Chapter 9- Where's da damn chocolate? (Sleepover vol4)

It's five a.m.

Everyone is in deep slumber. You can even hear snores coming from the two bedrooms. You, however,  have never felt more unable to go to sleep.
You haven't drank anything like too much caffeine. The one to be blamed for this,  is the high tension your feeling for no particular reason.

So, to put to use those hours you'll be turning and tossing around in your handmade 'bed' while bothering Jimin --someone who you definitely do not want sleeping in your apartment-- you've decided to sit in your mini studio and work on the song.

Until now, you've gotten down to creating two different beats for the song. One is more upbeat and energetic while the other is more soothing and calm.

You definitely prefer to go with the second one. It's more relaxing and fits more with the lyrics. However you will get the opinions from the boys as they'll be the ones performing the song and their word matters.

Suddenly, you hear a crashing sound from the kitchen, instinctively you get up to check out what happened.
You slowly open the door to from your studio and cringe when it squeaks.

There go your hopes of moving like a ninja. Once you open the door enough to walk out you slowly head to the kitchen. The lights are turned off, so you think that probably something just fall from its place and decide to head back.

However, this thought changes once you hear a hiss coming from someone. Your hand instantly slaps the light flick, turning on the lights.
Your eyes land on Jimin, who jumps in fear.

"What are you doing?" you ask raising an eyebrow as you see that there's a knife on the floor.

Was he planning on murdering you? Nooooo, that would be too much. However, at this point your brain cannot function very well, plus going through all possible scenarios is not a bad idea. Unless you freak out, thankfully, though, you don't.

"How about non of your business?" Jimin responds and bends down to take the knife and place it in the sink.

"Actually you're in my kitchen, at five in the morning, doing who knows what, so yeah, it kinda is my business." you purse your lips, folding your arms to your chest.

Jimin looks at you and frowns, "I was thirsty"  he says and then you notice that he's pressing his hands against each other and there's some blood dripping down from them.

"Did you cut yourself with that knife?" Your eyes grow wide.

You walk over to him and force him to give you his wounded hand. At first he tries pulling it right back and gives you a glare, but you cut him in the middle and force his hand back to you, so you can examine the cut.
It's not very big, but it's not small either, it's right in the middle of his palm and the bleeding doesn't seem to be stopping.

You grab a small towel and start putting pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding.

"Wait here and press on it," you sigh and turn around to go to the bathroom and bring the first aid kit.
You succeed coming with the kit, without making any noise to wake the others. You find Jimin exactly as you left him, he looks like he's been frozen. Probably got lost in his own mind.

Who knows what he could be thinking.

You walk to him again and place the kit on the counter, you open it and pull out the essentials.

You take his hands in yours and he slightly jumps at the sudden contact.
You take off the towel and see that the bleeding has stopped, so you start cleaning his wound. He winces once the alcohol comes in contact with his wound but doesn't move, whatsoever.

Once you're done cleaning the wound and preventing any infections you grab a bandage from the first aid kit and start twirling it around his hand.

"Is this too tight?" you ask, not looking up at him.

"It's good" he says and you secure the bandage.

While wrapping the bandage around his hand you notice that his hands and fingers are rather small compared to other male hands.

You feel like chuckling at the cuteness of his hands but once you know he'll ask you why you're acting that way and you have no intention of telling him his hands are cute.

Once you're done you look up at him and you realize the proximity of the two of you is extremely dangerous. You find him staring right down in your eyes.

For some unknown reason to you, you find yourself captured in his chocolate brown eyes, they look so warm and embracing right now. This is something new you see in Park Jimin, and you probably won't mind seeing it more often.

You feel your cheeks getting warmer and you break from your haze as clear your throat and step back a bit to make more space between the two of you.

"So, why aren't you asleep?" You ask trying to make aura around you more comfortable.

Jimin sighs in defeat, he's too fuzzed from his sleep, to think of a way to smart-ass-ly avoid answering your question, "I was thirsty...", he says.

"Last time I checked you didn't need a knife to drink water" you respond sarcastically making a very valid point.

He growls at the way you respond to him.

"I don't know where the cups are and not being able to see in the dark I somehow managed to cut my self, Okay?"

"Okay, but you should take more care of your small hands" You smirk teasingly.

Hey, he's teased you so many times, you have every right to return the favor.

His face falls into a poker face once he hears your words. His cheeks redden a little bit as well.

"Whatever," you sigh and turn around and open the cabinet with the glass cups.

Jimin silently and slightly confused watches your moves as you take a glass cup out and grab a bottle from another cabinet,  screw the top off and pour water in the glass cup. Once it's filled you close the bottle's tap and hand Jimin over the glass of water.

