Kuina wakes up to Nobara making her way into her room.

"Kuina, do you have any eyelash curlers?" Nobara asks as Kuina sits up.

"On the desk over there. How did you get the code to my room?" Kuina asks as she watches Nobara walk around her room.

"Sensei told me it. I told him it was urgent, which it is. My eyelashes have never looked so flat in my life" Nobara says as she sits down on Kuina's bed, "you're blessed with naturally curled lashes so you'll never know my pain".

"Tragic" Kuina says with a small giggle.

"Anyways, Sensei has a new mission for us first years to go on. Something about some prison where the prisoners reported seeing some kind of womb floating in the sky, creepy shit. Now get up, let's go get some breakfast. I'm not going on this mission without food" Nobara says as she leaves Kuina's room.

"Well aren't you two friendly already?" Xavier asks as he appears out of nowhere.

"She's super sweet and she gets me. She doesn't bother me all the time like you do. Where were you anyways? You weren't pottering around my room like you do every night" Kuina says as she gets out of bed.

"I got bored so I went for a walk around your school's campus. That older brother of yours is super strong isn't he? I saw him training last night" Xavier says as he starts to make Kuina's bed for her which has become a daily routine for him now.

"That's rare, he never trains. He's strong enough already" Kuina says as she pulls her uniform out of her wardrobe, "go down to where Ijichi-san is with the car, I'll meet you there".

Xavier nods as he leaves her room by teleporting. Kuina gets dressed and ties half of her hair up in it's usual bun, brushing through the rest of it. She puts her shoes on and then she leaves her room. She makes a shortcut to the weapon's room and picks up some stuff that she and Yuji can use. She makes it to the car as she gets into the front, Megumi dealing with Nobara and Yuji for the ride.

The five of them arrive at the prison as Kuina already sees Xavier standing outside. She walks over and they all stand together.

"Our window verified the cursed womb three hours ago. Once 90% were successfully evacuated, they made the call to seal off the centre" Ijichi explains as he holds his hands behind his back, "citizens within a 500 meter radius have been advised to evacuate as well".

"Ijichi-san, question" Yuji says as he puts his hand up, "what's a 'window' here?".

"A window is a member of Jujutsu High School who can see curses" Ijichi informs the new jujutsu sorcerer, "they aren't sorcerer's though. Let's continue. Detainee block two. At present, five detainee's remain inside there with the cursed womb. If this cursed womb is the type that metamorphoses, we predict it will become a special grade cursed spirit".

"A special grade? Those damn higher ups!" Kuina curses.

"Hey so... I still don't really get what special grade means" Yuji says as he looks at her.

"Yuji, I'm going to explain this like I would to an idiot so the information processes in your brain okay?" Kuina says as Yuji nods, "first of all is a grade four. A wooden bat is enough to beat those. Second of all is a grade three. If you have a gun, you can rest easily. Thirdly is a grade two. It'd be a close call with a gun. Fourth is a grade one. Even a tank wouldn't be useful. And finally, there's special grade. If you were to overpower it with cluster bombs, you might be on even footing".

"That's real bad" Yuji says worriedly.

"But we should be alright, right? I mean, Kuina's a grade one sorcerer" Nobara says as she looks hopefully as Kuina who gives her a reassuring smile, knowing Xavier would give her an extra kick of power.

"Normally a jujutsu sorcerer on par with the cursed spirit would take on the mission but because the higher ups have acknowledged Kuina as a first grade jujutsu sorcerer, she's fine to take on this missions as long as she's got back up" Megumi says as he looks at Kuina.

"You're so cool, Kuina!" Yuji says as he looks at Kuina who is slightly taken aback by Yuji's sudden compliment, "where's Gojo-sensei?".

"He's away on business" Kuina says, "he's not someone who should be loafing around the school in the first place".

