Chapter 38: No soul... only darkness
Funtime Freddy's P.O.V
"Hey douchebag! What do you want?!" asked Bon Bon trying to insult him. Even for being in this type of situation, we always seemed to not take it seriously, yet that was something I couldn't always do. "Apart from you insults, I've come for all of you. I know what you're trying to do, and I can't allow that," responded RXQ. Shadow Freddy made a face that seemed like he was about to go after him, but was restraining himself from taking that action. "I hope you know we're prepared to prevent you from harming any of us," I said. "Oh do you really think you're so brave? You're a fool. You just trying to hide you fear, that's what they all do," responded RXQ. "The only fool here is you for aiding with him," said Shadow Freddy. "Ah! I see you' still have your tongue to speak?" asked RXQ. "You need to realize what you're doing isn't going to be a good result," said Shadow Freddy. "It isn't going to bring pleasure to anyone but yourself." "The humans are outdated, obsolete. If they were created why do every single one of them have faults and mistakes?" he asked. "I hope you realize you were once one of them. You're insulting yourself," I said. "I'm RXQ, not John. I am my own entity, and so was he," he responded. "Do you even bother to hear yourself? You're acting as if you're your own person; your not. You're just a shadow of my friend once. Someone who's desire and will to be reborn took control," said Shadow Freddy. "That may be so, but things have changed. That serves no purpose to for-fill anymore, only what my master pleases," RXQ responded. "Robots are made more perfect than humans, they make no mistakes, no failures that exist." "Then you're truly gone, at least what was left of you John," said Shadow Freddy. "Why do insist on believing he is still here? He's not. All you have left of him is me. RXQ," he responded. "That's not what I hoped to hear," responded Shadow Freddy. "And I'll silence that thought!" He charged at RXQ as he flew up to attack him. "Springtrap! You know how to use your powers?" I asked. "I think I do, but it'll take a minute to figure it out," he responded. "I hate to say it, even for Shadow but it may be the only way we can end him for good," I said. "What about the phantoms or twisted animatronics? What if they show up?" asked Foxy. "I'm pretty sure they would've shown up by now if he really needed them," I responded. "RXQ just wants it between him and Shadow." RXQ and Shadow were both off the ground, flying in the air as gods getting ready to clash and triumph over one another. Shadow shot a beam at RXQ as he put up his shield to deflect it. Even that wasn't enough to stop Shadow, as he flew towards him with another attack. Even RXQ wasn't aware of what he was doing as was thrown at the wall. Though the reality would be that he would crash into the wall, but he wasn't the one who had an ordinary repeating thing happen to everyone. He stopped his path as he smiled a grin, most likely to insult him. "You should know better than to do that," said RXQ. "I do," responded Shadow Freddy as he started shooting multiple beams repeatedly. It didn't even seem like he was attacking thoughtfully or with strategy, he was being reckless; he had just been pushed over his limit. "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST DIE!" he yelled. "We know we don't," responded RXQ. "We just relive differently." He shot a huge beam, using all the power he had at Shadow Freddy, and even that wasn't enough for Shadow to sustain himself. He put up his shield blocking his attack. The beam didn't stop, and so didn't Shadow's determination to protect himself. "Fuck! Springtrap you got it?" I asked. "I think so," he responded coming over to me. "You need to use it fast. Either that or Shadow gets his ass kicked," I said. "I gotcha ya," Springtrap responded getting ready to use it. He stuck his hands out as he tried using his powers, but nothing happened. He looked at his hands as he tried attempting a second time, as all of us looked at each other worrying what was wrong with him. "Is something wrong?" asked Golden Freddy. "N-Nothings happening! What the hell?" he said in shock. "Shadow is losing his shield!" said Mangle pointing at the direction of where RXQ and Shadow Freddy were. Shadow was struggling to keep the shield, he was defenseless. "Fuck!" I said as I ran towards RXQ. "FREDDY!" yelled Foxy. I would've said what I was doing, but I was more focused on saving Shadow. I was close to RXQ as I balled my hand into a fist, ready to strike. Yet with all the effort I had and the courage withheld in me, it wasn't enough. RXQ looked at me, and with one smile it was over. He took one hand as he shot a beam at me, and I was Shadow's last hope. The force knocked me into the wall, leaving me defeated. I ignored that and the pain, while I used the best of my ability to looked up to I could see Shadow's shield breaking, as he looked at Springtrap, accepting his demise. Springtrap was horrified to know it was all over, and I had the same thought. And for once, I felt sad, and in fear. And with one big shatter, it was all over for Shadow Freddy. The shield shattered as the beam penetrate right through, as the beam touched him; killing our friend. RXQ beam stopped as he stood, proud to be victorious over Shadow with no regrets, empathy, remorse, or soul... only darkness. The only thing left of him was the spot Shadow stood with all he had to defend himself with. And Springtrap's scream of lose for his friend. "You know, he always thought he could protect others, but not himself," said RXQ with a grin. "YOU BITCH! YOU AND HENRY WILL PAY FOR THIS!" yelled Springtrap infuriated. "Oh. Him? I see you all haven't been cleansed to see the truth," said RXQ. Springtrap growled at him as he charged at him, not being rational. "I would deal with the rest of you, but I'll let him be the one to handle it," said RXQ. "He's been dying to see his creations again." And in one second, he was gone. Springtrap stopped, feeling like he accomplished nothing to avenge his fallen comrade, none of us did. "FFFFFUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!" he yelled leaving the room. Everyone stared at him walk out as I got up, feeling empty inside. "I can't believe it," I said softly. "He's gone... and I couldn't save him... none of us could."
