioned. I walked on over to where they were as they both moved aside for me to determine the problem. Further inspection on the fuse showed no problem or tampering, meaning another aspect that controlled the power was the problem. "The fuse box is fine. Might be the wiring or because this place is old. Still. I would think my dad would have more efficient wiring which seems a little off to me," I noted turning back around. "We'll have to make due with our night vision. Let's retrieve the Disruptor and depart once done," said Mangle as we all exited the generator room and walked back towards the main room. "I'm surprised you got so far on using the fuse box. You got brains now rather than feet to use to run," said Springbonnie to Bonnie. "There's a thing called observation. I had brains though I used them in the wrong manner," said Bonnie. "From what I've been told, you were described as a coward," said Foxy joining in on the conversation. "Ok, I wasn't coward. Just was more concerned over my life and not having a say in the situations I partook in. Still, I rather not have my circuits crushed due to avoidable circumstances," responded Bonnie who seemed to be defensive. "I've had to adapt to fight with my fists like a savage, as if it wasn't hard enough fitting already. But I'll gladly be at Mangle's and your side so I can relax when this is all over. Needed it the day I joined this fight." "Never thought I heard those words from you. And it took them long enough to be heard," said Mangle as we approached the side of the stage. "Cover me while I get the Disruptor." We all nodded in agreement as she was feeling around the bottom part at the side of the stage. I'll say Henry did sure consider his ways for keeping his weapons hidden away from my father, and that isn't an easy task to do. While Mangle was busy trying to get the weapon and the others were busy keeping watch, I found myself distracted by the stage of this place. For a moment it felt like I could almost hear words that belonged in a conversation that took place her, as if I was apart of it. But the words were growing louder and seemed to resemble the voice of my father, like he was here right now. I was starting to feel off and the words were growing so loud they felt like they were next to my ears. Before I knew it I'd collapsed on the ground while I could hear the voices of the others, though even their vocals were drowned out by the words of my father.

"MichaelMichaelMichael!"

Somehow Mangle's voice made her way through the loud, yet inaudible words of my father as everything before me went dark. All for that darkness to be gone in a moment to the face of my father and for his words to phase back into a previous reality.

"Today's a day that will be long remembered. Wouldn't you agree Purple Guy?"
