Chapter 65: The Flipside

Springtrap's P.O.V

"God! How dark is it?" I asked getting out of the portal while looking around. The whole area was covered with dead trees, unsaturated soil, and dreadful darkness. A place I guess defined the Flipside and it's entirety. "Springtrap! Over here!" called out Mangle's voice. I looked to see her and the others at the end of the path in front of me as I walked over to them. "Glad to see you still well." "So, this is the Flipside?" I asked approaching them while looking around. "It appears so. Not the type of hospitality we're offered usually," said Shadow Freddy. "So? Where do we start?" I asked looking at Mangle. "Not sure. We'll check and see where this path leads. Just remember to be aware of anything here irregular. We don't know what this place holds," responded Mangle. "Probably the worst we can imagine," said Bonnie. "Ah! Can't be that bad. Worse enough to be in the mind of being glitched," said Springbonnie. "Maybe for you," I added in as we all walked down the path. "You think anyone knows we're here? And by that I mean anyone here that is an enemy?" asked Bonnie. "I'm unsure of that. I expected defenses or at least guards. But this. There is no tactics here as a means of defense," responded Mangle. "Could be a trap. Being in one makes you look like a fool for not observing the noticeable signs," I said looking at a tree with three crows perched on top. The crows all flew off making noises, probably to alert our presence to themselves and others. "It's possible. Though they probably don't need defenses to stop anyone of us from getting here. It's likely they once thought people such as us were incapable of breaching their defenses," said Shadow Freddy. "Though, it concerns me how they would've known of our progress and that they haven't taken it into consideration." "Maybe the word didn't get out? I don't know, we don't how their communications work. Or if they even have any," said Bonnie. "Are we even sure this is the Flipside?" "Probably is. Who else has this weird forest that's all gloomy and dark laying around unprotected? Sure would be an unsettling place to sleep at," said Springbonnie. "That's if you add some light." "Sure does remind me of something that would belong in my mind," I said. Suddenly, we all stopped to the sound of a crunch of a tree branch to our right while all of us got ready for whatever it was nearby. "Course of action?" I asked awaiting for our next move. "Stay put," responded Mangle as we all waited. Out from apart of the tree peered the eye of what looked like Balloon Boy, at least from what I could tell. "Is that Balloon Boy?" I asked. "It does. I can tell by the color patterns," said Bonnie. "Stay away," he said still behind the tree and peering his eye from the side. "It's ok! We're friends! We mean you no harm," said Mangle. "Are you sure?" he asked. "We're here to defeat the evil here that has taken your freedom. Come out," said Mangle. "Ok. Everyone, you can come out now. It's safe," he said motioning behind him. "Others?" questioned Bonnie. Out from behind the trees came different weird animatronics. Some I recognized, some I didn't even know existed. The Balloon Boy was apparently Nightmare Balloon Boy, the same nightmare we found with the other nightmares at that house underneath the Sister Location the last time we were there. The other nightmare was Nightmare Puppet, looking sinister as ever. There was also these weird orange versions of Nightmare Bonnie and Nightmare Chica, both I hadn't seen before. Then there was, for some reason, a coffee machine and this weird beaver animatronic. "More friends for us," said Springbonnie happily. "Who are all of you?" asked Mangle. "I'm Nightmare Balloon Boy. That's Jack-O-Bonnie, Jack-O-Chica, Nightmarionne, Coffee, and Mr. Chipper. We've been trapped here. To be used. To be mindless servants and minions," said Nightmare Balloon Boy. "It's awful! All this torture we endure. Makes me want to inject my pain to see them perish! Oh how wonderful that would be!" exclaimed Jack-O-Chica. "This thing got's some craziness in her," said Bonnie to us. "Split personality. Obviously, she is," I responded. "Eh! This place stinks! Makes me want to steam! Ah!" said Coffee. "How long have you all been here?" asked Shadow Freddy. "Who knows? Days. Weeks. Months. Not long but it feels like an eternity here," responded Jack-O-Bonnie fiddling with his claws. "It's been tough here. I've tried to help them here to recover and reduce the pain permanent. But some wounds don't heal," responded Nightmarionne. "Look. We're here to get out of here. All of you. I'm not going to watch the six of you stay here in this type of hell. Not when I'm responsible," I said. "What do you mean by 'responsible'?" asked Nightmare Balloon Boy. "We're going to get all of you out of here. We got others who are trying to achieve the same goal as us. All we need to do is find the exit and defeat the thing stopping