📣🔔 Arata Nitta & OC: Romance, Fluff, Medic/Healer.
Love this character and his style 😍 Definitely a character that deserved more screen time.
I love how supportive he was in the Shibuya incident. So I want to write a ff for him.
There wasn't much to go by but I tried my best lol.
I also did like a time skip and made him older in this fan fiction.

Arata Nitta was the healer for all Jujutsu Sorcerers in the Kyoto branch just like Shoko was the Healer or Medic for the Tokyo sorcerers. He was a formidable healer and was just as good if not a tad better than Shoko Ieri.
Arata dedicated his years as a student at Jujutsu to learning to hone his prominent Jujutsu healing techniques. At 27 years old, he was the medic for the Kyoto branch and assisted everyone via helping them with healing. He had a soft sweet personality with a calming lilt. Just speaking to him could improve a person's mood.
Given his soothing disposition and healing aura, Arata counseled and maintained the peace of the school and was an important figure for them. Everyone was friends with him, he had no enemies.
Currently Arata was assisting civilians who were caught in a mutiple car pile up, that a grade 1 curse caused by capsizing a bus in their way. Luckily none were dead but many had dislocated joints and deep cuts and bruises. A lot of them were traumatised and panicked.
He worked in tandem with the emergency medics from a local hospital to heal and calm as many as possible. A handful of Jujutsu sorcerers and students were also dispatched to exorce the curse and follow any trails it could have left.
Arata applied his pain relief technique to a little girl who had a bad scrape to her arm and a cut on her leg.
"These are pretty concerning but you're a strong girl, I can tell. You'll be all healed up in no time." He said smiling to her.
She glanced shyly at him taking in his kind face.
He knelt down to her level and chatted with the girl, distracting her so that he could heal her and dress her cut.
He usually wore silver silk gloves to heal however, he snapped on a pair of disposable latex gloves to clean the blood of the cut.
"So what's your name?" Arata asked with a kind smile.
The little girl sniffed, "Miyo." She answered softly.
"Do you have any hobbies Miyo? Do you play with your friends after school?" He asked in a warm soft voice that immediately calmed her down. Her sobbing stopped.
Miyo nodded, to shy to maintain eye contact. His full lips spread into a smile, one that she returned.
"Well we are going to get you all better soon, so that you can play lots and lots with your friends okay?"
"Mhm." She nodded, hair falling messiliy around her.
They spoke about her school and her favorite sweet foods, while he applied disinfectant and swiped the area clean with cotton wool.
He placed a liquid seal, a type of liquid plaster over her cut and bandaged it for safety so that the area remained clean.
Placing a palm over her shin a silver light radiated out as he shut his eyes.
'That will help heal the cut in half the time. Her body won't be exhausted either when she calms down at home.' He said doing a mental check.
Looking up at her mother he spoke firmly yet politely. "It'll be safe to remove the bandage on her leg at home. It's to make sure the cut doesn't get contaminated. The area is still unsafe not clean you see." He explained.
"You've been so brave. Nice meeting you Miyo. Rest well at home." He said smiling at her one last time as he got up.
Ambulance vehicles were teeming everywhere while more severe cases were rushed to hospitals for better treatment.
Arata looked around, blonde hair swishing with the movement. He cast a cursory glance around his area and found a woman stumbling, trying to get away. Zeroing in on her he jogged after her.
"Excuse me miss!" He called out halting her movements. The woman stilled immediately, dainty shoulders shaking terribly as she struggled to breathe.
Arata frowned and snapped on a new pair of gloves, his gut told him he was going to be needing it with her.
Walking up to her front he found a beautiful young woman with a shard of glass impaled onto her arm. His eyes widened.
Arata wanted to stop and admire her but the Medic in him was all geared up and forbade him from doing so.
"Miss where do you think you're going in such a state?" He asked outraged.
"I have to- have to get there on time." She whispered in a barely audible voice.
