Oh no!

Gathering the pieces of my shatterd pride, I walk with shaking limbs, pack the papers from the table, all the while, greatly avoiding his gaze, then I run outside. Making sure not to drop my lunch.

I go to back of the chemistry laboratory and sit down on a stone there. I decide to re-read the letters, maybe they aren't that bad. But once I start reading it, I regret ever writing it in the first place.

Now he's going to think I like him, hell I do. But still... I take a huge bite of my doughnut and chew on it violently... how am I going to face him again?... I gulp down my coke, eating when depressed helps a great deal.

After about an hour, I decide to get some learning in class. After all, that's what I'm in school for. I walk to my seat, with my head hanging low and sit down not daring to look at him. He clears his throat and I bury my face in my bag.

I don't think they're dating. It seems they're married. Like it's been long since I've been to his profile on Instagram, not really long though but if I didn't know that the account was his, I'd think it's hers. All her pictures are posted on his wall. Ugh!

I exit Instagram and bang my head on my bed, why? Why? My phone buzz and I check it, it's a message from Michael. I smile, it's been long since I've talked to him.

Michael: Call me Bae.

I roll my eyes and dial his number, he picks up almost immediately. "What's up?"

"My love, how are you?"

"I don't know. What about you?"

He chuckles and I can almost see him shaking his head. Oh I miss him.

"Well I'm good. You know that girl that I told you about?" I mumbled 'hmm' and he continues, "She told Enoima that she likes me then Enoima told Ehis and Ehis told me. I haven't asked her out yet but I'm happy that she likes me so it will be easier for me. Good isn't it?"

"Good." actually I'm not in the mood for gists but it's the least I can do since I dump my own problems on him too. I'm actually happy for him though but I just hope that the girl is beautiful.

"Yeah Jules. I'm so happy. Ehis and I are going to slot tomorrow. He wants to get a new phone, iPhone 6 plus so I asked to follow him so he won't buy fake." I chuckle at the word 'fake'. In this part of Nigeria, if you don't know about phones, don't bother going to buy phone yourself because they will give you fake phone.

Ehis is his best friend and Enoima is his twin sister. I've only spoken to them once and Ehis sure have nice voice and I wish we could meet because I've only seen his pictures and he's cute. I only chat with Enoima sometimes on whatsapp, she texts me first though because I don't know how to talk to girls.

Like what do we want to be talking about?

Like I've heard from Enoima, Ehis is this really cool guy who is presently single and he's a B3 grade student. He's tall, fair and funny. He plays football and draws blah blah blah... I think she seriously ships us though.

"Yeah."

"So how's Joseph and Desmond?"

Shit he shouldn't have asked, now I won't be able to shut up. "Ahh.. Why did you ask now? One day after my test, I was sent to the field to read and Desmond came and started begging him to talk to him and all. He apologized for the kiss and said he didn't regret it that he wouldn't kiss me again unless I ask for it. I asked him to kiss me and he... "

I take a deep breath and Michael urge me to go on that he understands what I mean." Joseph saw us and he flipped out. He called me trash and said he hates me "

" He what? That son of a gun. Joseph has really changed. "

" Yes he has. I wanted to go after him but Desmond stopped me and I told him I hated him too. Long story short, I apologized and Joseph is dating one junior. That's all. "

" Junior? That's very fast. I think he's dating her to make you jealous though because he really likes you. I'm going to call him after this call. "

" No I don't think he's dating her to make me jealous. But please when you call him, don't make it seen as if I told you anything. "

" Okay, but do you still like him? "

I sigh," To be sincere buddy, I don't. I don't like him anymore, I get angry whenever I see him. The only person I like now and is Desmond. I don't know how it happened but I do. And he's so mature and different from Joseph. "

"Ooooooooh!!" the sound comes from outside my door and it's from two familiar voices. They open the door and I cover my face.

"Who's that? Who are you talking to?" Shay asks.

"Hey Shay" Michael shouts and I give her the phone.

"So you like Desmond huh?" Lexi nudges me as she flops on the bed. "I'm angry with you though. Are we even your friends? You don't tell us anything anymore."

She pouts and I hug her, "Hey ugly, I'm sorry. I'm just not ready for you guy's teasing."

"Okay now spill Jules. Bye Michael talk to you later" Shay says.

"Hey bitch, give me the phone !"Lexi snatches the phone from her and starts talking to Michael.

We all miss him.
