the tree

I fell into the water. I was stuck under there by the rough current. I don't remember much but I blacked out, that's the last thing I remember.

I don't know how long I was out, but Finnick had jumped in after the spinning stopped and tried saving me.

I coughed water up, and he turned my to my side so I wouldn't swallow it again.

I groaned and looked at him "I'm sorry Finnick-" I said, but he shh me.

"Don't be sorry, Amora," he whispered to me.

I stared at him, his green eyes, I smiled and nodded, he helped me up. "Anyone else gone?" I asked him.

"Emmy's other tribute," he told me, I nodded softly. "And Blight,"

"Okay, how long was I out?" I asked.

"After I pulled you out of the water, a few minutes, but the spinning went on for awhile," he answered. "We have no clue what time it is though, because of the spinning,"

We stopped hearing Katniss running into the woods, we exchanged looks and ran after her. Jabberjays.

They make you here the screams of loved ones. I heard Finnick and my sister screaming. I covered my ears, as did Finnick and Katniss. I have no clue what either of them heard at the time. Finnick killed them, and I sighed, slowly uncovered my ears.

"They're Jabberjays," he told us "We learned about them, they uh make you hear your loved ones screams," I nodded and walked back to the cornucopia.

That night, I was on lookout and then Beetee was. The next morning. Beetee woke us up.

"I have a idea, to get rid of the last career, I can use the tree and my coil to shock them both dead, someone will have to trap Enboria, and take the wire, and trap that I can do the rest,"

I nodded "And who can do that,"

Johanna looked at Katniss, and Katniss nodded "We can do it," Beetee nodded and I smiled at him.

We set up when the sun started setting, I stayed by Beetee, helping him the best I could. From a distance I saw Johanna slice Katniss wrist and a canon go off.

I thought she died. I about killed Johanna but Beetee stopped me "She knocked her tracker out, she's faking," he whispered to me. Johanna had to run off because Katniss had the wire and Katniss ran off when it was safe enough.

"I should go find Finnick" I said and rushed off to find him. He was with Katniss "Here, I have some wrap in my bag," I said, grabbing some wrap and wrapping Katniss's arm. She smiled gently at me.

I was talking with Finnick and I didn't even realize Katniss left. Until he mentioned it.

"Shes at the tree I bet," he whispered to me, we got up and went to the tree, it was dark now and she was standing there.

She pointed her arrow at Finnick and I.

"Woah Woah, Katniss, remember who the real enemy is," he said as a canon went off, it was either Enboria, Chaff, or one of our allies.

Katniss attached the wire to her arrow and shot the forcefield, breaking it.

I remember blacking out and waking up being carried, I thought I was dead. Because I looked at who was carrying me. Gabe.

I blacked out again, and then woke up in a bed, my left wrist wrapped and wounds with bandages on some of my deeper wounds.

They must of took my tracker out.

I looked up, Callie and my mother was there.

"W-what happened?" I asked and Callie looked up, smiling.

"Amorie!" She cheerfully said, despite her being 13 now she still called me Amorie.

"We can't tell you dear," my mother said, "but I know who can," she got up leaving the room.

"Is Finnick okay?" I asked Callie and she nodded.

"He's fine, he is here as well as Aiden and Rosalyn,"

My mum came back with a red head girl who looked about my age, maybe a little older.

"Hello Amora, I'm Esther Mash, I'm a capitol girl, but that doesn't matter, you are at district 13," she said.

I stared at her "What?"

Esther nodded "Katniss destroyed the forcefield, we rescued some of you, but not all of you..."

I sat up "Who didn't you save?" I asked.

"Peeta, Johanna, Emmy and Enboria," she said, sighing softly "They are at the captiol,"

"What!" I shrieked "You left them behind!"

"I didn't- I don't run this, I ran from the capitol and came here, I just help," she said, jumping when I yelled. "But there's some people who wanna meet and see you,"

Aiden stepped in "Come here darling, I have somewhere to take you," I got up, I was so confused, there was so many people here. Aiden took me down the hall, there was a group of people sitting at a table.

Three guys and 2 girls.

One guy turned around, I stood there, and my eyes widened slightly, he smiled at me, I recognized him. "G-Gabe?" I quaked.