Arata mentally ran through all her symptoms that he spotted. She had lost a lot of blood and on instinct his hands reached out to apply his Jujutsu technique to stop her bleeding. He'd tend to her wounds in a few seconds.
Trying to get her to talk and come out of the shock he tentatively asked her, "Do you know how this happened? Anything? It may help with healing it." He said in a warm voice.
She glanced at him with regard as if she saw him for the first time. "It was my stop. I was about to get off when the train shook and tilted. I flew out and next thing I'm here..." She said looking around wildly.
Arata chewed his bottom lip in thought.
'Hallucinations... she probably got caught in the shrapnel of the glass as she got off the car. I also detect whiplash, that's easy to sort out though.'
"Are you always this royal?"
"Ma'am?" He blinked jerking back to his present. He pulled out his medical paraphernalia, wanting to sort her out immediately.
"You're so pretty." She giggled.
Arata's cheeks burned red, he avoided her eye contact and looked down.
"I am going to remove this now on a count of three." He said looking assertively at her.
"It's comfortable. Let it be." She said smiling dopily.
'Hallucinations. Drop in blood pressure.' He noted to himself mentally again.
Lifting to fingers, he tapped her head, calming her down. It was better than any anesthesia. It made his work in situations like this easier. He pulled it out, applying pressure to the area.
Now that he knew she would feel no pain he assessed her hand he exhaled a sigh of relief seeing that he could pull it out in one swift motion.
"I am an O+ in blood." She said conversationally nodding her head.
"All these people are wasting blood, such an odd way to donate blood I say." She continued, not lucid anymore. She looked around with a smile as if she sat in a park enjoying a summer's afternoon.
Arata took advantage of that and worked quickly with dexterity. He cleaned the area and assessed the deepness of her laceration.
It wasn't very deep given the angle the shard slid through.
Running his palm over her arm he applied her technique to heal the laceration internally. It bought him time to clean her other bruises tht
"Are you a prince?" She asked.
'That would make you a princess then.' He thought to himself.
Arata had no trouble distracting her seeing as she was already chatting away unaware of what he did. Just as he was about to bandage her cut she jerked forward and grabbed her handbag, she made a run for it, apparently realising she was in a hurry.
A business card fell out which he deftly caught between two fingers.
Locking his arm with hers and holding her gently in place he stared into her limpid pools of honey colored eyes.
Arata shook his head, eyes turning serious. "We are not done yet Miss Himari Shirai." He said firmly, learning her name from her business card.
She giggled pressing dainty fingers to her lips. Just as he was done with her, a colleague of his approached.
"What's up with her?" Kamo asked looking at her odd behavior.
"What's up with your two pigtails in the front?" She blurted out at Kamo staring at him with a scrutinizing frown.
Arata looked nervously at Kamo, unsure of how he'd react. He chuckled shaking his head.
"It keeps my hair out of the way. It has its purpose." He said gently.
Himari smiled at him with a childlike spark. Arata felt a sting of jealousy though he couldn't understand why.
"I had to apply Jujutsu technique to numb her." He said politely.
"Ahh that explains her honest open questions." Kamo said chuckling again.
"I came to let you know that everything is under control in this area. We are free to leave once you are done. I don't want you overworking yourself." Kamo said looking concerned at Arata.
The latter bowed and placed his hand over his heart. "Very well. Thank you Kamo-san, I just have to escourt this lady to safety. My technique will wear off in a few hours. Until then she'll be like this." He explained.
Kamo nodded in understanding, "I'll go look for the car she came in. There's no way that person managed to leave. The bus stopped all traffic when it was thrown across the pedestrian crossing."
Turning on his heal he led Himari to the waiting area where all those were tended to and waited so that their families and those who accompanied them would find them easily.
"Is this where our meeting ends my prince?" She asked locking her eyes with his blinking at him sadly.
"I am afraid so princess." He replied, chancing the nickname. He figured she called him prince because of how he dressed.
