JIRAIYA AND HIS STUDENTS?!

I DO NOT OWN NARUTO

Whoever drew that probably hasn't watched the anime since everyone knows Naruto has blue eyes, not green eyes (-_-)

But hey, it's cute. Anyway, so I know I do this a lot but yolo :)

Okay, two rules before we start voting: 1. NO YAOI

                                                                                    2. NO HAREM

Now, on with the voting and please respect those rules. Last time I put the rules in people just went ahead and asked for yaoi ships anyway and sorry, but I don't write that sort of thing.

The next day, Naruto and Sasuke walked into the Academy, fully prepared for the graduation test.

Sasuke couldn't help but smirk as he noticed all the teachers in the Academy rubbing their eyes when they saw the blonde walking next to him, and he was sure they were wondering if their precious Fourth Hokage had been brought back to life, but in a child body. Which wouldn't make sense but Sasuke was hardly one to talk.

"What do you think the test will be on?" Naruto asked as he ignored all the gawking.

"Probably the Academy's three jutsu, shuriken throwing, kunai throwing and a taijutsu spar," Sasuke shrugged.

Naruto nodded. "And who do you think the other four are?"

"We were wondering the same thing."

The Uchiha brothers turned around to see Neji Hyuuga, Tenten and Lee standing behind them, the Hyuuga being the one who had spoken.

"Neji-san," Naruto greeted.

Neji nodded curtly to Naruto. "I take it you two are also taking the graduation exam today?"

Sasuke nodded. "That makes five of us, so who's the sixth?"

"Naruto, Sasuke!"

"That would be her," Naruto noted in an amused voice as a pinkette girl ran up to them, smiling largely.

"You two are taking the graduation exam as well?" she asked excitedly.

"Yeah, and so are these three," Naruto nodded as he jabbed his thumb over his shoulder at Neji, Tenten and Lee.

Tenten raised her eyebrow at the vague gesture but shrugged it off, proceeding to instead help Neji shut Lee up from shouting something along the lines of "such unyouthful youthfulness!"

Naruto chuckled at them. "You three would make a great team."

Simultaneously, their heads snapped towards the blonde who was unfazed at the incredulous stare, the glare and the star-struck eyes. The funny thing was that they didn't actually mind the idea of them being in a team - it was just their automatic reaction. Well, Neji's anyway.

Sasuke rolled his eyes and grabbed Naruto's elbow, taking him into the classroom with Sakura right behind them. Iruka, who was at his desk, literally dropped everything to stare at Naruto who was being literally dragged into the classroom and not making a single noise of protest.

"Hey Iruka-sensei," Sakura greeted, waving.

"Oh. . . hello Sakura. Sasuke. . . Naruto," Iruka greeted after seeing Naruto's almost-faded whisker marks.

Naruto waved back while Sasuke just kept stalking towards the desk, seemingly put off by something. Sakura giggled at Iruka's slightly stunned face and then asked him when they would be taking the graduation test.

"Ah, about that. You'll be taking it right after I take roll call," Iruka answered. "Normally you would just go through the Academy's three jutsu, but as you are graduating early you will take a different one. You have to demonstrate your accuracy kunai-throwing and shuriken-throwing and then spar against someone of my choosing, taijutsu and ninjutsu included."

Sakura nodded. "Thanks Iruka-sensei, I'll inform the boys."

Iruka nodded. "Now, not a word to the other students just yet. They have a history test today and I don't want them nagging to watch you perform," he said as he warily eyed the children filing into the classroom.

Sakura nodded again and trotted off to her boys who were talking rather animatedly about something. If she had to guess, she'd say they were predicting the other's results. She was proven wrong when arrived at their table and heard them strategizing about their spar for the test.

Fifteen minutes later, Iruka had settled the class, finished roll call and called the six students out to the training ground by the Academy. Ignoring the stares that varied from curiosity and envy, the six children calmly walked out of the classroom to where Itachi and Kakashi were waiting for them.

