reggie always found himself falling for cute girls, but this time was different.

he'd been watching dirty candy perform during a talent show at julie's school when he noticed the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. you were one of carrie's back-up dancers, you'd never wanted the spotlight to be on you — you were more than happy to dance along to carrie's songs.

luke and alex noticed how often reggie's eyes would light up whenever he saw you, but then his face would fall when you walked past him since you couldn't see him.

reggie was leaning against one of the lockers at the school one day, pouting. julie followed his gaze to where he was looking, feeling sorry for him.

"i wish i could tell her how amazing she is, she doesn't notice just how much talent she has." reggie sighed.

luke and alex finally came up with an idea when they were sat in julie's garage that night, they shoved a piece of paper and a pen in front of reggie who was staring into space imagining what it would be like to talk to you, or hold your hand.

"write her a letter!" alex suggested.

reggie suddenly looked up, inspired.

"i'm going to write her a letter!" reggie said, grabbing the pen and paper and scribbling down all of the things he wanted to say to you.

alex rolled his eyes as luke laughed, they both watched as their best friend pretty much wrote a whole essay for a girl he'd never spoken to.

once he'd finished he asked julie if she'd leave the letter in your locker.

"anything for you, reggie. i'm sure y/n will love it." julie smiled.

the next morning reggie waited anxiously besides your locker, you finally showed up and found the letter in your locker.

reggie watched as you read it, a smile growing on your face. hugging the letter close to your chest, you tucked it into your bag carefully and headed to your next class where you pulled out a piece of paper and started writing a letter back to reggie.

since that moment you and reggie exchanged letters, and you looked forward to finally seeing reggie whenever he performed with julie. it soon became one of reggie's favourite parts of performing, finally getting to see each other, even for just a few moments.
