June a 12-year-old girl is sleeping and her twin brother Drago and her father Orochimaru and her big brother Kabtuo were downstairs waiting for her to come downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Looks like June sleeping in," Drago said.

"Yeah from all those awful nightmares she has been having," Kabuto said.

"Yes, Kabuto can you go wake her up?" Orochimaru asked.

"Sure come on Poliwhirl," Kabuto said heading upstairs.

"Poli poliwhirl," Poliwhirl said heading upstairs as well.

They both walked into June's bedroom quietly.

"Now poliwhirl us water gun to wake her up," Kabuto said with a laugh.

"Poli Poliwhirl," Poliwhirl said using water gun.

The water gun hits June and wakes her up. Kabuto then starts laughing even more at June's reaction.

"*Cough* What *cough* the heck why did you hit me with a water gun!" June said annoyed at Kabuto.

"Well, nothing else was going to work. You should already know that. Your never easy to wake after having your nightmares. Anyway let's get going your brother and you start your journey today and we have breakfast. Kabuto said walking downstairs.

Geez I know I can be a pain to wake up, after having a nightmare which is always about the night my mom died. But he could of at least try without using water gun, June thought.

"Alright, I'm coming," June said walking downstairs with Kabuto.

"Enjoy your food," Orochimaru said.

"Thanks, master Orochimaru," Kabuto said.

"Yeah thanks, father," Drago said.

June was staring at a picture of her mom on the wall until she finally started eating her food.

I miss you so much, mom. But I promise I will become the world's greatest pokemon champion, June thought.

"Yeah thanks for the food," June said once she stopped looking at the picture.

She more space out then she usually is the next day after having that recurring nightmare. But I guess that shouldn't be surprising normally she falls back to sleep after having a nightmare and doesn't have a nightmare again. But for some reason she kept having one each time she fell back asleep, Drago thought.

"So Kabuto aren't you going on your journey also. So why aren't you traveling with us?" June asked.

"Yeah, I'm going on a journey to enter the pokemon league and the grand festival. I'm sure you and Drago can handle yourself plus your father needs me to do something for him," Kabuto said.

Unlike me, Kabuto wants to be a top coordinator and the world's greatest pokemon master.  I just want to be top coordinator like I and June mom, Drago thought.

I know Kabuto is one of my best workers here. But surprise he continues doing the Kanto league and grand festival here instead of going to a different region.  Especially since he got pretty far in both of them already.  But need him here to help me find this darkness power.  Yet this is the last time then we search in a different region for this dark power that will cause harm in the future.  I must stop it like mew asked me to in my dream, Orochimaru thought.

"Does this have something to do with the message you got recently from the pokemon called  mew?" June asked snaping Orochimaru out of his thoughts.

"Yeah, something about a dark power that will cause harm in the future. Mew didn't completely explain what it was or what the source of it is but comes back every now and then with a message for me," Orochimaru explained.

June nodded.

Father being a Pokemon guardian he sometimes gets messages from legendary pokemon unlike pokemon rangers who just get reports about danger coming by listening to the news, June thought.

This is all interesting but we should focus on me going to beat Kabuto in the grand festival, Drago thought.

"Can we talk about the fact that I will beat Kabuto in the grand festival," Drago said.

Everyone laughed at Drago random comment.

"Hey what so funny?" Drago asked.

"I accept your challenge even if that was a random comment," Kabuto said with a smile.

"I thought you were also going do gym battles," June said.

"I like contest more but gym battles also seem cool. I might challenge one gym and see if I like them. If not then I'm going to stick with during contest," Drago said.

Nope, I won't try a gym battle, because I already know I won't like it. Only said that because June wants to battle me and see which one of us is the better trainer. She will figure out I didn't mean it by the time we get to a gym, Drago thought.

"Whatever you choose son just have fun, "Orochimaru said.

"Of course," Drago said.

They all finished breakfast and got dressed and packed their stuff. Kabuto left to start his journey. Then Drago and June headed to the pokemon center to get their starter pokemon. Since Dark City was a small place they got there pokemon from the pokemon center instead of a pokemon lab.

"Well let's go inside brother and get our pokemon," June said.

"Right lets on inside, " Drago said walking inside the Pokemon center with June.

Drago and June both see nurse Joy.

"Nurse Joy we are here for our first Pokemon, " June said.

"Alright June first off it is very great to see you and your brother again and there two Pokemon left for you both, " Nurse Joy said showing one of the pokeballs.

Our father very well know around here and lots of people look up to him for all the pokemon and even people he saved. So I and Drago are well known here in dark city. But some people that don't know are father think he evil because of his personality but he really kind once he comes out of his shell, June thought to herself.

"Let us see the Pokemon then, " June said once she wasn't lost in her thoughts anymore.

Well someone must have recovered from having that nightmare las night or she just excited to see the Pokemon, Drago thought.

"Sure, " Nurse Joy said showing the Pokeball.

"The Pokemon I'm about to release is June starter. Yours will be next Drago, " Nurse Joy said releasing the Pokemon.

The Pokemon turned out to be a female meowth.

"Meow Meowth, " Meowth said.

"Its name is Meowth it's a normal type Pokemon, " Nurse Joy said.

"Awesome it so cute, " June said.

"But I should warn you that this Meowth doesn't like to be in her Pokeball she always popping out or avoids going in, " Nurse Joy said.

"I see then I just let her stay out, " June said.

So she hates her Pokeball just like dad Seviper, Drago thought.

"Yes and take this your Pokedex, " Nurse Joy said handing June her Pokedex.

"Awesome, " June said opening her Pokedex.

"Yeah, it records data on Pokemon you see and
catch, " Nurse Joy explained.

"Wow, science is so cool, " June said.

And take these pokeballs, " June said handing June her pokeballs.

"Awesome, " June said.

I hear you're entering the Pokemon league while Drago here is entering the grand festival, " Nurse Joy said.

"Yeah, " June said.

"Well, I wish you both lots of luck. Now time for Drago Pokemon," Nurse Joy said.

"I will wait for you outside brother, " June said.

"Okay I will be out once I get my Pokemon and items, " Drago said.

June goes outside and puts her headphones on while she waits for her brother.

I love this song so much. I remember how mom used to sing it to me whenever I couldn't sleep. It called moonlight, June thought.

After a few minutes, her twin brother Drago walks out of the Pokemon center.

"What did you get?" June asked.

"I got something super amazing, " Drago said taking out a Pokeball and releases a Pokemon.

It's a Dratini.

"Wow cool a dratini, " June said pulling out her Pokedex.

"Dratini, the dragon Pokemon and dragon type. Long considered a mythical POKéMON until recently when a small colony was found living underwater." Pokedex buzzed.

So Drago got himself a rare pokemon as his starter, June thought.

"Amazing, " June said with a large smile on her face.

June and Drago the began walking to the first location.

"So where are we heading?" June asked curious about their location.

"Well, Nurse Joy told me that best gym to go to first is in pewter city," Drago said.

"Then we're going to pewter city!" June exclaimed.

"They also have a Pokemon contest there, " Drago said.

"Alright then let's get going, " June said.

Drago laughed at his sister's behavior.

She definitely recovered from her nightmares last night, Drago thought.

They walked away to pewter city.

Author's POV

So June and her twin brother both get there starter pokemon. And now are on there way to Pewter City. What adventure awaits them.
