I decided that with this story that I am going to look up some facts about the Miyamoto's mustachioed children. And also provide some other fun facts about myself.

Mario Fact #1: Originally Mario and Luigi had different color schemes, Mario had the most change, in the original Mario bros his hat was blue and the colors of his shirt and overalls where a slightly lighter red and blue while Luigi's outfit was a brown shirt with a green cap and overalls and both of them did not have their iconic letters above the bills of their caps.

LN fact #1: I do not like May 4th, mainly because of the overused joke of "May the 4th be with you" and the day after they are saying "revenge of the 5th," I have been hearing it since I was born, it needs to be put to rest.

(Andrew pov)

I stirred from my sleep and I opened my eyes and saw white. Was this it, was this heaven, have I......died? I blink a few times allowing my eyes to adjust, when I looked to my left and right, I was in a fancy room, which had a, may I say, a plentiful amount of pink along the floor and seats. If this was heaven, I think the way that people envisioned it was wrong. I lean onto my hands behind me, which I noticed they were feeling something soft. I was on a bed, a comfy one at that (that could just be my thought of every bed since I have not slept on one in months), and a red blanket with a star in the middle, I also noticed that my gloves were missing, and I could feel the blanket with my toes so I could assume that my socks and boots were gone as well. I heard creaking coming from my left and I whipped my head around to see a short mushroom person which looked like a fortune teller due to their clothing.

???: "Has the young man awoken, yes he has."

His way of speech is..........interesting to say the least.

???: "Is Dr Toadley, wondering how the young man is feeling, yes he is."

Dr Toadley, huh? An odd name, but I am not from around here so I would not know if that is a common name or not.

"Oh, uh, right, I feel a bit sore, mainly around my head and feet, but other than that fine."

Dr Toadley takes out a report and writes something down, and then looks back towards me.

Dr Toadley: "Does Dr Toadley know the young man's name, no he does not."

I slap my face, how could I be so rude.

"Sorry, I'm Andrew, Andrew Maxie, sorry for not introducing myself earlier."

Dr Toadley looked at me and nodded in understanding.

Dr Toadley: "Is there someone waiting to see Andrew, yes there is."

He soon walked out, leaving the door open for another mushroom person walked in, alongside two other people that looked to be human, good at least someone that looks at least a little bit mushroomy lives here.

???: "Good to see you are up and about young man, I am Toadsworth, and these two are Master Mario and Master Luigi."

I am sensing a theme with these mushroom people's names, they both had the word 'Toad' in them.

Mario: "Good to see that you are alright, sorry about the whole wall incident, when we pulled you out of the ground, we had accidentally flung you towards the wall, a bit to much-a power put into our pull eh?"

I could tell Mario, well who I guess is Mario due to the M on his hat, had a Brooklyn-Italian accent to him, which I had a slight bit of but had a bit more of an American-country mixed with mine. Toadsworth soon walked towards the door, looking back towards Mario.

Toadsworth: "I'll be heading back out to the main hall, if you are able to walk, do follow these two there, the princess will be relieved to see you are up and about." Then he left, leaving the three of us alone in the room.

"Sooooooo, introductions I guess?" I felt sort of awkward, and I felt like I needed to break the ice a bit.

Mario: "Right, I'm-a Mario, and this green-bean of a brother is Luigi."

Luigi: "Hello." Luigi gave a little wave to me.

"I'm Andrew, Andrew Maxie. So, where are we exactly? I am not familiar with any of this scenery or any of the, uh, people." I rubbed the back of my head, and gave a nervous chuckle.

Luigi: "Well, you are currently in one of the guest rooms in Peach's Castle, in the Mushroom Kingdom and the natives of this land are called Toads, who almost all go by Toad, but there are a few that go by unique names, and before you ask, they are named after toadstools not the amphibious kind, it confused us for a while before we got the gist."

Well that answers one of my questions, but it seems like I am a long way from home, not that there was much to call home anyway, but still my point stands firm.

"So, by the looks of things, you guys have been here for a while, but your accents tell me something else, are you two from Brooklyn by chance."

They both looked surprised at my question, then Mario answered.

Mario: "Yeah, we are, but it has been years since we left Brooklyn behind. Sadly we have not found a way back, not that we would want to, but if you are asking that, you're from-"

"Brooklyn, yeah it was kind of obvious with how you speak, it was familiar."

Luigi crossed his arms, and a look of understanding came across his face.

Luigi: "So if you came out of that warp pipe, then your friend that was with you should be from Brooklyn as well, right?"

I looked at him "Friend? We did not have any friends with us it was only me and my bro-" my mind screeched to a halt. I threw off the covers and raced out of the room, leaving a confused duo behind me.

Mario: "Hey, where are you going, wait up."

