As Kítra was headed to her room, Fili noticed her. He had left the throne room to search for her along with everyone else, all going different ways. He hurried over, "Where were you? We were looking all over for you!"

"Um... I was listening to you guys talk." Kítra said, not wanting to tell him the truth.

Fili raised an eyebrow, "Everyone said you weren't in there and hadn't been for a while."

Kítra swallowed, "Well, I was in the very back."

"Kítra, seriously? Just be honest. I'm not your uncle or brother." Fili pursued.

"I was listening for a while."

"Where did you go after that?" Fili asked, slightly annoyed.

Kítra rolled her eyes, "Must you know everything?" She asked impatiently.

"Either you tell me, or you'll have to tell your uncle and brother." Fili smirked.

Kítra huffed, "Fine. But you can't tell my uncle or brother or anyone!"

"That depends on what it is you are going to tell me. But sure, I can probably do that." Fili agreed.

"Well," Kítra glowered, "If you must know, I was..." She sighed, "I was bored so I went to the dungeons." She let out a short breath, "Are you gonna tell?" Kítra asked impatiently.

Fili's jaw practically dropped. "Why did you go to the dungeons?"

"I told you! I was bored!" She snapped, then her expression softened, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you. I just..." She hesitated, "I told Larson that Calium was talking to you guys sorta accidentally. I realize that I shouldn't have been talking to him in the first place."

"What did he say?" Fili asked.

Kítra shrugged, "He wanted to know what they were talking about and tried to grab me." She waved her hand vaguely in the air, "The guards stopped him."

"That was a stupid thing to do, Kítra. You shouldn't have gone down there. Calium says Larson is really dangerous." Fili vaguely scolded.

Kítra's eyes sparked with anger, "Well thank you for telling me that I'm stupid. I really appreciate it." She said sarcastically, "And he is guarded!" Kítra whirled around and stormed off. She was determined that, the next day, she would visit Larson again.

Fili shrugged and hurried to find the others. He explained that Kítra had been tired and she went to her room. When everyone was convinced, Dain sent everyone off to sleep. Fili, Kili, and Thorin each rested in a guest room while everyone went about their business.

Kili sighed and relaxed into a couch, "What do you think Larson and Calium are up to?" He asked, to no one in particular.

"I can tell you with utmost assurance, they are sitting down in the dungeons, doing nothing." Fili smirked.

Kili rolled his eyes, "Duh! But what are they planning to do?"

"Kili, just go to bed. Calium and his men will be gone in the morning." Fili insisted.

Kili sighed, "And that's part of the problem! If they were just heading home, then why so many men?"

Fili rolled over in his bed, "Don't worry about it! It's none of our business anymore."

"Yes it is!" Kili exclaimed, "I don't want them causing any funny business."

Fili sat up in bed, obviously irritated. "Kili! Just go to sleep and let Dain take care of it!"

Kili glared at Fili, "You are so...dumb!" He exclaimed, "Can't you see that they may cause us more trouble!"

"I can see that, brother!" Fili shouted. "But Dain knows what he's doing, so go. To. Sleep!"

Kili stormed out of the room, still glowering. "Kili!" Fili called after him. "Ugh!" He climbed out of bed and hurried after Kili. "Kili, wait!"

During this, Thorin was sound asleep in another guest room. He hadn't heard a word of the argument.

Kili started to run and quickly slipped around a corner, hoping Fili would not find him. Fili, too far away, did not see which direction Kili went. He skidded to a stop, looking around for his brother. "Kili!" He called, exasperatedly. Sighing, Fili gave up and went back to the room. "No since wasting good sleeping time if he's just gonna be a child." Fili muttered to himself.

When he came back to the room, Fili climbed in bed after closing the door.

Kili sighed and relaxed after Fili left. 'I shouldn't have gotten angry.' He thought to himself. Kili followed the passage awhile, wondering what was at the end of it. Kili walked along the passage for awhile, until suddenly he stepped out into the place where the prisoners were held. Kili wandered around the dungeon for a while, until he saw Larson's cell. Seeing Larson locked in his cell, Kili realized he should leave. He turned and walked back to the room where Fili and he were staying. Fili was sleeping, so Kili just slipped quietly into the room and into his bed.