Straight cut black dress pants, crisp white shirt fastened with cufflinks, waistcoat buttoned fully and a tailcoat to complete the look. It didn't help that he had perfectly straight shoulder length hair that he tucked behind one ear. The vision of poise and manly grace.
He bowed low and smiled at her, sad to leave the beautiful woman alone. "Perhaps fate shall grant us another meeting in a better circumstance. Until then, please take care of yourself."
Turning to leave now that she was safe Arata sprinted off to assist with other cases.

Himari woke up on her sofa in her lounge, the bright sun poking at her closed lids and pulling her out of her sleep. She winced and scrunched her eyes tighter. Her friend had located her and escorted her home. There was no way she'd be able to work today.
She could hear her nieces and nephew in the back. 'That's right they finished early today.' She thought in her mind.
Bolting upright she jumped up. "Oh my God the kids!" She exclaimed in a panic.
A mug of tea was held out to her. "They're fine. I watched them for you." A cool, calming sounded next to her. Looking up she expected to see her handsome prince but instead found her friend/work colleague/boss smiling at her.
Himari sipped her tea feeling relief for two seconds before a tornado of kids came crashing into the lounge. "Oba! Oba are you okay?" The kids asked looking at her troubled.
"I told them you were caught in a paintball war by the way." He prepped her. Her boss had carried her in and covered her with a blanket. He created a backstory incase the kids saw her bloodied shirt.
"Hey my babies. I am so sorry I couldn't come pick you up from school today." She said glancing at them with a watery smile. She gave of a strong maternal aura.
"That's okay. Natsu-san picked us up and kept us company. " Her nephew explained pointing to her boss.
Himari nodded mouthing a thank you. Natsumi shook his head dismissing her formal habits. Looking at the clock he said, "You kids should clear up your school stuff and get ready. Your mom will be here soon."
The kids dashed off, listening to him.
"Ahh I miss having that much energy." He said in a nostalgic voice.
"How are you feeling?" He asked after a beat, cocking his head to look at her.
"I feel like a zombie. I am going to clean up." She said standing up and walking slowly.
Her boss watched her hold the walls and walk away at a sloths pace to the bathroom. He shook his head huffing a breath out but there wasn't anything he could do. He knew that offering to help would be futile seeing as she hated being babied.
Still for fun, he yelled, "Need me to walk you to the bathroom!?"
"No! I am fine!" She snapped hissing at him. He chuckled and walked off to find the kids.
"Let's watch cartoons." Natsumi suggested in playful sweet voice. The kids hearing the magic word 'cartoon' jumped excitedly and sat down on the fluffy carpet in front of the TV.
In the time it took to shower and dress, Himari's sister had picked the kids up and left in a hurry shouting a quick hello from outside the bathroom door.
She found Natsumi sitting in the lounge flipping through a magazine. "Thanks for today. It's been so crazy." She said laughing softly.
Glancing at her he nodded. "As your boss and best friend aaannnnd future family, there's no need to be so formal!" He chided her placing the magazine down.
"No need to thank me. Also I don't want to see you at work for the next week. Do what you can from here." He said firmly with affection laced in his tone.
Himari opened her mouth to protest but he raised a hand to stop her, "You will not be productive there. Shut up and rest from home. Not many people have this opportunity to work from home with such an awesome understanding boss you know." He said with a mock superior air. She nodded sitting down next to him.
Natsumi was the chief editor with Himari as his assistant for a local magazine that focused on fashion and trends on a broad spectrum from food to clothes and music. Work was never boring for them in their field but it was a high pressure job.
The door rang pulling Natsumi from his relaxed place on the couch.
"Oh my God where is she!? Is she alive!? Is she okay?" A panicked dramatic guy rushed past the hall into the living room.
"Ofcourse she's alive. Don't overreact now." Natsumi scolded walking in casually behind her brother.
Taking Himari by the hands her brother scanned her from head to toe.
"Hi big brother, how are you." She asked dryly.