us. The Creator," said Mangle. "You mean Chipper?" We all looked towards Mr. Chipper, even the others near him had turned to look at him. "He's the one you're looking to defeat." "He's responsible for this?" I asked. "Yes. He's the one who pulls the strings and controls everything here. He creates the creatures for his own doing, for his own vision," he said. "We're powerless with the might he holds. But maybe with your help and the others you speak off, we can end this. We can be free." "Doubt it. We've tried rising up to him and disobeying his commands. Almost got us destroyed for it. He has any animatronic here he wants and makes them glitched to be slaves. Forces them to do what he pleases. Which to me is just to control this world. Does the same thing with those animatronic he creates; just to be slaves and to be the people he desires to have. Anyone with no will that will follow without hesitation," said Jack-O-Bonnie. "No one can defeat him. We've lost the day he came into to existence." "He's right, we're doomed!" exclaimed Jack-O-Chica sinking her hand into her hands. "Oh! Not unless we strike with fear and violence! Ha, ha!" "Ah, eh! I don't know! He's tough. No big shot got nothing on him. We lose, it'll be for nothing, eh!" said Coffee. "I'm not going to let this thing stop me at all! I've gone through hell to get here! Nothing has stopped me! Not even death! So what will?!" I exclaimed. "Well, nothing hopefully if you have us and your friends defeat Chipper," said Nightmare Balloon Boy. "Eh! Can't forget that other manic!" said Coffee. "What manic? We know a whole lot! Pretty sure I'm one," said Springbonnie. "Ah! The purple one! He's something!" responded Coffee as steam poured out of his top lid. I directly looked at him, even if he didn't have eyes. "Hush! We don't speak of him," said Nightmarionne. "Where is he," I demanded walking over to her. "You don't want to find him. That's a statement that will save your sanity and yourself," responded Nightmarionne. "Not when he is part of me. I created him," I said sounding prominent of myself and yet responsible. All of them turned to look at each other, not because of fear or concern, but of their understanding. "Then you must venture deep in the woods. You won't find him, but only he'll find you," said Nightmarionne pointing towards the woods. "He's a demon. One that has no control of himself," said Mr. Chipper. "Not without a guardian. The one who brought him to life. The one who powers him," I said. "The one he wants." "All of a sudden, I could feel myself twitching and the nerve of evil consuming myself. The feeling of the one who dominated my own control and will that belonged to me. "At last you've come to my world. The one I helped create. The place you created," I said with my eyes purple. "If you wish to accept the one who controls fate, then proceed to come find me. Before your scent of blood leads a path towards you." I felt free again as my eyes were normal again, only for the moment. Everyone looked at me, knowing the monster had its grasp on me once more. "I have to end him. For good. I let the past live long enough for him to learn everything about me and form his own life," I said looking down. "I've allowed myself to become the monster by letting him thrive on my leftover anger and rage that was once his." "You said it yourself it was your destiny to defeat him to have peace. You destroy him, he'll have no power over you again," said Bonnie. "Yeah! Sounds like being glitched except you have the right to fight back and redeem control," said Springbonnie. "Thanks. I really do appreciate it," I responded. "I know when I helped you, the only thing you were eager to do was kill William and fix your past. Nothing has stopped you and I presume the same will happen with Purple Guy. I won't be there to help you, but our bonds and strength will," said Shadow Freddy. "That's why I always favored you," I responded as Mangle walked over to me. "If you don't come back..." she said. " I will. I always do," I responded. "Well, just in case..." she continued. She walked over to me as she planted a kiss on my cheek; in a way it felt like that was from the old Mangle. No. She is Mangle, my true Mangle. She always has been. "Don't think I'll be forgetting that or you," I said with a smile as she smiled back. "We'll continue to search for Chipper and the source of this place while your gone. Take care," said Shadow Freddy. I nodded as I walked past everyone and into the forest, though not until a few last words from Mangle. "Hey Springtrap!" I turned around to her voice calling out my name, eager to know what she had to say. "When you see him, make sure every bit of purple on him is wiped off to show his nonexistent life after." "That's not the only thing I'll be wiping off the floor that belongs to him," I said walking in the forest. "That devil will perish in his own hell I'll create just for him. Exactly how he made this place my hell."