"Goodnight, or Goodmorning, whatever" you nonchalantly say as you give his blank face another look before turning towards the exit of the kitchen and heading back to your studio.

Midway there, you get a feeling that tells you that you should eat some chocolate. You turn on your heel and enter the kitchen once again.
You find Jimin gulping down the water you gave him, you don't look at him much, though, as the need for chocolate kicks in once again making you more needy.

You search the cabinets for the chocolate bars you brought yesterday but their nowhere to be found.

"What are you searching?" Jimin says, his voice not being anything near hostile neither friendly. Just neutral.

"Chocolate" you respond.

Since he's not being mean towards you, you have no reason to attack. You never attack first, always the one who attacks in defense, when needed of course.

"There's none, Jin and the rest of the boys at it all" he responds placing the glass cup in the sink.

"Well, that's what everyone thinks" you smirk to yourself as you remember you hid a spare chocolate bar in a secret place.

As you reach for the top cabinet and search behind the pots you find nothing. Your face goes blank.

Where's da damn chocolate?

"Yeah... That spot is not much of a secret anymore" he smiles giving off an ironic but playful aura.

What's wrong with him? Did he lose too much blood? Is he okay?

You stop thinking weird of jimin's behavior so as not to jinx it and close the cabinet in defeat.

"Awh.. I really wanted chocolate right now..." You breath out,  "I guess I'll go buy some in the morning after killing the one responsible for stealing my chocolates"  you mutter to yourself and Jimin almost lets a laugh escape his mouth. Almost.

You look around in search of something to satisfy yourself with and your eyes land on the green apples in the fruit bowl, on the table. It's not the same as chocolate... But it's not nothing either.

You grab one, and attempt to leave with no more words towards Jimin, but you let a silent (but loud enough for him to hear)  'Goodnight'  as you exit the room and then head back to your studio, not returning to the kitchen this time.

You take a big bite out of the apple and enjoy its sweet yet sour taste. It's not too juicy, but not to dry either. Just how you like it.

God bless the person who picked these apples.

You think to yourself, unaware to the fact that Eun-bi had forced Jimin to go grocery shopping with her the other day, and he is the one who chose these specific apples.

As you continue munching on your apple, you hit a button on your computer and the music for the song starts silently playing. It's the second, more soothing one. You listen to it closely, looking to find any imperfections.

Suddenly, your door opens and you find Jimin coming in and taking a seat next to you, after he closes the door behind him. You rush to turn the music off and look at him dumbfounded, "What are you doing?"  you ask.

"I can't sleep so you gotta keep me entertained" He says, not bothering to look at you and presses a key on the keyboard to let the music,  you were previously playing, continue to play out.

"Is this for the song you're supposed to prepare for us?" he asks and finally turns to look at you, only to meet your hella shocked face.

He frowns for a moment and then flicks your forehead, "Hey! Answer to your Oppa!" he says with a soft yet strict voice.

Your stomach drops at the last sentence. And the abusing of the title 'Oppa'  has started.

"Shut up Jimin, and don't flick my forehead" you growl and rub your forehead.

"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, you need to be taught some manners. I'm older than you, I have every right to do that and you need to pay me some respect" he says in a playful manner but he probably means every word he's saying.

"It's just four flicking days," you growl, "and I will show you respect the moment you decide to respect me as well" you say and throw the, now eaten, apple in the bin, forcefully.

Jimin's jackass side has returned and you're not excited about it.
At least you know that nothing is wrong with him and he hasn't hit his head anywhere.

"So, have you written any lyrics for this?" he says changing completely the subject.

"Yeah, here they are" you nonchalantly hand the paper with the lyrics over to him and get back do searching for the other beat on your files.

But as you start typing you suddenly get a rush of unconfidence and...embarrassment?

For some odd reason you feel anxious as you can practically feel Jimin's eyes on that paper while he reads through the lyrics.

For a spare moment you even feel insecure. You want to stop Jimin from reading further. Is it because the song explains your fears of falling in love? Maybe because it somehow feels very personal and you know that if someone is smart enough they'll figure your hidden secrets behind the lyrics.

But why do not want Jimin to read it?

Well, for one, if he figures it out, he'll tease the hell out of you. Second, he could take advantage of that. After all he did say that he'd ruin you. And ruining you through 'love' after looking past your wall and finding out your weaknesses could definitely work as a plan.

No, Y/N that's a crazy scenario you're thinking there! Even as a lie, Jimin hates you too much to actually be friendly to you.

However... Do you want Jimin to show interest in you? Even if it's just a lie?