"Unfortunately we're constantly short-handed in this business" Ijichi says as he folds his arms, "you'll often have to take part in missions beyond your power level. The current case however is urgent and an abnormal one to say the least. None of you are to engage with the enemy, apart from Kuina if the situation is dire. If any of the three of you encounter the special grade, you must stand back and let Kuina take control. Megumi or Nobara can step in once Kuina has weakened the cursed spirit enough so it can be exorcised. But Kuina, remember that your top priority is verification and rescue of survivors".

"Excuse me! Excuse me! Where's Tadashi?" a woman yells from behind the police barrier as some officers hold her back, "Is Tadashi... is my son Tadashi alright? Hey stop it! Let go of me! Let me get through!".

Yuji worries for the woman as Kuina grabs his hand, "it's okay Yuji, we're going to save as many people as we can!" Kuina reassures him as he looks at her and he nods.

"She's a guardian who was here for a visit" Ijichi explains as he stands in front of Yuji so he can't see the woman, "please step away! There is a possibility that someone could have spread poisonous gas throughout the centre".

"A gas leak, really? Is that the best you could come up with?" Kuina asks as Ijichi becomes deflated.

"No. Why?" the woman asks as she falls to the ground in tears, "why is this happening?".

"Kuina, Fushiguro, Kugisaki" Yuji says as he balls his fists, "we're gonna save them".

"Of course we are" Nobara says as she looks at the prison.

The four students make their way onto the site as Ijichi puts up a veil, "emerge from the darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure".

"Woah Kuina, this is like what you did at the school? What is it?" Yuji asks as he looks at the black energy forming around the prison.

"It's Veil. There's a residential area nearby, so this barrier conceals us from the outside world" Kuina explains as she, Nobara and Megumi all come over.

"That's incredible" Yuji exclaims as he stares in awe.

"Ignorant" Nobara comments.

"Demon dogs" Megumi says as he summons his white demon dog, "he'll let us know when the curse is close".

"Oh I see" Yuji says as he kneels down to the dog as he starts to pet it, "good boy, good boy. We're counting on you, okay?".

The four of them open the main door to the prison as they all step inside. They walk further inside, "wait!" Megumi says as he holds out his arm.

Much to the four students' horror, the prison is morphed to make it seem like their are infinite levels to the prison.

"What is this?" Yuji asks as he looks upwards.

"Wh-what's going on in here?" Nobara asks worriedly.

"Kuina, this was a two story dorm right?" Megumi asks as he looks at Kuina.

"C-c-calm down. It's a maisonette" Nobara says as she tries to calm herself at the same time.

"No it's not. You're right Megumi, this was a two story dorm" Kuina says as she looks at them all, "this is the deployment of a Innate Domain due to cursed energy. I've seen one's a little bigger than this one before but still, this is quite the case. Oi, where's the door?".

The four of them turn around to see that the door has disappeared.

"The door's gone!" Yuji says worriedly.

"How? We just came in through here, didn't we?" Nobara asks as she points at the door.

"What do we do? Ah, what do we do about this?" Yuji and Nobara ask as they walk around in a circle, singing slightly.

"It'll be fine" Megumi says as he grabs Yuji and Kuina grabs Nobara, "the dog will have remembered the scent of the entrance".

"Oh my!" the two say as they run to the dog.

"Good boy! Have some jerky! Have all the jerky you want!" Nobara says as she and Yuji pet the dog.

"You are way too calm" Megumi says angrily.

"You really are dependable, Fushiguro" Yuji says, much to Megumi's surprise, "thanks to you, we'll be able to save the people in here and ourselves, right?".

"Let's keep moving" Kuina says as she walks on ahead, the three other following behind her.

The four of them make it to one of the main rooms where they see three of the inmates laid against the wall, dead. Yuji runs over as Kuina follows slowly behind, Nobara and Megumi standing by the door.

"Atrocious" Yuji says as he kneels down in front of the people.

"That's... three people, right?" Nobara asks as she and Megumi slowly make their way over.

