A yawn escapes from mouth, she covered her mouth and looks at Neil who was intensely watching the movie.

She poked his shoulder gaining his attention. He turns and looks at her with a frown on his face.

Neil : you okay?

Avni :I am feeling sleepy. I will go and sleep but...

Neil : but what!  Is there something stopping you to sleep?

Avni : I can't sleep without having an nightmares.

Neil taking the remote switched the tv off and looks at her.

Neil : It slipped out of my head. Make yourself comfortable in my room. I will be there. I will get you hot chocolate. You feel better after that.

Avni nodded her head and smiling to him and side hugging him ran up the stairs.

Its has been a week since that morning incident happened, in that week Neil discovered she got continuous nightmares making her startled whole night. Her nights sleepless till one day Neil thought staying with her.

He feels protective towards her. Neil told her to sleep in her room, though he explained what he meant before she freaks out. Luckily it had been working for both of them.

She hasn't been getting nightmares past few days when she is sleeping with Neil in his arms.

Neil went to kitchen and starts boiling milk, he then starts making hot chocolate.

Neil took the tray and starts walking up to his room.

He paused the door and enters inside to see Avni comfortably lying on his bed with duvet covering her till her chest.

Neil smiles and placing the tray on side table sat beside her.

Neil : Avni get up! Have hot chocolate.

Avni sat up leaning her head against headboard. Neil passed a cup and took his own.

Avni : thank you!

She thanked him and took a sip of the hot chocolate. Neil laughs his heart out seeing a moustache formed on Avni's mouth because of the hot chocolate.

Avni : why are you laughing?

Neil shook his head and moving closer with his thumb wipes it off making her body shivers at their closeness.

Neil moves back and keeping the cup aside turns back looking at Avni.

Neil : you sleep! I have some work to complete.

He got to leave but stopped as he felt her holding his wrist.

Avni : please stay with me! Don't leave me alone.

Neil : I won't leave you alone! Just little while you will find me beside you. I promise you.

She nodded her head and unwillingly let him go away from herself.

Avni laid back down and closing her eyes tried to sleep. Few minutes feeling his presence beside the bed she opens her eyes lightly and snuggling into his chest closed her eyes again.

Neil smiles and wraps his arms around her waist. He pecks hair and caressed it.

Neil turning the lights off and closed his eyes hugging Avni and allowing sleep over take him.

Next morning Avni opens her eyes and took few minutes to adore Neil's features. Untangling herself from his hold went back to her room.

Rushing back in her own room, she got freshen up and got dressed into formal attire. Once she was ready she headed downstairs and walks in kitchen to prepare breakfast for them as the maid was on leave few weeks.

Avni start preparing the breakfast when she remembered about Neil's coffee, she stops and making a cup of coffee rushed to his room.

She knocked and enters once she heard his voice. As she enters she shuts her eyes immediately and turned around.

Avni : Neil! Why are you naked?

Neil chuckles.

Neil : naked? I have towel around my waist. You want me to remove that. Do you?

She yelled at him.

Avni : Neil what is wrong with you? Get dressed!

Neil chuckles and not making uncomfortable got dressed.

Neil : you can turn around now! Don't be shy!

Avni sighs as she turns and saw him dressed.

Avni : your coffee!

Neil took the cup and took a sip.

Neil : thank you!

Avni smiles and went back to kitchen. Neil drank the coffee and getting ready headed downstairs.

He saw Avni setting up the table. He kept and offered to help her out but she refused it.

They both sat down and starts having their breakfast in silence.

The silence was broken by Neil's phone ringing. Neil took his phone out and puts the caller on speaker as he saw the caller id.

Neil : hello Bebe!

Bebe : hello Neil! When you come Delhi? You know what is tomorrow?

Neil's body stiffness hearing Bebe. He didn't say word. Avni who sitting beside him noticed his body posture and understood something was wrong with him. She with hesitation took the phone and spoke to Bebe.

She ended the call and placed a hand on his shoulder making him flinch.

Neil looks at her.

Avni : what happened? Are you okay?

Neil nodded his head and pushing his plate and getting up excused himself moving away from there.

Avni knew something was wrong with him. She had to find out the truth. She also didn't feel hungry. She pushed the plate and clears the dirty dishes.

She went out of the mansion and saw Neil sitting in the car waiting for her. She quickly walks to her sure and opening the door sat down.

Neil silently drove to the office.

Like usually Neil dropped her on same spot and drove off. Avni felt breath quickened.

She gripped her her fist and starts walking to office. She greets shivangi who returns the greet with a smile.

Avni : is Neil sir here?

Shivangi : no! He should be here soon.

Avni nodded her head and got worried where he could be.

She went to her desk and got settled. She starts walking when she heard few gossips around her.

" he won't come today"

"Why? Why won't he come today?"

" don't you know, he never attends office on these days. He never says the reason but he's absence. Even his Pa doesn't know"

"Oh! Could it be his girlfriend death anniversary or what?"

" no knows but I doubt it would be his girlfriend. He doesn't seem like to be in relationships. Have you seen his attitude and personality? No girl would fall love with him"

No matter how much she tried to avoid and not to be bothered their gossips, she couldn't stop herself from thinking. She wondered what could be his real reason.

Avni chucked her thoughts away and picking her phone dials his number. Her heart was pounding hardly. She couldn't help herself to worry about him.

His presence has been affecting too much that she never thought of.

She dials his number again when he didn't answer for the first time.

Avni : Neil where are you? Do you know how much I got worried? You haven't arrived yet? Where the hell are you? Speak up? You are making me and angry.

She bursted as he picks the call up not letting him speak or justify where he might be.

Neil : clam down Avni! Relax! Take a breath and listen to me. I am away..

Avni : yeah! I can see that. Where are you?

Neil : I am out! I can't tell you. I am okay. You don't be worried. I am okay. Please handle office in my absence.

Avni : Neil. I am asking you last time. Where are you? Don't hide from me. Let me in! You have be with me through my sorrows and pains. Let me be with you too. Share your pain with me. Please!

Neil sighs and didn't understand how to explain her but nevertheless told her something.

Neil : I am texting you address. Come whenever you want.

He ended the call making Avni stare the phone blankly.

Avni sighs and opens his message and saw the location where he is.

She shuts her everything and grabbing her bag rushed out of office not before informing shivangi.