Himari's brother inhaled sharply with a withering sigh.
"I am fine! Thank God for the handsome medic in the tailcoat." She said sighing restlessly, reassuring her brother.
"I've spoken to her already hunny. She's stubborn as always." Natsumi said hugging his fiance from the side.
But her brother didn't hear what his fiance had to say, his mind was fixated on one thing only.
"What handsome medic? Who was this man and why is coming near my baby sister!" Her brother demanded.
Natsumi face palmed himself knowing what came next.
"Hang on, weren't you with her!?" He said looking at his fiance.
Himari cut in, knowing how her brother was. "Ohh I feel so tired big bro. I need to rest." She said holding her head, she winked surreptitiously to Natsumi.
"Okay fine. But be careful of those guys out there." He said.
"You too." She quipped sarcastically.
Natsumi kissed his fiance, her brother on the cheek and led him out, both of them saying goodbye to Himari.
"Call if you need anything!" Her brother yelled just as they left the house.
Himari sighed haply to be alone with her thoughts. She loved her family and was so grateful for them bug she needed space at the moment. Space to think about the handsome man that swooped in like a hero with the fancy powers.
'Wait a second... That means- *gasp!* He was a Jujutsu Sorcerer! Omg I met a Jujutsu Sorcerer!' She said doing a little jig of excitement.
"I really hope I see that handsome Prince again..." She said softly to herself falling asleep on her couch.
Arata exhaled taking in the events of his day thus far.
He remembered the pretty lady he healed and how brave she was.
'A prince. That's what she feels? How I'd love to be her prince...' He thought laughing bitterly at his own luck.
Arata worked complex hours and never knew when he'd be needed and how dangerous it would be.
Dating was close to impossible in his opinion. Yet for some reason seeing Himari made him want things he felt were taboo for him.
She was so pretty even though she was disheveled and all loopy. Her relaxed carefree way was refreshing, even if she her senses were numb. She brought zest and excitement for those ten minutes of his life and he had a feeling that she'd make life worth experiencing and living if she were his.
Shaking his thoughts off he scanned through the documents of the patients on the infirmary. He stifled a yawn wanting to turn in already. Glancing at the clock he saw that it was ten at night.
Getting up he did his final rounds in the infirmary for the night, checking the patients vitals and assessing their recovery rate.
Some students had accidents while training and stayed over at the infirmary to heal.
"Arata!" He turned to see Kamo standing there with his hands crossed.
"You need sleep, you look exhausted. Your Jujutsu drains you directly from your soul. You'll be off tomorrow." Kamo said with a finality in his voice.
Arata swallowed thickly looking over at his patients. "They'll be fine. Everyone else will just have to avoid getting hurt for 24 hours." He said sarcastically to Arata.
Bowing low to Kamo he smiled thankfully to him.
"I'll come in to check on them but I'll take the day off." He replied bargaining with Kamo who simply shook his head in exasperation.
"I am a medic. It's an honor to serve and be at use. We never rest, it's our way." He replied softly.
"I like to see you do your job when you drop dead from exhaustion." Kamo said dismissing any further argument.
"We'll call you for help if one of our students gets crushed between two mountains. But for now they need to learn to handle themselves. Its unfair to depend on one person. Rest well." Kamo said walking off.
♡°•°♡°•°♡
The next morning Arata made his way out of Jujutsu Kyoto High with Aoi Todo accompanying him. Arata had the feeling that Kamo did that to make sure he didn't slink back to work.
The two were on their way to have lunch and hang out while doing some guy stuff, though Arata hoped it wasn't a Takada-chan meet and greet.
"So tell me what's your type of woman? You're 27 years old and I'm curious to know now what a gentleman like yourself prefers."
His cheeks tinted a bright red and he looked away awkwardly. Todo always caught him off guard with his straightforward questions.
Arata found himself thinking about this genuinely and his mind wandered to Himari and her pretty features.
"A princess." He said simply.
"Huh?"