Yuji reads the name tag on one of the inmates, realising it's the son of the woman out front.

"Kuina, can't you give them some cursed energy? You said your cursed energy has healing powers right? You can heal them can't you?" Yuji asks as Kuina kneels down.

"They're beyond repair Yuji. My healing can only do so much but this boy has been torn in half by whatever is in here. I'm sorry" Kuina says as she looks at him.

"We'll take the body back then" Yuji says as he grips onto the fabric of the boy's jumpsuit.

"Huh?" Nobara remarks.

"It's that woman's son" Yuji says as he continues to look at the name tag on the jumpsuit.

"But..." Nobara tries to say.

"His face isn't too badly mangled. His mother won't accept it if we tell her he's dead, but we don't have a body" Yuji says, completely convinced that this is the right idea.

"We have to find and verify two more" Megumi says as he grabs Yuji by his collar and pulls him to stand up, "leave that body behind".

"Quit joking around!" Yuji shouts as he looks back at Megumi, "we turned around and the way we got in here was gone! We won't be able to come back for it later!".

"I didn't say come back for it, I said leave it!" Megumi says angrily.

"Megumi, go easy on him. It's his first mission" Kuina says as she stands up.

"I have no intention of risking my own life to save someone I had no intention of saving in the first place" Megumi says as Yuji grabs his collar.

"No intention of saving him? What do you mean?" Yuji asks, taken aback by Megumi's strong words.

"This is a juvenile detention centre. Jujutsu sorcerers are granted access to all information about to centre beforehand" Megumi explains as he looks directly as Yuji, wanting to make him understand him, "this is Okazaki Tadashi. He hit a little girl on her way home from school with his car which he didn't have a licence for. It was his second offence of driving without a licence. I know you're stuck on saving lots of people and guiding them to proper deaths, but what are you going to do when someone you save ends up killing someone else in the future?".

"Then why did you bother saving me?" Yuji questions angrily.

"You two cut it out!" Nobara yells as she and Kuina watch, "Christ, what are you two doing? You're both idiots. Think about the time and place if you-".

All of the sudden, the ground below Nobara starts to draw her in.

"Oi Nobara!" Kuina yells as she tries to grab for Nobara but she's gone within an instance.

"Kugisaki?" Yuji questions.

"No way. My demon dogs should've sensed the curse!" Megumi says as he looks and sees that his demon dog as been killed and can no longer be used, "Itadori, Kuina, we're running!".

Just as he says that, the curse that they've been looking for appears in between the two of them.

There's no mistake. It's a special grade. I can't move.

Megumi tells himself as he's frozen still.

Move. Move. Move. Move. Move.

Yuji tries to urge himself. Kuina runs at the curse and kicks it, sending it flying into the wall behind it as she pushes Megumi and Yuji out of the way.

"You two stay back!" Kuina shouts as she pulls out some large chains.

Kuina throws them at the spirit as Kuina manipulates them so they wrap around the curse. As the curse struggles, the chain's start to burn through it's skin.

"Kuina. I thought you said you didn't have a cursed technique" Yuji says as he runs in.

"Yuji stay back!" Kuina yells as Yuji swings for the curse, only for the curse to cut his hand off.

"Itadori?" Megumi asks as he looks at Yuji who's now lost one hand.

Yuji looks at his hand as blood starts to pour from it.

"Yuji I told you to stay back!" Kuina says angrily as she unwraps the chains from the curse.

"Kuina. When did you get a cursed technique?" Megumi asks as Kuina starts to cut the curse all over it's body.

"I've had them for a while, but only a few people knew about them. It's the real reason why I can be a grade one sorcerer. But if Satoru were to find out, he'd recommend me as a special grade. But you know me, I don't wanna be a sorcerer for the rest of my life!" Kuina yells as she ducks down and slides across the ground, cutting the curse's legs off, making it fall to the ground.

"Wait you don't wanna be a jujutsu sorcerer?" Yuji asks as he comes over.