The Uchiha brothers raised their eyebrows but said nothing about it. Kakashi winked at Naruto and stepped forward to begin the test.

"I'm sure you all know why you're here - you've been selected to graduate early as you have shown promise to become a shinobi. My comrade and I are here to test you, and we are the ones who will confirm if you have the ability to pass or not."

Itachi then spoke. "We will start with an accuracy test, and you have provided you with ten kunai and ten shuriken. The order is as follows: Neji Hyuuga, Tenten, Lee, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uchiha."

Neji walked forward and picked up the kunai provided. He threw them three by three, until only one was left and he threw that by itself. The Hyuuga let out an annoyed "tch" when his last kunai was announced to be on the second ring.

Sasuke was fairly surprised that the immaculate prodigy from the Hyuuga branch had missed a perfect score. He knew Neji trained every day, maybe even harder than himself and Naruto.

Tenten followed with the same style, except she got all bullseyes. Sasuke wasn't surprised - Tenten was a Weapons Master back in his time.

Lee went for the standard way of throwing one by one. He wasn't as accurate as the rest of the former members of Team 9, scoring only second rings and third rings. One of them even went out to the black ring.

Sasuke pursed his lips. Lee was mostly known for being a master at taijutsu, taking after his sensei Might Gai as he did not have the ability to manipulate chakra to form jutsu. Now that he thought about it, Lee never did use any weapons, only his body.

Sakura then stepped up and glanced at Naruto, who smiled reassuringly at her. The pinkette inhaled through her mouth and exhaled through her nose. She held her ten kunai between her fingers in both hands, lifting her arms up to from a cross. Sakura repeated her breathing action and then her eyes snapped open and she threw them at once.

Sasuke smirked when all of them except two went into the bullseye, the other two in the third or fourth ring. Sakura was just as skilled and scary with taijutsu as she was in the original timeline, so he had tried training Sakura with senbon. Luckily for her, they had started her off on accuracy and working on the ability to throw multiple projectiles at once, which came in handy for this particular test.

Sasuke went up with an air of confidence and mentally debated whether or not to show them the trick Itachi had shown him and Naruto the week before. He shifted to look at Naruto who only smirked at him. Sasuke smirked as well. Damn blonde would be using that shuriken jutsu.

Sasuke decided 'to hell with it ' and took the kunai in his hands.

https://youtu.be/_cx5KrwVyc0

Naruto rolled his eyes. What a showoff. Not that he could actually say anything since he was going to use that jutsu too, but whatever. As Sasuke walked back, he subtly high-fived Naruto's hand as the blonde was going to the kunai pile.

Before Kakashi could say anything, Naruto jumped up into the air, the kunai between his fingers as he copied Sasuke perfectly, including all the bullseyes.

Itachi's mouth dropped slightly. It had taken him half a year to completely polish that jutsu, and his little brothers had done it just as well as he did it after a week! Was it a fluke, or were they truly prodigies?

Itachi shook his head mentally and noticed Naruto and Sasuke exchanging their trademark smirks with yet another one of their subtle high-fives. "Shuriken throwing," he called.

The results were more or less the same - Neji got a perfect score this time, Tenten got another perfect score, Lee did even worse, Sakura did better and Sasuke and Naruto? They just got perfect scores again using the same shuriken jutsu.

Kakashi glanced at Itachi who was twitching his eye violently, and gulped lightly. "Taijutsu sparring time!" he called hastily.

Naruto and Sasuke smirked for the hundred-and-tenth time that day. Yes, Kakashi, Itachi and Sakura had been keeping count.

"Let's see. . . first spar will be Neji vs. Naruto. Second spar will be Tenten vs. Sasuke. And last but not least, Lee vs. Sakura," Kakashi called out.

'I find it strangely interesting,' Sasuke mused, 'that the members of Team 9 are all facing off against a member of Team 7.

He shifted his onyx eyes to where his brother was leaning calmly on the wire fence. 'Naruto vs Neji? That'll be like the Chuunin Exams.