"I want a princess of a woman so that I can be her prince." He replied clearly.
Todo sniffed staring pitifully at Arata. "I knew you'd say something like that. But good for you, such a loyal idea." He said.
"I was just curious, I can't fight you seeing as you are our only medic. I usually duel the person. I respect you Mr Nitta." He said clapping him on the back.
The two sat at a local Japanese restaurant opting to get sushi and Soba.
"Nothing like our authentic foods!" Todo exclaimed.
Arata smiled nodding, it felt so odd to be dressed casually and sit in a restaurant without having to stress about work. He almost didn't know what to do.with himself.
He folded the napkins on the table neatly it of habit. Being a medic made him meticulous to the last stitch and extremely obsessive with neatness. Naturally he was a hygiene freak.
Relaxing back with Todo who surprisingly was very comforting to be with, they spoke about philosophies on what's right on the Jujutsu world. The talked about self-defense and Arata asked Todo to help him practice.
"I want to be able to hold back curses better." Arata decided.
Todo nodded swallowing his bite of sushi. "I admire a man whose willing to improve." He said smiling serenely.
"You're a good guy Arata, I hope you find your princess. Perhaps she'll fall into your lap one day." He said blinking in what he thought was a hopeful fanatic way. It was just plain scary though.
Just as Arata was about to lift his chopsticks to his mouth a commotion on his left occurred. A waiter bumped into a patron who tripped and fell onto Arata's lap. With quick reflexes he steadied and saw that is was his princess.
"Himari?" He confirmed in surprise.
She looked up at his face, cheeks going red, "Ahh, H-Hi." She said embarrassed.
Todo chuckled deep and heavy, "Well what do you know. Your princess did fall into your lap!"
Arata helped Himari up and out of habit he checked her arm and wound. Only a scar was left and he nodded to himself.
"Sorry about that. Thanks for saving me the second time." She said bowing.
"I'll see you." She said running out.
'It's the handsome prince. It's him. Again. Oh my God! And I embarrassed myself for the second time.' She thought as she sprinted out of the restaurant.
She heard him call her name, a few meters down. Turning she found him jogging after her, blonde hair fluttering with his movements.
'Oh he's so perfect. Even while running!' She fangirled inside.
He wore a dark blue polar neck sweater with cream colored slacks and tan loafers. He had a a beige trench coat handing off his arm. He slowed down as he approached.
"Miss Shirai?" He addressed in a melodious soft voice.
She smiled sheepishly and waved.
'God he's gorgeous. What did I ever do to even get a chance to speak to this godly man?' She thought.
"Thank you very much for helping heal me twice. Please allow me to repay your kindness." She said trying to bow forward.
Arata caught her shoulders in a quick movement stilling her, just before her head spun.
"You shouldn't be doing anything strenuous. You just had a fresh injury yesterday. What are you doing unescourted." He said sternly.
Arata stood back straight and hand slid into his pocket. The embodiment of poise and grace.
'He's such a gentleman! Ahhhhhhhhhh Omg!Omg!Omg!!!'
"I just realized I am at a disadvantage. I don't know your name." She said softly tucking some hair behind her ears.
"Oh yes. I am Arata Nitta. Medic and healer for the Jujutsu Kyoto branch." He shook her hand and brought her hand up to place a kiss on it.
It was the first time he ever was so flirty and it happened of its own accord.
"How can I repay you. You helped me more than a medic would extend to do." She said kindly.
'Just how forward would it be to ask for her phone number? Aoi-san would know the answer but I can't call him right now. How do I ask her out? Am I even allowed to?' He wondered, beautiful eyes blinking in thought.
"You don't have to worry about anything. As long as you're safe." He replied.
"Oh, okay." She said looking downcast.
'Arrghh! Why did I say that!? Now it makes me look abrupt as if I brushed her off.'
"I wouldn't mind going out for ice-cream or perhaps getting your p-phone number. Would that be out of the boundary?" He inquired, locking his hands behind his back and crossing his fingers tight.
