amora's pov
May the odds forever be in your favor

I sighed, as I laid In bed. The next morning was the games. I was nervous and scared. I didn't wanna die, I wanted to have a life. Not die at 13.

I soon fell asleep and the night went by to fasts, cause the next morning I was woken up by Aiden "Hurry and eat breakfast, they'll need to take you soon..." he whispered. I got up and grabbed the provided outfit. Which was a light green t-shirt, trousers and a thin black jacket, tight sucks and boots. I went downstairs, where Gabe was already at, dressed and ready.

He smiled at me, I could tell he was nervous as well, I smiled back and sat across from him. We ate, it was a big meal, in hopes it would be awhile until we had to eat again. "Gabe, don't kill the girl from 10, she might be a ally," I said looking at him. "Her name is Petra Sallison,"

He nodded "Same for the boy from district five, he goes my Luces," I nodded I'm agreeing not to kill Luces.

Frankie took Gabriel too his launching room and Collier took me to mine. He smiled at be "Amora you got this, you and Gabriel have enough allies to where it might be you two left, don't let him win, as he won't let you, fight no matter what," he kissed my forehead and I nodded as I stepped onto the platform and gave him a nod.

"Goodbye," I said, as the podium started to go up.

"Goodbye..." he said to me as I lost sight of him. The podium stopped moving and everyone was on there podiums, looking around I sighed. There was a lot of rocks, and woods.

"Trees, good for climbing," I said to myself.

I watched the countdown.

66th hunger games!

Everyone jumped of there podium, some running to the cornucopia and some running away into the woods.

I ran towards Gabriel, Luces and Petra, we all four ran to the cornucopia together, grabbing a book bag, each. Petra grabbed a bow and arrows, I grabbed some throwing knives, Gabriel with a spear and Luces with a axe.

District 7's girl lunged at me with a knife, but I had gotten her first with one of mine and she dropped down. Then Gabriel hit someone. District 11's male. And we started making our way to the woods.

"Petra duck!" I yelled, she ducked and I threw a knife at district 9's female. I had 2 kills already, I felt horrible. Then I got district 6's female, as she was tackling Gabriel. I went to help Gabe up and he jumped up and we started rushing again.

I saw District 12's male coming towards all four of us with his female, I threw both my knives at them, taking out both of them. "Good shot!" Gabe yelled to me and I nodded, throwing one at the District 8 female. 6 kills for me and Gabe's 1 kill and who knows who else is dead. We soon got to the woods and kept running together until we found a spot to take a break.

They where playing who was dead. All the people I killed, Gabe's kill and Luces's other tributes, the district 11 female, that was 9 dead in the first 10 minutes.

I saw Luces's face go blank when the district 5 girl popped up "No..." he mumbled to himself "No!" I put my hand on his shoulder and he sobbed.

"S-she was so kind and caring!" He said softly "Shes was only 14... barely had a life, she was so terrified about today, I should of stayed with her!" We all stayed silent, not sure on what to say to him.

After a few minutes, I finally spoke up "We need to find a safe place to sleep tonight, I can keep lookout, there gonna go after you Gabe, you had second highest score," I said and they all nodded "That big tree above us works,"

I grabbed a rope from my bag and started climbing up the tree, it had room for all of us, inside the middle of the tree was a flat, plateau shape "Where good come on up,"

Luces started climbing first and I pulled him up "Help them so I can set up?" I asked politely and he nodded. I took my rope and tied it on a higher branch and to my waist, I set down my bag and grabbed one of the small plastic type blankets and laid it down and everyone took a seat, I set a flashlight down so I could have light later. "I can keep a lookout tonight, I'll use this rope to move up and down to tackle someone or something," I shoved some knives into my belt, that came with the knives and put the flashlight in there as well.

As night arrived, Luces fell asleep first and then Petra. I heard someone running "Deven!" The female voice yelled, Deven was district 1's male, the one who mocked me. I knew immediately it was a career tribute. I shined my flashlight on her and she turned to me. Before she could do anything I threw my knife at her. She dropped dead and the canon went off. It was the district 1 tribute.

The people who died showed up again, this time there was less, the girl I just killed, district 4 male and district 9 male. That is exactly half the tributes gone in one day. After a few hours we switched lookouts it was Gabe's turn, I got some rest and was woken up the next morning my screaming.

"Amora run quick, these squirrels are carnivorous!" Petra yelled "They bit bit Luces and killed 8!" I grabbed my stud and ahold of Gabe's hand and ran with the other three. The squirrels where golden and fluffy, attacking In packs, I saw another career tribute, she was going towards us and the squirrels, she stopped seeing the squirrels and threw my knife at her making a canon go off. We soon lost the squirrels but needed to tend to Luces'e bite. He pulled his sleeve up, the bite was deep and bleeding.

I dug threw my bag and started my cleaning the bite and then I wrapped it up. Petra was up walking around. I heard her grab a arrow and shoot someone. A canon went off. Turns out it was district 7's male tribute.

Okay done with the fifth chapter! I had a lot of fun, and I'm trying my best to keep track of who I killed, but I think I got it! Anyways thanks for reading hope you enjoyed! I fell in love with Petra, but she will have to die sorry!