"No. I never have been, never wanted to be. Satoru made me do it after I ran away from my clan" Kuina says as she grabs Yuji's wrist, "my cursed energy will stop the bleeding for now, but it can't bring your wrist back".

"We need to run, Itadori" Megumi says as he looks at Yuji, "Kuina can handle things from here until some real sorcerer's show up!".

"I can't escape now. Not when it's injured me this badly. And I'm not leaving Kuina alone with this thing" Yuji says as he wraps the leather strap from his bag around his arm, "oi Sukuna. If I die, you die too right? If you don't want that then help me out!".

"Nope" Sukuna says as he forms from the side of Yuji's face, "even if the parts inside of you die, there are eighteen other fragments of my soul out there somewhere. All I need is for my little brother to find those, isn't that right, Xavier?".

"That's right Brother" Xavier says as he shows up next to Kuina, showing himself to Yuji and Megumi.

"Oi Xavier, what are you doing?" Kuina asks as he looks at him.

"Xavier Sukuna?" Megumi asks as he looks at him.

Megumi goes to attack him but Xavier throws his arm out and throws Megumi into the wall behind him.

"Megumi!" Kuina yells as she runs over, "Xavier, what are you doing? You said you were gonna kill Sukuna!".

"Sorry about this love but I lied to you, us demons tend to do that. What I really want is to get my brother out of this brat so the two of us can rule!" Xavier says as he starts to laugh uncontrollably.

"We had a deal!" Kuina yells as she runs to him and she grabs him, "you can't change the pact!".

"The person who created the pact can manipulate it however they want my love" Xavier says as her looks at her.

"Kuina... don't tell me... you were the one who broke Xavier out" Megumi says as he comes over.

"I had no choice" Kuina says as she looks down.

"Kuina, why would you?" Yuji asks as he looks at Kuina.

"After the fight with Sukuna, when he nearly killed me, I got mad at my own weakness so I went to Xavier and I freed him. I made a pact with him. He told me he hated his brother and wanted to kill him. Turns out that was just a lie" Kuina says as she looks at Xavier.

"We can sort this out after we get rid of that special grade. For now, Kuina, control Xavier. Itadori, control Sukuna" Megumi orders the two of them as Kuina nods, grabbing Xavier, forcing him to submit, a power she recently found she had over him.

The special grade throws a bunch of cursed energy at the three students as they all dodge out of the way of the attack.

"You're more than welcome to switch out with me, after all, you are the one with the most control here" Sukuna continues to speak, "but once you do, I'll kill that brat over there, the one with the dark blue hair. After that, I'll go after that woman. She's feisty, I'll have some fun with her. And after her, I'll free my brother from that woman's clutches and I will kill her. It's as simple as that".

"I'm not going to let you do that" Yuji says as he gets up from the ground.

"I bet. But if you're too focused on me, your friends are going to die" Sukuna says with a small chuckle.

"Megumi! Megumi! Find Nobara and get out of here. Yuji and I can't be injured completely so you need to get out of here. We'll find a way to exorcise the curse, so just get out of here!" Kuina says as she looks at Megumi.

"Kuina" Megumi says worriedly.

"We'll be fine, Megumi. We've got this. I just need you to get to safety. Give us a signal once you're out. If it comes to it, I'll get Xavier or Sukuna to exorcise it" Kuina says as Megumi nods before running off.

Yuji and Kuina stand together as they look at the cursed spirit who finally separates itself from the remainders of it's womb.

"Trying to say it's easier to move around in your underwear?" Yuji asks as Kuina giggles at Yuji's remark.

Xavier tries to communicate with Kuina, only to be hit by the positive energy emanating from her body.

Remember Xavier. Negative energy is much more powerful than any other energy type. Feed off of the negative energy, that is how you gain power.

Xavier remembers the words of his older brother Sukuna from a long time ago.

