Chapter One: What Lengths of Hope

Sara sighed as she sat on her balcony of her penthouse, a fuzzy pink blanket drapped over her shoulders as she looked at her figure of Ackar in her hands and the ring he gave her back on Bara Magna on her ring finger. Her eyes were puffy and slightly red underneath them as her cheeks were the same but tearstained. The grievance of a child losing their parent was all she felt when she first heard the news of her mother's passing two hours ago. It made her think back of Berix feeling without his mother in his life.

The ring itself proved to Sara it wasn't a dream, she never owned a ring like that before in her life and people would never think to give her a ring so rustic looking in their eyes. But to Sara, it showed just how much Ackar loved her. She sighed again as she looked at her figure of Ackar in her hands then kissed it's forehead area, the pressing her face against the figure as she started to cry again.

Sara heard footsteps in her crying then a hand rest itself on her shoulder making her look up and see through her tears her sister Lindsey holding two mugs of Hot Chocolate in her free hand. Lindsey sighed as she put the mugs down on the small table between the two chairs as she then crouched down next to his little sister and hugged her close allowing Sara to cry into her shoulder as Lindsey patted her back.

"I miss her too sis, I miss her too." Lindsey told the blonde that was her half sister. The two may had different father's, Lindsey's dying years ago to Leukemia, but they still had the same mother, and yet it didn't change their bond as sisters in the slightest. "I-It hurts though s-sis." Sara croaked out from her tears making Lindsey sigh as she patted her head.

The two suddenly heard the front door open making Sara manage to stop her crying as they looked. "Did you invite anyone?" Lindsey asked her little sister, "I was about to ask you the same thing." Sara told her big sister. Sara grabbed the wasp spray she kept on the balcony so she could use it on the intruder.

The person came to the balcony area revealing to be a man who seemed to be in his late thirties to early fourties, dark brown hair with a slight five o'clock shadow on his face with his square shaped jaw, he was six foot three in hieght and his outfit screamed of someone who needed a shower with how filthy it was. Sara immediately recognized the person as she aimed the wasp spray at his face.

Lindsey did as well, and she was immediately surprised he of all people went as far as breaking in to her little sister's apartment with his stalker issues even with a restraining order as well. "Oh come on, I think we both know deary, that thing hasn't been replaced." He said as he narrowed his brown eyes at the blonde, Sara's face paled at that realizing that was true. Lindsey took a stance near her sister to protect her from the guy.

The male seemed to scoff at that as he took something from his pocket and flipped it open revealing a switch blade, "Now come on Lindsey, just let us be together and we'll be okay." Lindsey scoffed at that one, "How many times do both I and Sara have to tell you? She doesn't like you." She told him, the brunette's eyes narrowed at that as Sara held her sister's arm.

He immediately ran at the two making Lindsey grab her sister to pull her aside when the male suddenly knocked the two sisters into the glass railing making to shatter under the weight as the three fell with screams.

Lindsey immediately held her sister in her arms as the only thing they could feel alongside their panic was the howling wind as they fell. 'I need them,' Sara thought to herself, 'I need them, now!' Sara yelled in her head. A sudden flash of pink and white light formed around Sara and Lindsey and quickly disappeared showing the sisters had disappeared into thin air as the male fell to the concrete ground making those who were walking by scream in alarm and fear.

The two sisters gone into thin air, with Sara's powers.

Ik it's pretty crappy but eh, what can you do? I kinda like it ngl. Since rewriting this second book I'm getting more ideas I can actually finish up drafts up since its a line I can actually work with compared to the first one!]
