Set up

The Forever Writers Discord server has many different channels writers can discuss different topics in. These range anything from discussions about writing (such as writing problems and writing ideas) to chats about different animes or other fun topics. These channels are easy to follow and are very organized, making it easy to navigate around the server.

Interview with SparkyShinx about Forever Writers.

JunieWeathers: Hello! I'm so happy to see another person starting their own Discord group for Wattpad writers to create a community. What gave you the idea of starting a Discord group for Wattpad, and why did you decide to go through with it?

SparkyShinx: I decided to start the FW Discord group, because after Writers Circle disbanded, there were not that many active groups where people had a place to share and properly discuss their writing ideas, or problems. So basically, I decided to make the group as a place where people could just go to when they were in need of writing help. I also noticed that in several other writing groups I'm in on Discord, people expect me to be on there 24/7, which I can't really do because of a busy writing schedule or other things. So I want the group to be a place where you can talk comfortably when you want to talk and not be pressured to always have ideas, even when you dont.

Junie: That's really cool. What's your favorite thing about using Discord as a medium to connect with other writers?

Sparky: Hmm, I guess I just really love the fact that I can find a large variety of different online users who enjoy talking about the same things as me. It just makes current problems such as isolation so much easier when you have a bunch of people who are willing to talk to you.

Junie: I can see where that would be a a great thing about it. There are different channels in Discord that you've made to make it easier for everyone to converse. What are a few of the channels you've created, and what are they used for?

Sparky: I have a few channels where people can just converse over anything they want, like different animes, gaming or whatever they want, such as General and Off Topic, and another channel that has activated PokeCord inside of it so people can use that whenever they want, but the majority of the channels are all writing related, such as Writing Problems, Discussions, etc.

Junie: That's really neat! Now, I understand that you're a Pokéfic writer, but could anyone join the server? Or is it specifically geared towards people who want to write/read/enjoy Pokéfic things?

Sparky: This server is for all types of writers or readers! It can be anime related, but any other different genre or fanfiction typing is welcomed.

Junie: That's awesome! What are your hopes and dreams for this Discord Server?

Sparky: I really just want people to enjoy it! I don't mind how many people join, just that they have fun and learn something from others and get some ideas.

Junie: That is really sweet. Is there anything else you'd like people to know about the Forever Writers Discord Group?

Sparky: Just that they're all welcome to join, whether they have no writing experience at all or even don't have any desire to write, but instead would just like to come and meet new people !!