If that's true Brother, then what was that just now? That energy was unlike any other I've ever felt. It reminds me of Oni, the love and joy she brought me, the constant positive energy, the one that made me strong back then. Is this that? The boy made Kuina laugh. Does Kuina love this boy?

Xavier asks himself as he looks at the two kids in front of him.

"Kuina, what do we do? I've got no clue how to use cursed energy" Yuji says as he looks at Kuina.

"For now, that's fine Yuji" Kuina says the curse throws energy at the two of them, Kuina blocking it with a barrier of her own cursed energy, "for now, you just watch and learn. Once you're ready, I'll transfer some cursed energy to you. Cursed energy that will be yours, not Sukuna's".

Kuina is caught off guard as the curse punches Kuina with a large amount of cursed energy, throwing her backwards.

"Kuina!" Yuji yells as he tries to go to her but the curse stands in between them.

"I'll take care of her" Xavier says as he appears next to her.

"You stay the hell away from her!" Yuji yells as Xavier crouches down.

"Come on Kuina. Let's get you out of here" Xavier says as he tries to help Kuina up.

"Get the hell off of me. I'm staying here, I'm not leaving Yuji on his own. By all means, leave!" Kuina yells as she manages to get back up on her own.

Kuina runs over to Yuji and sees that the curse is about to hit him with a large amount of energy. Kuina grabs Yuji as the energy hits the two of them, forcing them through the wall into the next room.

"Yuji, are you okay?" Kuina asks as she helps Yuji up.

"Yeah, and you? That's the second time that's happened to you now" Yuji says as he looks at her.

"As soon as we get rid of this spirit, we'll be able to recover properly so let's wrap this up quickly" Kuina says as Yuji nods.

The curse stands in the hole in the wall it created as it lets out a large amount of cursed energy. Kuina holds out her arm as the energy starts to burn her arm up. Yuji holds out his hands as his fingers start to burn. Kuina and Yuji are thrown into the wall behind them as Kuina feels a part of a spine break. Kuina starts to slowly heal herself with her cursed energy as Yuji sits next to her.

"Yuji, I can't move. You need to get up. I can give you some cursed energy. Here" Kuina says as she holds onto Yuji's side.

"I thought I was strong" Yuji says as he looks down, Kuina looking at him, "I thought I was at least strong enough to choose when to die, but I was wrong. I'm weak. I'm far too weak".

"Yuji" Kuina says as Yuji gets up, Kuina still passing cursed energy to him.

"Ah I don't wanna die!" Yuji says as he starts to cry, covering his eyes with his hand and wrist, "no! No way! But... I am going to die".

"Yuji listen to me!" Kuina yells as Yuji looks back at her, "that emotion that you're feeling. Send it to your fists. Let the anger control your actions!".

Yuji looks at his fists as he tries, "just let it all out Yuji. The sadness of your grandfather's death, let it control you!" Kuina says as she sees red energy form around his fists, "that's it Yuji, you're doing it!".

Yuji runs towards the spirit and throws a punch but the curse catches the punch, leaving no effect.

"Damn it!" Yuji says angrily as he hears a howl from Megumi's demon dog.

That howl...

Yuji tells himself.

"Yuji! Let him out!" Kuina yells from behind him.

"But he tried to kill you last time. And Xavier. What if those two join forces?" Yuji asks as he holds onto the curse.

"I'll be fine, just do it! As much as I hate to admit it... we need him!" Kuina yells as Yuji closes his eyes as he switches with Sukuna.

The curse stumbles backwards as tattoos appear all along Yuji's body.

"What a thoroughly annoying brat!" Sukuna curses as he rolls his eyes, the curse still stunned by his presence, "he's obviously screwing with me" Sukuna says as he pats the curse on the shoulder, "hold on a moment, I'm thinking right now! What can I do to make that brat regret this? If I go for the girl here, he'll just switch out, the same if I went for that boy. So the option would be... oi Xavier, come on out. You and I are joining forces with this curse here. We're gonna kill the jujutsu sorcerers".