Mario bolted after me, hot on my tail.

Luigi: "Hey, wait for me, don't-a leave me behind!"

We raced down the hall, with me on a mission to find Matt as quickly as possible. I went through corridors, halls, what looked to be a conference room, everywhere to find my brother with the Bros still on my tail. I race into what seemed to be a huge room, when I was not looking where I was going and crashed into a familiar face who had also been running. We both hit heads and fell backwards onto our backs, holding our heads in recoil of the pain. I looked up to see who I ran into, at the same time as him, and it did not take long before we got up and hugged each other.

"MATT!!" "ANDREW!!" we just held each other in joy of finally being reunited.

Matt: "I thought we died, I thought we had lost our lives."

I shook my head "You can't take us out that easily, it would take a whole lot more than a drain pipe to separate us in the afterlife," we back away from each other to the point where we each had our hands on the others shoulders "it is a relief to see you are still kicking."

Mario and Luigi ran in, panting as they came to a halt, and a pair of toads came running in from the opposite side of the room.

Luigi: "*pant* you really wanted to see your brother *pant* fast, didn't you Andrew."

???: "Jeez, Matt, Dr Toadley says one thing and you are off like a bullet-bill."

Matt and I looked at them and shrank down with embarrassment, from what they said.

"Well, call it a sibling bond I guess, heh heh." I could feel myself flushing with embarrassment.

Toadsworth: "Glad you two young men could make it. And by the looks of it we did not even need to have you be guided here." We looked over to Toadsworth and immediately shot to a more front facing position.

We were met with sight of a young woman with bright blonde hair, with a small crown sitting atop her head, a pink dress adorned her body and she wore white silk gloves.

???: "It is nice to see you two are awake, and from what I have seen are very energetic, so I can assume that you two are well. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, I am Princess Toadstool, but please call me Peach."

"Right, I'm-"

Peach: "Andrew, and the other is Matt."

I was baffled, how did she do that?

Peach: "It is kind of obvious when you shout each other's names."

"Well, you're not wrong there." I rub the back of my head in embarrassment.

Peach: "I can see that you and your brother are unfamiliar with our land, so do feel free to wander around the castle and Toad town while gathering your bearings. If you do need any help ask Toadette she can guide you."

The female Toad waved, Toadette I could only assume, whilst the other female toad, who looked to be a maid, left heading back the way she came.

Matt and I nodded gratefully, getting the lay of the land would be a useful thing to do.

Soon the maid toad returned dragging two baskets, which had our boots, gloves, socks and a few other items, such as a weird green mushroom, a map, and bag with a little gold coin with a 1 on it.

Just then the ground shook, making everyone nearly lose their balance, and some did. Then a toad guard ran in panicing.

Toad Guard: "Air ships are attacking Toad town, and there are Koopas and Goombas attacking as well. We need help, and fast!" He looked towards Mario and Luigi "Well that makes things a bit easier, come on you two, hurry!"

Mario and Luigi race out of the castle, meanwhile I am scrambling to get my boots and gloves on.

I finally get my stuff on and start to head towards were the bros went.

Matt: "Andrew, what do you think you are doing!?"

I stop and look back "I'm not just going to sit around while people are in danger, I'm going to help."

Before Matt got another chance to speak, the windows were smashed in by what looked to be turtle shells with wings, which then had these turtle-like-things uncurl from within the shells. Toad guards surrounded the princess spears pointed at the three winged turtles.

Matt: "What the heck are those things?"

"I don't know, but I am not going to wait and see what happens."

The turtles dive-bombed the guards, knocking them out one by one, till only the princess was left. They slowly crept in closer backing the princess against the wall, and that was the last straw. I grabbed the middle one's feet and slammed him down on the floor, somehow removing his wings in the process, taking the other two's attention away from Peach and onto me.

"Sorry to rain on your parade, but I don't think she wants to go anywhere with you and your ugly mugs."

The one on the ground tucked back into his shell and launched at me, which I promptly sidestepped out of the way of. One of the still winged turtles launched at me, which I also dodged.

The turtle growled and looked at me with anger in his eyes.
Turtle: "You have made a big mistake by messing with us koopas, kid!"

Koopas eh, so that is what they are, I saw him prepare to try and rush me again when he all of a sudden was hit over the head with a broken spear that one of the guards had dropped, making him tuck into his shell.

Matt: "And you have made the mistake of messing with my little brother."

I laughed "You showed him." Just then the koopa from before ran at us, making Matt dodge out of the way. I on the other hand, put my hands together and slammed them down on his head, making him tuck into his shell as well.

