star squad

I stood with the members of what they call 'star squad'. Which was lead by commander Paylor This included Gale, Finnick, Jackson, Boggs, Homes, Mitchell, Leeg 1 & 2, Gabe, Aiden, Landen and then the camera crew. Cressida, Messalla, Pollux, and Castor. Then me of course.

We stood around a table, as Boggs described the holographic map, to locate pods around the capitol. Before Katniss rushed in. I knew she wasn't supposed to be there, I remembered overhearing Coin and Aiden.

"Katniss, what the hell are you doing here?" Gale hissed, grabbing her arm.

"No time for distractions Hawthorne," Boggs demanded, and he sighed, staying quiet.

"The Pods a hidden in the streets around the capitol, to kill any invaders," Boggs said.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 76th annual hunger games," Finnick sarcastically said and we started out.

We didn't get far in, before Peeta joined us, he was still recovering from the capitol torture, so honestly he shouldn't of been there.

I walked with Landen, all I could feel was how a lot of this was my fault. Everyone I cared about is in danger, because of me.

"Amora..." Landen whispered to be softly "Are you alright?"

"I'm worried about my family," I said to him "Everything and Everyone I love has the tendency to be taken away from me,"

"I never did ask... what happened to your father?" He asked me. "You don't have to tell me,"

I shook my head "No it's fine, he uh left after Callie was born, he worked for the capitol, until my first reaping when I was 12, they killed him, we got a letter from the capitol,"

"I'm sorry Amora..." he said to me.

I shrugged and shook it off "It doesn't matter anymore, taking down the capitol does,"

Boggs stopped us all "Back up slowly," he said, we split in half hiding behind walls Katniss shot a arrow and fire game from the walls and we all stayed covered until the fire was completely gone. We slowly walked through, before I heard something go off, my head immediately turning to see Boggs on the ground. Katniss already next to him.

I glanced at Finnick, who just gave me a look of pity. Just like when we first met.

Right after my games, at the party, I was sobbing, bawling my eyes out. Over Gabriel and all the people I had killed. I couldn't believe what I had done.

I looked like a mess, I was a mess. Finnick had opened the door and his face softened, as a I turned to him and he gave me a look of Pitt. "I-I'm sorry..." he muttered "Are you alright?"

I shook my head "I-I wanna be... but I'm not..." I whispered as he sat next to me.

"I'm Finnick Odair," he said softly.

I nodded slightly, sniffing "I know... I watched your games," I mumbled "I'm Amora Clyde,"

He nodded "Aiden told me about you, said you where a sweet girl, I know how much the games ruin people, I'm sorry you had to go threw that,"

I looked at Aiden and he sighed, we continued on, now following Katniss. "Aiden can you promise me something?" I asked quietly.

Aiden nodded "Depends" he replied "What is it?"

"Keep Finnick alive, no matter what," I said, staring at him "I want him Alive, it's my fault he's here,"

"Amora..." he whispered "I watched that kid set fire to the world around him, but he never let a damn flame touch you, he'll do everything in his power to protect you, as will I, I can only try my best,"

"I've seen fire, I've seen war, I've seen life at its fullest and death at its worst, but now there is nothing left, nothing but dust, endless, endless dust, and me a very broken girl, all I wanna do is give up," I told him "The games ruined me, all of this did,"

Aiden sighed "I know darling, I've felt the same, but you and I both need to keep fighting, soon enough we'll get our resting time, your more than a sad story Amora,"

"Shit," I heard someone say, they had stepped on a pod. As she stepped off of it.

We all saw this black ooze starts falling into the area "Run!" Katniss screamed and we all rushed as fast as we could. Peeta attempting to attack Katniss, Mitchell got in the way and was pushed into the ooze.

Finnick was able to restrain Peeta for long enough where the rest of us could get a safe distance away from Peeta, we rushed into the building, and I grabbed onto Finnick pulling him up with us quicker.

"I'm here on a mission for Coin," Katniss tells us. She now has the command from Boggs.

I sighed, I didn't care about what Katniss said, Mitchell was dead and one of the Leeg twins where injured.

Both the Leeg twins stayed behind, we ventured into a capitol home. Where we could see the building the Leeg twins where in.

They where killed because one of them shot outside and the peacekeepers bombed them.

I sat down in-front if the TV, where I saw Caesar Flickerman "Hello people of panem, the capitol would like me to tell you, that the rebels are dead, Katniss Everdeen, Gabriel Donna, Peeta Mellark, Finnick Odair, Amora Clyde, Landen Xaviers-"

"Dead my ass-" I mumbled as Ceasar was cut off by Coin hacking the system to talk. I ignored her as well. We all came up with a plan to go into the sewers to avoid the pods, using Pollux as our guide.

As we ventured into the sewers, we stayed close and behind Katniss, incase there was pods. Walking near Gabriel and Aiden, we all stayed silent. Until we stopped to take a break and sleep. I sat next to Gabriel and Finnick.

I stayed close to my brother figure, as he held my closely and protectively. I slept soundly until Peeta started screaming "No! The mutts Katniss the capitol released mutts! We need to run,"

It took us not even a second to be on the move again. I gripped onto Aiden's hand with fear in my eyes. Real fear, I hadn't had real fear, since I was reaped back when I was 13. We all slid through a small wall, with had a small opening in the middle, Commander Jackson didn't make it in time the mutts devoured her "Run!" I screamed and we all ran. We started a battle with the mutts only moments later. I threw a knife at one, as another one attacked me, but Gabriel killed it for me. After a battle, we where able to reach the ladder.

Finnick and I still struggling to get to the ladder. Pushing mutts off of us we got to it, I went first and then Finnick went. I smiled as he climbed up, before he was pulled down my mutts "Finnick no!" I cried, seeing Katniss getting ready to end his suffering "Stop it Katniss, give me 15 seconds, if I'm not back uo do it,"

I said climbing down and attacking the mutts getting Finnick, he was bleeding, everywhere, i forced him up, a few remaining mutts biting me, I killed them and climbed up after Finnick, who was grabbed by Aiden. Katniss threw the self destruct down.

I sobbed and grabbed onto Finnick. We had lost Castor and Homes as well. "Finnick..." I whispered softly.

Gosh it's been awhile since I last wrote. Yes I didn't make Finnick die I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