"Okay Brother" Xavier says as he walks over to Sukuna.

"Xavier! I hate you! How could you do this to me?" Kuina asks as she looks at him.

"I'm a demon, love. It was your fault for being so naïve in the first place. Making a contract with a demon... how dim can you be?" Xavier says with a small chuckle.

"If you do this... I'll break the contract. I'll break it and you'll go back to being locked up, rotting away in a dungeon cell" Kuina says as she starts to stand up.

"And if you break the contract, you'll become weaker in the presence of Sukuna" Xavier explains.

"What?" Kuina asks confused at his words.

"When you break a contract, you become weaker in the presence of the thing the contract was made over in the first place. Because you wanted to feed from my strength in order to kill my brother, if you break the contract, you'll become weaker around him, weaker than you were before. If you don't want to become that weak, you won't break our contract. You and I are stuck together until you kill my brother. And I will stop you from doing that. Also, my brother is practically untouchable" Xavier says cockily.

"Enough of this quarrel, let's go kill some kids" Sukuna says as he walks towards Kuina, "follow me" he says as he ushers his brother and the curse behind him.

Xavier follows Sukuna as the curse jumps backwards as it throws some energy at Sukuna.

"Fool" Sukuna says as he regenerates Yuji's lost hand, throwing the energy back at Kuina who is thrown into the wall some more, "ah, shit, I healed this one too".

The curse screams in shock as Xavier walks over to Kuina and he picks her up, "let go of me" Kuina says angrily.

"You don't like walks? Well, cursed spirits are usually supposed to stay where they were born" Sukuna says as he looks at the curse with a smile, "fine, fine. In that case..." Sukuna says as he runs to the curse and grabs it, forcing it into the ground, "you die here! Hey, hey, what's the matter? You're not finished already, are you?" Sukuna taunts as the curse tries to get up from the ground, "that's it. Come on, try harder".

Sukuna kicks the curse as the ground below them breaks. Xavier and Kuina fall down as well as the curse grabs Sukuna's ankle. The curse starts to throw Sukuna around, only to see him sitting on a piece of broken ground.

"Even a cursed spirit would miss their arm, right?" Sukuna asks as he pulls out the curse's severed arm from behind his back.

Sukuna starts to laugh uncontrollably as Kuina watches the curse fall into the water below them and she floats there with Xavier. Xavier throws his arm around as he throws the curse onto the wall, severing all of its limbs.

"Hey, did you know? The three of us are classified as special grade apparently. The three of us man" Sukuna says as he looks at the cursed spirit who starts to pull itself out of the wall, regenerating its limbs, "good job special grade. Keep trying.

The curse jumps down from the wall and lands in front of Sukuna as Xavier and Kuina land next to Sukuna.

"You look happy" Sukuna says as he raises a brow, "want me to praise you? But healing with cursed energy isn't that hard for cursed spirits, unlike it is for humans. Neither you nor this brat really understand what curses truly are. This is a good opportunity so I'll show you... what real jujutsu is".

Sukuna holds his hands together as he presses two tips of his fingers together, "domain expansion!".

"Kuina!" Xavier yells as he covers Kuina.

"Malevolent shrine!" Sukuna says as the entire room turns into a large shrine.

Xavier looks at Kuina and sees her looking around in awe. Kuina watches as the curse splits into five. Sukuna walks over and takes out the finger that the curse had previously ate.

"I was planning to cut you into three slices, but you're really weak. And since my brother covered that girl over there, it has had no effect on her" Sukuna says as he puts the finger in his pocket, exorcising the curse, "it's over" Sukuna says as he calls out to Yuji, "this sucks! If you're gonna switch, just do it already. What's the matter, brat?" Sukuna asks with a smile, "come Xavier, it seems as though the brat is having a hard time. Let's go kill some kids, starting with that one right there" Sukuna says as he looks directly at Kuina.