Matt and I looked down at the two shells, and then kicked them out the door and away from us. All of a sudden we heard the princess yelling, and we turned around to see the third koopa from before and another koopa, this time with a red shell instead of green, carrying off Peach, who had been tied up, straight out the front door. We wasted no time and raced after them, straight out the door and into the outside.

Outside we could see flying ships with giant propellers firing down on the helpless town below, koopas and the brown mushroom things with fang, which we could assume were Goombas, attacking toads left and right in the town, and the Koopas from before carrying the princess to what looked to be the leading ship of the fleet.

Matt and I raced into town, punching and kicking Goombas and Koopas as we ran into the fray. We soon saw Mario and Luigi in the middle of town, kicking away Koopa shells in different directions.

Matt: "HEY GUYS!!!"

The bros looked our direction as we ran up.

Mario: "What's wrong? What-a happened?"

"It's the princess, two winged koopas tied her up and flew off with her while we were fighting two others. They flew towards the main Airship."

Then there was a evil sounding laugh that echoed all around us, it was coming from the ship!

???: "BWAHAHAHA, you are too late to stop me this time Mario, and there is nothing you can do to get the princess back this time!"

Mario: "You have said this how many times now, we have been doing this for years and out of all of your previous attempts not one of them actually worked, me and Luigi have always rescued her from you grasp, what makes you think you can beat us this time, Bowser?"

I saw a giant koopa with a spiky shell, horns and fiery red hair, look down on us from the air ship.

Bowser: "Because, you are not going to be able to reach my castle this time, and you will be helpless to try and get there, goodbye Mario Bros. May I never see you again, BWAHAHAHA!"

And after as we watched them leave, we could see Peach throw a paper out of a window. We watched as the paper sailed down and land at Mario's feet. He reached down and opened the paper and gave a look of confusion.

We looked over his shoulders to see a drawing of what looked to be Bowser's face with several different backgrounds split into 10 different sections. They all looked like they were drawn with crayons and were slightly rushed, but were still able to make a clear picture of different environments. The first looked to be bubbling lava, second, a snowy mountain, third, a misty forest, fourth, a desert, fifth, a jungle, sixth, an island with a tall mountain, seventh, what looked to be a neon theme park, eighth, a tall tower with a strange figure that had a tiny tree on its head, ninth, an island with a blocky figure and the last was a night sky. The last one made me scratch my head, why did she draw the night sky.

(A/n I will be very happy for the people who comment where those places are without looking further in the chapter for the first or doing research, those who do are true paisanos.)

Mario: "This makes no sense, why would the princess a-draw this, it does not help us find where she is.

Matt: "Maybe she was drawing locations she heard that they might be at."

I suddenly remembered something and pulled out the map that I had received earlier. I scanned over the maps locations and saw a few that matched some of the drawings, but more importantly the lava drawing.

"Hey, guys I found a place that looks similar to the drawing that has lava, I can only guess that is going to be our first stop." I showed them the map pointing towards a place that looks to have lava.

Luigi: "Lava Land, Bowser's castle is there, looks like this is going to be straightforward." He smiled and crossed his arm.

Mario: "Okie-dokie, but before we go, we need to get you two something to cover your heads and arms a bit more.

Matt and I were puzzled, why would we need more clothes?

"Why do we need that, it is going to be hot there, why would we more clothes?"

Luigi: "Lava is not the only thing you have to worry about there, there are enemies that are made of lava that are called Lava Bubbles, and they will burn you, better the clothes than the skin right and also hats just kinda complete the outfit."

Well I could not argue with them, they made a good point.

An hour later we were in a clothes store, and this place had everything we needed, even after the whole town was attacked. I walked out of the store now sporting both a new blue hat with my first initial on the emblem which was in, long sleeve-shirt, and a jacket, which from what I have been told had been lying around in the back room untouched because it would not sell due to it being to big for toads and to small for any other customers that came in, and all in blue with different shades to separate the articles of clothing. Matt was sporting a different colored cap that looked very similar to Mario except it was orange with a black rim on the bill of the cap, and a grey jacket with an orange hood. Mario and Luigi looked at us in approval, and we all walked to the edge of town.

Mario: "Ready guys."

We nodded "Ready when you are." Mario smirked.

Mario: "Ok" he ran ahead and shouted the words that officially started this journey to save Princess Peach.

"LET'S-A GO!!"

And that officially starts the marking of a new adventure for our heroes. Will they succeed, well duh, they're Mario and Co., when will Bowser learn that he can't beat them. Anywho, that closes off this chapter of our story, and yeah I am going to make my own picture for the characters, because I saw that no one wanted to participate in my little art competition, and I don't want to make myself look like a fool again for doing that, so I am picking up my pencil and coloring shtuff and taking a crack at it. Anyway I will see you all later, KEEP ON A WORKIN'!!!