Himari's face brightened.
"I love that idea! Here let me give you my number." She said holding her hand out to him for his phone. Tapping her number in she saved her contact information.
Arata took her features in as they walked to the ice-cream parlor. He stifled a grin remembering her behavior from yesterday.
She didn't know how much she babbled about how handsome he was and what a dream he was to her. Arata tried to settle her down but she was difficult. She randomly scream stuff out and tried to run off twice.
Himari chanced a look at Arata who was already staring at her. His eyes flitted over her face and then looked away.
'The way he dresses Ohhhh! Who does that these days. I thought royalty was around back there. He looks so good and he's so sweet.'
She swooned remembering his gloved hands and how he knelt down and used his sure hands to work so efficiently.
'Ahhh efficiency and intellect in a man is so sexy!'
Swinging the door open for her he waited for her to enter the parlor first with the same grace of a Disney prince. No, he was better.
While waiting for their order they chatted about themselves more.
"I am actually more of a medic than a sorcerer. I don't exorse any spirits. I can see them and I do know how to fight but that's just formality. I have the gift of healing." He explained.
Himari remembered him in, his three piece suit that fitted so perfectly, the way he stood. The gloves on his hand, white leather with silver accents on them.
'I didn't know gloves were my thing. But my God does he look good. And his physique! His arms aren't bulging from the many layers of material. I know he's muscular down inside.'
She tried to undress him with her eyes.
Arata's gaze heated, taking her slender tiny figure in himself. She was a few inches shorter than him and had strawberry blond hair that was smooth and straight. It was pulled into a high ponytail with a few strands framing her face.
'Never before have I been attracted to anyone. She's so attractive my lord! Petite like a princess...'
"So what about you? Where were you rushing off to yesterday?" He asked lacing his fingers together.
"I am an editor for a local magazine. I am working from home for the next week though." She said smiling at him.
"What about your friend? I hope I didn't intrude." She asked nervously.
Arata shook his head, "No you didn't. He had something else to do. We were just having a rest day with nothing really planned. I am glad I met you today." He said smiling sweetly at her.
Sundae glasses were placed in front of them with their ice-cream and they both dug in. Arata ordered a vanilla ice-cream with strawberry sauce and Himari ordered a chocolate brownie with a large scoop of chocolate ice-cream.
"So you don't get much free time huh?" She asked looking down shyly.
He shook his head, "I don't take them because there's always someone to tend to. But I am thinking of relaxing my hours a bit more now." He said staring at her with intent.
"There's this Halloween party I have to attend. Would you be free to attent with me?" She asked after a few bites.
"I'd love to." He exclaimed.
"It's in two weeks, I'll text you the adress of the venue." She grinned.
"So we have to dress up for it yes?" He asked nervously.
She smiled sweetly, lips curling up and catching his attention. His gaze lingered over them too long.
"I know what you can be..." She said with a playful smirk.
He cocked his head to the side wordlessly.
"A prince!"
He chuckled, breaking fully into a laugh.
"I waited for that... you kept mentioning that yesterday." He said smiling at her with sparkly eyes.
"You looked amazing. It was so refreshing to see a man dress so proper." She said looking away.
Arata smiled at her looking adoringly at her.
"You should dress up as my princess then." He said smiling softly.
Arata dropped her off at her place after spending the entire afternoon together with her. She snored softly as they rode to her place, head on his shoulder.
Gently tapping her awake, she blinked sleepily at him when they arrived. Walking her to her door he kissed her hand once again. "Sleep well princess." He said winking at her. Stepping back he placed a hand behind him and bowed low. A teasing grin on his face.
♡°•°♡°•°♡
Arata was busy in the infirmary healing a first years injury.
"Next time please ask for help. Don't go around wielding weapons twice your size." He said assessing the bruise on the bone.
"You'll be fine by tomorrow but please rest. I will get Todo to buckle you down if I have to." He warned, knowing the boy was a busy body.
