PART 29

NO PROOF READING!

"Shehnaaz, wake up" sidharth patted her cheek softly sitting beside her on the bed. It was 7 at night. He came in the room with the dinner. Seeing her sleeping so peacefully he didn't feel like waking her up but she have not had her lunch too. Ofcourse he was the reason. He didn't want her to sleep empty stomach.

"Shehnaaz" his voice was soft. Rubbing her eyes she looked at him. Looking around she realised they were still in that room. She didn't realise when she slept. Getting up she rested against backrest.

"Go and freshen up. Dinner krna hai" he didn't look at her. Shehnaaz slowly got up and left to the washroom. Sidharth set there waiting for her.

Sitting on the bed shehnaaz quietly took the plate. The sarai they were living in, they didn't have the proper arrangements for the food. Hardly travellers used to stay there so they had no arrangements to make food for so many people. Sidharth could only get one plate of food. He had no issues.

"Ye lo" shehnaaz had mixed the rice in daal. His wounded hand didn't leave her mind. She knew that there must be food scarcity as a number of people were living in the sarai. Sharing food was always the best quality of hers. She didn't want him to stay hungry because of her. He was the one who got that food and he had the first right.

"Mujhe bhukh nhi hai, tum khalo" sidharth said without looking at her. Her purity would melt him again. Shehnaaz shook her head. He won't listen! Why he always had to be like this?

"Hmm" shehnaaz put the spoon infront of his mouth. Sidharth looked at her amused. Shehnaaz gestured him to open his mouth. He looked into her eyes. The same innocence in those eyes made him open his mouth even before him knowing himself. Shehnaaz put the rice full spoon in his mouth.

Sidharth was lost into her innocence to realise that shehnaaz made him eat almost all the food. She forgot to eat herself. Feeding him she didn't feel herself hungry.

"Hogya" making him eat the last spoon shehnaaz smiled. She felt a pure happiness inside as she made him eat the food. That feeling of happiness, that feeling of contentment made her stomach full.

Listening her sidharth realised how lost he was. The empty plate in her hands made him realise that he had eaten all the food. Fisting his hand he greeted his teeth. How could he act so stupid? He ate her food? Seriously! He couldn't believe himself.

"Tumne sara khana mujhe khila diya?" sidharth pulled her arm tightly. His voice was strongly harsh. He was angry on her for her. The food was for her! Why she didn't she eat herself? Why the hell he ate? What was he thinking? She didn't have food since morning. She needed it!

His harsh voice scared her. His anger was visible that made her fear. She didn't know why he was so angry? He ate the food and that couldn't make him angry or it could? But why?

"Shehnaaz khana tumhare liye tha. Khud kyun ni khaya" his harsh voice made her flinch. His harsh hold on her arm got her eyes moist. She could never understand him thought shehnaaz.

"Mai bhul gyi thi khud khana" mumbled shehnaaz softly. His grip on her arm loosened.  Sidharth was amused or may be shocked. She forgot to eat while feeding him? Was she for real? How could someone forget to eat when the person had not eaten anything and the plate of food was there? She made him eat the food when she herself was hungry. She couldn't be real.

A tear fell on the back of his hand making him look at her. Closing her eyes she was shedding tears silently. He sighed! She couldn't take loud voice.

"Shehnaaz stop crying now. Tum har baat par roti kyun ho?" sidharth was soft this time. He wiped her tears softly. Her tears melt his anger instantly. Shehnaaz looked at him. He was concerned now and a moment ago he himself shouted on her.

Getting up sidharth walked towards the door.

"Kahan ja rhe ho?" asked shehnaaz politely. She didn't want to stay there alone.

"Tumhare liye kuchh khaane ko dekh k aata hoon" said sidharth opening the door.

"Mujhe bhukh nhi hai" shehnaaz got up from the bed. Sidharth looked at her. A stern look and she was silent!

"Mai bhi chalun sath please. Subah se issi room mai hoon" said shehnaaz standing near the bed only. How innocently she asked? How she was so soft? Sidharth observed her. Her eyes had hope and he could see that.

"Come" sidharth opened the door. A smile came on her face and she almost ran towards the door. She really wanted to go out of that room. She looked a little kid as she ran towards the door. He actually saw a kid in her.

Her smile! It was beautiful. A wave of contentment rushed inside him seeing her smile. It was sukoon.

Sudden cold breeze hit them as they came out of the sarai. Her petite figure shivered with the coldness. Shivering she wrapped her arms around herself.

Sidharth looked at her shivering body. Her teeth were clenching together. Removing his jacket sidharth held her arm. He could feel how much she was shivering. Holding her one hand he made her wear one sleeve of his jacket and then the other. She stood their shivering. Making her wear the jacket sidharth closed the zip properly covering her completely.

