Connie's POV:

My mom just dropped me off in front of the temple and I'm not sure if I'm ready to tell him. I want to run wherever my legs take me, but I want to tell him the truth.

Just breathe Connie and be honest. You got this!

I hesitated to knock on the door but I did anyway. I was surprised to see that Garnet answered.

Steven's POV: ( 15 minutes before Connie came)

I lost track of time since I was so deep in thought. I then noticed that Connie was coming in like 15 minutes. I then took a quick shower. I timed myself and broke a new record of fastest shower ever by 4 minutes and 32 seconds! I then put on my normal clothes since it wasn't that big of a deal. It's not like it's a date, right?

Oh jeez I'm not ready!

"Hello Steven do you need any help with your date?" Garnet asked smirking.

"Garnet i-it's n-not a d-d-date!" I stuttered out. I then noticed my face was flushed with red blush.

"If you want, I'll give you more time to prepare yourself. I'll answer the door when Connie comes and I will give you 15 minutes to rethink what your gonna do and say." She said.

"YOUD DO THAT! THANKS GARNET!!!" I said relived. 15 minutes is enough time to get ready.

Then there was a light knocking found from the door.

"I'll let you stay in my room if your PROMISE you won't pop a bubble. Understand?" She said firmly.

I nodded quickly and ran into her room so fast that I nearly crashed into the door, but thanks to Garnet she already had it open. This is why I love her future vision!

I soon felt relaxed and sat on the floor rethinking of what I will do and say.

(I won't say his thoughts because it's a surprise and because I'm evil😋)

Connie's POV:

Right when I was going to ask Garnet where's Steven she said, "Steven is still getting ready. You are still welcome to come in since he is in my room." She said with a friendly smile on her face.

" Ok thank you Garnet!" I say.

She nods then walks in motioning me to sit on the couch with her.

"You look so stressed out! Are you alright?" She asked in a worried tone. I didn't think it was that noticeable.

" Does it show?" I asked worried

" Yes. You look like you've been at work all day." She said sarcastically.

"Do you mind telling me why?" She asked politely.

"Well I feel like I'm just a simple human when I'm compared to Steven, in which I am. I have a boring life with a boring family. Steven has you guys! You guys are so fascinating! He has his own destiny to follow, with an action packed life! I feel like I'm just a waste of time for him, like I'm just a phase." When I said "like I'm just a phase" Garnet looked a bit worried.

"Connie," she said softly,"did you hear how Pearl treated Greg when he found out about fusion?" I nodded.

"Don't believe her Connie. You are unique in every way. Don't make anyone make you feel down. It would hurt Steven if he found out you think this bad of yourself. You mean so much to him, your his best friend. Pearl regrets what she has said to Greg since she just said that so Greg wouldn't take Rose away from her. She was jealous. Don't worry about it and just speak your mind. Do you understand?" She said in a firm but inspiring voice. I hugged her and said thank you and at that moment Steven walked out of Garnet's room.

"What did I miss?" He asked.
