Chapter 47- Misunderstood

Your eyes flutter open and all you are met with is absolute darkness.

Questions that pop up in your mind without any permission bother your mind.

Who are you?

Where are you?

What is going on?

What year is it?

Then as your mind becomes awake you figure out your identity and what year you're supposedly in, also you remember the last place you were when you were awake; the elevator.

Am I still in the elevator?

You try moving yourself around a bit and you can feel some soft covers surrounding your body, as well as whatever you are lying on feels like it's heavenly. It definitely isn't like the cold ground and metal walls of the elevator.

I got out?
When?

Seeing that you still haven't fully come back to reality you decide to look around your surroundings and see if the place you are in familiar.

At first when you look around the room you are in you can't see a thing, however gradually your eyes become accustomed to the lighting in this room and you can see the outlines of a few furniture.

All these figures look all too familiar; it's your room.

So, since this is your room, if you lean towards the nightstand and outstretch your arm a little bit, you'll find your night light, right?

And righ you are.

Thankfully the nightlight you have is not bright enough to blind you, and you don't have to go through the torture if seeing weird spots in your vision for the next few minutes.

You lean back on your bed and hug the comforter.

You feel like you've had an awesome and big amount of sleep. It feels like life is perfect, and there are no problems troubling you. You look at the ceiling and take a deep breath of enjoyment.

After you exhale a smile finds your face.

I feel so rested,

You think in pleasure. However that pleasure dissappears and soon you are taken over by fear because you can feel something moving next to you.

Your eyes go wide instantly, you want to turn your head to the side and see what thing is lying next to you, however you are too scared incase it is a psychopath killer that has decided to abduct you and have you be his little toy for torture.

Okay, okay, whatever it is just because you're not looking at it doesn't mean it's not there.

On three.

One.

Two.

Three.

You turn your head and what you see scares the shit out of you. It frightens you so much you actually let out a small scream and push yourself off of your bed.

As your collision with the hard, cold floor happened you managed to hit your elbow.

"Aaaaaahh, sssshhhh" you hiss under your breath, putting pressure against the hurt elbow, trying not to wake the thing that was lying next to you a few minutes ago.

You didn't get to see a lot but what you saw sure left an impact on you.

The thing, seemed like a head, it's face was turned towards you since you saw a mouth half open, however the rest of the face was in a tangled dark haired mess.

If you picture it right now it doesn't seem scary at all but, given that you have just woken up and the lighting in the room is not enough to let you grasp the fact that it is Eunbi that lied beside you a few moments ago, you have every right to think it was a sort of monster or anything.

"Did you just scream?" you hear Eunbi's sleepy voice come from above and soon you see her head in its total bed-hair glory, coming up to your vision.

"You scared me," you admit as your heart seems to become calmer and now that you've made sure that no monster or psychopath is in your room you crawl up to your bed and cover yourself under the warm covers.

"What time is it?" Eun-bi asks and automatically you turn your head to the side to see the time on your clock, "It's... Five In the morning,"

Five in the morning? It was evening when I got stuck in the elevator, how did I sleep for so long?

"Five in the morning??  What the? Why did you wake me up?" Eunbi asks giving you a shocked face and punching your shoulder.

The moment her fist comes in contact with your skin you flinch back in pain,"ooowww!!" you whine, while rubbing the hurt spot.

"Oh, I hurt you? Sorry," she says giving you an apologetic look, "let's go back to sleep," she says and leans over you to turn the light off.

Once Eunbi has returned to her comfortable sleeping position a question shoots up to your mind and you blurt it out with no warning,

"Why the heck aren't you in your bed?" you ask and turn your body to face Eunbi.

"Urrrghhhh," she growls, "My mom is sleeping there, remember? My mom and Mark came yesterday. My mom is in my room and Mark is on the couch,  now go back to sleep it's too early to properly function,"  she turns her back to you and attempts once again to go back to sleep.

"Okay..." You mutter and turn your body to the side to fall asleep.

However, you've obviously had more than enough hours of sleep, so going back to it is obviously not going to work.

And besides your mind has begun getting all worked up.

You start wondering what the actual hell happened the previous day.

Who got you out?

How did they bring you upstairs?

Was it Eunbi that got worried by your absence and started searching for you?

But, how would she have figured out that I  was in the elevator?

The another memory pops up in your mind.

Before your phone died you decided to call Taehyung since Eunbi was not responding, yet again, Taehyung was not the one who answered. It was Jimin.

The moment you think of Jimin you stomach decides to flip.

Was Jimin the one who told whoever got me out where I was?

For an odd reason you body is possessed by a beautiful feeling, called hope. However it doesn't take long or many thoughts to get it rid of.