His jacket gave her needed warmth! His concern ! His Care! She felt sukoon. An unknown feeling was erupting inside her which was making her feel the feeling of belongingness in his every action. His anger always scared her but still she went to him only. His arms made her feel protected always.

"Tumhe thand nhi lagegi?" her voice shivered a little. He was wearing a warm t-shirt inside but the cold was extreme. She didn't want him to suffer so did he! She mattered to him!!

"Chalo" sidharth walked towards the road without replying her. She followed him quietly! They kept walking in silence. Wind was too cold. Shehnaaz's face had turned red but she felt good being in open. Keeping his hands in his pockets sidharth walked observing her. She was too naive thought sidharth as he saw her looking around like a kid.

"Umm....chai" shehnaaz said softly. A tea stole was there at the side of the road. Sidharth looked at her. She wanted to have tea in that extreme cold. She looked at him and he nodded his head.

Walking towards the tea stole they found an old man was sitting there in cold. He was the owner of the stole. She felt bad. His age was not to work there in that cold. He looked quite weak.

"Hello uncle" said shehnaaz with a smile. Her smile brought a warm smile on that old man' s face. He felt good as she greeted him.

"Hello beta" uncle stood up.

"Uncle 3 cup chai milegi?" asked shehnaaz politely. Sidharth looked at her. She herself ordered the tea for both but three cups? He thought!

"Hanji beta abhi bnata hoon. Aap log baithiye" the old man walked towards his stole to prepare tea. Sidharth and shehnaaz set there on a table in silence.

Within few minutes the old man came with a tray having three cups of tea. Shehnaaz took one and passed to sidharth who silently took. She then took the other two cups.

"Uncle" shehnaaz said as the old man was about to walk.

"Yahan baithiye" shehnaaz made space for the old man. The man was confused but set quietly. Sidharth observed her. What she wanted to do?

"Ye lijiye, aap bhi pio humare sath chai. Hume achha lgega" she said softly. The old man looked at her. He couldn't deny. She made him emotional. Someone cared for him. He felt happy. Patting her head he took the cup.

His gaze stuck on her. Her every action was affecting him to the extreme. Her every little thing was growing new emotions in his heart. Those emotions were only for her!

"Uncle biscuit milenge aap k paas?" she couldn't have tea without biscuits. The old man laughed lightly. He got up and brought a packet of biscuits for her. She excitedly took the packet and opening it she offered first to the old man and then to sidharth.

He stared at her. A long keen stare which almost shuddered her. Keeping a biscuit on his hand she turned towards uncle. Sidharth could not stop the slight smile he did for a moment.

Shehnaaz talked to the uncle like a family. She made him feel so important in those few moments that he forgot his years of loneliness. He forgot that he was left alone by his own family. He couldn't stop the tears which fell down his eyes talking to her. She was a God's child with a pure heart thought the old man.

Sidharth was listening their talks silently. She didn't talk about his family. She talked about random things making the old man smile and laugh in between the talks. He never saw her talking too much. She didn't have the habit to talk much but she was talking just to make that old man feel good.

She was too kind!! But kind people always suffer!! That's the rule of this cruel world. Sidharth feard that. He himself was the part of that cruel world. Or may be he himself was the cruel one.

Reaching back to the sarai, sidharth stopped near his car.

"Ye lo key, tum jao andar mai abhi aaya" said sidharth giving her key. She nodded her head and taking the key she walked inside.

Making sure she went inside safety sidharth opened his car door.

Shehnaaz took the stairs and went up. Walking in the corridor she bumped into someone mistakenly.

"I am sorry" said shehnaaz without looking at the person.

"It's okay miss" heard shehnaaz. She looked at the person and realised five boys were standing there. Their branded clothes and shoes and the weird hairstyles screamed money. The dirty smirks on their faces made her uncomfortable.
They had come on a trip in Kashmir. They also got stuck because of the landslide and had to stay in that sarai.

Avoiding them shehnaaz tried to walk away.

"What's your name sweetheart? Have u come alone here?" one of the them came towards her. She walked back. She needed to go from their.

"Get off my way. I need to go" said shehnaaz a little loud. She tried to walk again when another guy came infront of her blocking her way.

"What happened darling? Are u getting scared? Come here" his tone made her feel disgusted. One of them held her arm pulling her towards himself. A sudden fear engulfed her. She was about to shout when that guy put his palm on her mouth. She screamed loudly but his palm suppressed her voice in her mouth only.

" Bhai she seems from a rich family. Kahin gadbad naa ho jaye" said one of them.

"Arre kuchh nhi hoga. tention mat le" replied another one having a dirty smirk on his face.

They surely didn't recognize her. Listening them shehnaaz wriggled more to come out of that man's grip. Tears started rolling down her eyes. She needed to protect herself.

She bit his palm harshly making him loose his grip. Taking the opportunity she ran only to be hold by another one and next she felt a harsh slap on her face.

They need to pay!!