He and Todo had become even better friends since that day. Todo told him to go after Himari and that he shouldn't let her go.
That evening when Arata returned Todo asked him how it went and had supported him ever since.
Washing his hands and exiting the room he glanced at his phone, a smile graced his lips.
A text from Himari had popped up.
It was two weeks since he met and they texted and called each other everyday. Their feelings had grown twofold in a matter of two weeks.
♡Himari: Still on for tonight?
His heart fluttered excited to meet her after working long hours the entire week.
Arata: Yep. I can't wait, missed you.
He answered back, pocketing his phone.
Tonight was the Halloween party and he was excited to meet her again. They had only met for coffee once briefly a few days ago and he couldn't seem to get enough of her.
Arata was going as a fictional prince opting for a royal blue tail coat with gold shoulder pads and roping.
He wore a white shirt underneath and had white cotton skinny pants that he'd cover with knee high black heeled boots for men.
Aoi nodded approvingly, "Nicely done. I think you look the best and I don't need to see the rest to say so." He replied.
"What are you dressed as Aoi-san?" Arata asked.
Spreading his hands out as if it were obvious he said, "Takada-chans future husband." With a grin.
"Looking every bit the perfect husband." He complemented walking out, and he meant it too. Aoi Todo was such a good hearted person that whoever he ended up with would be lucky.
Arriving at the venue on time, Arata slipped on his white silk gloves and walked in gracefully even if his boots did have heels.
Himari stood waiting for him at the entrance wearing a beautiful white, off shoulder layered ball gown with a sweetheart neckline.
She had her hair pulled up into a beautiful updo.
'She really is a princess.' He thought wowed by her.
Arata walked up to her and bowed low smile sweetly at her. Himari curtesyed holding her dress.
Holding his arm out to her, she hooked her into his and led him to the venue.
Everyone had gone out for this party and some rather intriguing costumes were worn.
Himari led them to her boss who stood with her brother watching them in shock.
"I didn't know she had a date!" Her brother exclaimed.
"Explains why she dressed up so much." Natsumi said smirking.
"He's cute though you gotta admit that." Natsumi said nudging him. Her brother grumbled in agreement.
Himari beamed at them and introduced Arata to her brother and future brother-in-law.
Natsumi was dressed as Robin Hood and her brother as Shakespeare.
They shook Arata's hand firmly and smiled. He was so charming that her family was taken away. Natsumi caught her eyes and made an impressed face mouthing 'Nice'.
Arata held his hand out to Himari just as Natsumi held his hand out to her brother. They walked to the dance floor and a melodious tune began playing that they moved to.
Arata guided and lead her around the waxed marble floors as they waltzed to the song. She felt like a real princess in that moment, gazing into his eyes and admiring his beautiful face.
The rest of the evening passed similarly with Himari dancing with Arata, stuck in a beautiful dream. Arata even danced with Natsumi who asked him with a charming smile.
No one expected Arata to smile back and lead him to the dance floor waltzing with him in sync.
Himari's brother stood surprised at how Arata accepted their relationship and even respected them so much as to not turn down Natsumi.
Araya smiled genuinely as they spun around and danced gracefully.
"He's a good guy big bro. I wouldn't be attracted to any toxic guy. You and Natsumi's love have set the bar high for me." She said to her brother while they watched the two waltze around.
When the song ended Arata led Natsumi back to where Himari stood. "Such an honor to dance with someone so skilled in the waltz." Arata commented bowing a final time to Natsumi who smiled brightly.
"I have been told a lot of things. Judged by many. Misunderstood by the world for choosing to love a man. But never have I been complemented so." He said softly smiling emotionally.
"If two people make each other genuinely happy what else could you hope for. The world I see applauds murder and crime but frowns upon happiness and good people. No judgement from me ever." Arata replied with his hands up in surrender.
