After pouring juice in all 2,700 cups, Rin carefully places the cups in a freezer (too modern) and quickly heads off, freezer in hand.
Although her energy has been exhausted, Rin pushed herself and moved forward. She began to pant even heavier, yet her legs kept running.
Rin eyed the tower that was in construction. It hovered above all of the buildings, soon to become a landmark. Immediately, Rin knew that it must be there where the witch hid with Alfred.
Speeding up, Rin rushed towards the tower. She dodged all passerby while eyeing the obstacle she was about to overcome. Her life was on the line; so was Alfred's.
When she arrived at the site, Rin stopped for a few seconds breather. She then continued her "journey" to the top of the tower.
The tower's appearance is somewhat similar to today's Tokyo Tower. The difference is that there was no stairs and was nothing more than a landsite to look at; the only way up was to jump from one skinny bar to another.
Of course, this was a difficult challenge for Rin. She had never been much of an acrobatic since her agility only came from running in Alfred's physical games.
Sweat formed on Rin's face as the young girl struggled to keep her balance on the bars. She tried not to gaze at the ground below her - the ground of death.
As she climbed up to the second "floor" of the tower, she lifted her head towards the top of the tower. There were five "floors" in total; there were three "floors" left, which needed to be overcome quickly.
Suddenly, Rin's feet slipped off the bars. In an instant, Rin quickly grabbed a bar with her arms and clutched to it. She had saved herself from a moment of death.
Fear filled Rin at the thought of being caught in the same situation again; death would not spare her next time.
Despite this, Rin lifted herself and continued her obstacle course. She cannot allow her childhood friend to disappear from her life.
Along the way, there were a few bars here and there swinging close to her. Luckily, Rin managed to dodge them and keep her balance - by grabbing another nearby bar.
As Rin jumped from bar to bar, going 'round and 'round to the top, the sun made its way to the sky. Day was approaching.
Energy deeply exhausted and low on balance, Rin found great difficulty in overcoming the "floors." By the time the sun was nearly halfway in the sky, Rin finally stumbled upon the top of the tower.
Breathing heavily, Rin paused to catch her breath, then slowly lifted her head to observe her surroundings.
She stood on a cold hard stone floor, which could easily crumble at a careless heavy step. There was no fence, but rather a two-brick tall stone wall around the edges of the stone floor. The floor was not wide at all, but it was enough for a small party to be held.
"So you have finally made it, huh?" a familiar voice cracked in reaction to Rin's arrival.
Rin instantly perked up in surprise. There, in front of her, was the witch alongside Alfred Jones, who was bound in ropes to a chair.