Naaah, I don't think so. He'd never do such thing. We've made a deal anyways.

Someone probably heard my screams and decided to help me out.

As you think of this you try closing your eyes once again to drift off to sleep making a note in your mind to ask Eunbi how you were found.  Now you are facing a prow it is impossible to go to sleep, you feel so much energy right now. It feels as if you missed on do many things while sleeping, you need to make up for the time lost.

You can't lie down anymore it feels too much and also suffocating.

You throw the covers off of yourself and sit up on the bed. You search for your slippers, once you find them, with blind vision, you slide your feet in them and get up leaving the room as quietly as possible to not wake up Eunbi again; she'd be furious if otherwise.

You quietly walk through the hallway towards the kitchen, you swiftly get in the room the moment you realize that food is something that exists in this world and is vital for one's survival your stomach growls.

"I know you're hungry, buddy, I'll fix us something," You pat your stomach over the hoodie you're wearing.

It's the same one I wore yesterday... Good That means no one tried to change my clothing.

You think to yourself feeling good that you were not exposed to anyone.

Your stomach growls once again protesting for food. You walk to the fridge to see if there's milk, thankfully there is. Then you walk towards the cupboards and pull out your favorite cereal.

You put both into a bowl and then enjoy your breakfast. But of course this is not going to be enough, you haven't eaten in ages. You can practically eat whatever's in the fridge and you'll still hungry.

As you pull out from the fridge the necessary ingredients for a huge sandwich, you hear footsteps coming approaching.

You turn around and what you are met, with is Mark with his eyes half open, his lips super dry and his hair sticking out towards every direction.

You got the sudden need to giggle at this cute sight however you remind yourself that you are not that close with this person to giggle with his morning face.

"Good morning, Mark-ssi," You tell him, as you start placing the thin slices of tomato in your sandwich.

He becomes startled when he sees you and it takes him a while to answer back, "Good morning," he says with a hoarse voice, and walks towards the sink in search of a glass.

You eye him as he keeps searching for that glass, but all of them are in their cupboard. Of course Mark wouldn't know where the cups and glasses are, he only came here yesterday.

So to get him out of his thirsty misery, you turn around, open the cupboard and a glass for him out. You hand it over to him and he makes a small bow with his head showing gratitude.

He walks to the fridge, opens it and pulls out a bottle of water. Then he returns to where he left the glass and pours some cold water, from the bottle, into it.

"Why are you so early up in the morning? You traveled from away yesterday, I don't suppose it was an easy journey," you say as you finish preparing your sandwich, trying to make a small talk with Mark to break the ice between the two of you.

You pull out a small plate from the cupboard and place your precious sandwich on it, "Do you want a sandwich?" you ask Mark after he's done drinking his water.

"No, thank you," he tells you and you begin gathering all the things you used.

"I guess you are up because you can't sleep anymore?" he asks while pouring another glass of water for himself.

"Yup," you nod your head.

"Hm, next time don't lose your sleep because partying seems appealing to you, look where it got you, you fell asleep in an elevator," Mark says as refills the bottle and then places it back in the fridge.

You find yourself at confusion.

What does he mean by 'Don't lose your sleep because partying seems appealing'?

Does he think you were this tired because you got drunk and did not sleep due to you being at the party?

Hell to the no.

He has misunderstood.

Suddenly, you understand that he probably has a bad picture about you and you feel the need to fix it as soon as possible.

Why?

You don't know, but you're still gonna do it.

"I'm afraid you have misunderstood, I'm not a person that you'd call a 'party animal'," you begin.

"Then why did you not sleep all night?" he asks raising an eyebrow.

"Because I was looking after someone who drank way more than they can't handle," you say, not giving away the gender of the person.

As you think of the huge tangled mess you are in with Jimin you get a feeling of discomfort and you purse you lips in annoyance.

"Is that person close?" he asks drinking some more water.

"No, not at all," you say, believing that you are being honest.

"Then why would you look after their drunk selves?" he asks looking at you like you're a loonatic.

"Aaah, it's a long and complicated story you don't wanna hear about," you tell him with a chuckle, "Just know that I'm not someone who is a party animal,"

"Okay," he nods feeling too awkward to say anything else. Not that any other phrase than 'okay' comes down his mind.

"Will you go back to sleep?" you ask after you take a bite from your sandwich.

"No, I'm gonna go exercise, my muscles are sore from yesterday," he says and places the now empty glass in the sink.

Now you find yourself at question,

Why would his muscles be sore when all he did at the plane was sitting?

Without even realizing your find your mouth saying the words you thought off and Mark is staying silent for a second contemplating whether he should tell you or not.

"Because I carried all the way from the first floor to here yestrsay," he says and your eyes nearly jump out of their sockets.