With that said, Himari's brother calmed down, liking Arata even more for his baby sister. That evening when the party was over everyone applauded and made they way out. Arata was stilled by Himari's brother who smiled weakly.
"I couldn't ask for a better man for my sister. Thank you." He said clasping his arm in a greeting and then turning to leave.
Himari did a little jig excitedly. Her dressed swayed with the movement.
"Did you bring me here specifically to meet your brother and boss?" He asked quizzically.
She gave a tiny shy nod, as they walked out of the venue.
"Can we walk home?" She asked looking at him with doe eyes.
"Ahh sure, if you aren't too cold." He replied looking over at her.
"I am fine. Besides I want to spend more time with you and I can't fit into a cab with this dress on." She admitted laughing at her herself. She had a poofy multi-layered skirt.
Arata chuckled and walked with her protectively to her place. Noticing her shiver, he tried to discreetly run his palm over her spine. She warmed up immediately and blushed at how he effortlessly used his abilty.
"Thank you." She said softly with a pink tinge to her cheeks.
Arata detoured to a park and they sat in the empty space on a bench looking at the diamond studded sky.
He handed a small box that had a ribbon tied around it.
"I wanted to ask you properly." He said inhaling as if he prepared himself for something. She listened intently leaning in slightly.
"Would you like to date? On more official terms?" He said, voice careful and unsure.
He'd never done anything like this and wasn't sure how to word it. Arata spent the day pondering over how to word such a thing.
"I like you very much. I am completely enamored by the way you carry yourself out and the person that you are. I feel like us being together would combine to be a beautiful colour." He said hopefully.
'Arg! I am messing this up royally!' He cringed.
Himari sniffed, eyes watering up.
"That was the most eloquently worded sentence to ask someone out that I've ever heard." She said smiling at him sweetly.
Wrapping her arms around him she held him close in a hug. "My handsome prince!" She whispered in his ear.
Breaking free she opened the box to find a gold charm bracelet. She held his reverently staring at it silently.
Arata grew nervous.
"I-I looked up what a good gift would be. Do you not like it?"
She shook her head and smiled at him with excitement in her eyes.
"No it's so beautiful. Thank you Arata." She said trying it on.
Hearing his name roll off her lips was attractive and sent a thrill through his soul making his eyes glaze over with desire.
They both leaned in at the same time, Arata paused taking in her face, her soft tinted lips.
He pressed his lips over her and kissed her softly and slowly. He was so gentle and attentive, both of them meeting each other halfway, no one really led that kiss.
Ending their kiss, their foreheads rested lightly together. "Here's to our life together as a couple." She said.
"Here's to a life full of wonder and happiness." He promised, standing up and leading her her place.
Two years later
The door buzzed causing Himari to stir in her sleep. "I'll get it." Arata said kissing her cheek and getting out of bed.
Opening the door her nieces and nephew ran in excited to spend their school holidays with them.
Arata chatted with them and got them settled down, giving them each equal amount of attention.
"Where is Oba?" One of Himari's nieces asked.
"She worked till late on an article, so she's sleeping in." He answered in a hushed warm tone.
He led the kids into the kitchen and began making breakfast. He cut up some green melon and berries and pushed the plate over to the kids eyeing them with a stern look.
"Snack on that while I make breakfast. You need a balanced diet okay." He said in a paternal voice.
Twenty minutes later the kids were watching cartoons while waiting for their new uncle to make breakfast. A pair of hands wrapped around Arata, a kiss was placed on his cheek.
"Morning handsome prince." Himari greeted. They entwined their hands, matching rings shining in the light.
"You slept okay?" He asked worried about the unhealthy amounts she spent behind a screen. She nodded smiling.
Himari set the table and the five of them ate together, making plans for their day ahead.
They decided to go for a movie and them visit the theme park. Arata smiled at Himari who laughed and spoke animatedly with their niblings.
Life was wonderful, even more so now that they were married.
'I am glad I found her that day...' He thought to himself. Glancing up he sent a silent prayer of thanks to heaven.