His gaze drifted to Tenten who was talking nervously to Neji. 'Poor Tenten might not stand a chance against me at the intensity of my training, but then again, she's a Weapons Mistress. She'll find a way to last long enough.

He then glanced at Lee who was walking around on his hands. 'Lee vs Sakura? There could not be a worse match. In the future, I probably would say they are equally matched, but Sakura is just beginning now. But she might surprise me, like she's done before.'

The Uchiha was drawn out of his thoughts when Kakashi called the first spar. Naruto and Neji walked calmly to the sparring area, the Hyuuga shifting into his Jyuuken stance while Naruto just stood there.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes slightly and then saw Naruto's eyes. To a normal observer, there was nothing that had changed in those blue orbs, but Sasuke knew Naruto better than anyone. He was calculating, formulating a plan.

Naruto's bright blue eyes assessed Neji's form. 'Frontal attacks won't work. The Hyuuga are known for their taijutsu style of blocking chakra points. I'm fairly sure Neji is also a prodigy in his own right, despite being a branch clan member. This might be a problem since I don't have a particular fighting style. . . damn Ke and I should've tried to work that out.'

Naruto glanced at Kakashi who merely looked back at him. 'I guess I could wing it and improvise since I've been training with jutsu. . . wait, that's it! I can use this opportunity to create my own fighting style! '

Naruto smiled and waited for Kakashi to start the spar. Kakashi raised an eyebrow at Naruto but said nothing, deciding to instead initiate the spar and see how things played out.

"Hajime!"

Naruto wasted no time and dashed forward, the only thing marking him being his blonde hair and orange jacket. Neji instantly activated his Byakugan, but he was still too slow to catch the right hook Naruto sent him.

Neji recovered quickly from the blow and tried to take advantage of the aftermath by twisting Naruto around to block a chakra point, but the blonde's instantaneous reflexes kicked in and he dodged, backflipping away.

Sasuke facepalmed at all the awed faces. Of course Naruto would try using his speed and reflexes. He was his father's son, after all.

Neji dashed forward to try and block Naruto's chakra points again but Naruto was simply too fast. The blonde dodged around in a smooth, fluid movement no matter how fast Neji's attacks came. It was infuriating the Hyuuga, and as every shinobi knows, anger blinds judgement.

Neji suddenly paused as he saw Naruto's hands moving into a seal, and he cursed himself as he realized Naruto had merely been dodging in the same place to distract him as he made a jutsu.

'Ram, Ox, Boar, Snake? ' Neji thought. 'What jutsu is he making? '

"Wood Style: Four Pillar Prison Technique!"

Neji was immediately trapped inside a small cage, his hands behind his back and tightly bound by wood. He tried to cut them with chakra but his hands were too far behind and it was holding fast. Neji only stopped struggling when he saw Naruto in front of the cage, smiling slightly.

Kakashi's eyes widened as Tenten's hands leapt to her mouth and Lee's jaw dropped. Sakura sighed and shook her head while rubbing the bridge of her nose. Sasuke and Itachi smacked their hands on their foreheads, groaning to whatever deity in the sky was willing to listen.

"I believe I win, Kaka-nii," Naruto said calmly, still holding the jutsu in place.

Kakashi coughed and nodded, causing the blonde to release the jutsu and then walk over to help Neji up.

Neji deactivated his Byakugan and held out a hand to Naruto, who chuckled and slapped his shoulder playfully.

"None of that, mister. We're friends now."

Neji blinked in surprise and slowly nodded, about to retract his hand when Naruto grabbed it and dragged him over to the waiting children.

"Yo, Ke!"

"You bloody idiot," Sasuke said bluntly as he poked Naruto's forehead. Naruto let go of Neji's hand and flicked Sasuke's forehead in retaliation, sparking a flick-poke war.

Itachi groaned, dreading having to go over and separate the two boys who were about to have a spar just because of the flick-poke. But in his brief moment of frustration, Naruto and Sasuke had both gotten so annoyed that they jumped back a little, blue forming in each of their hands. Their chakra was fluctuating so highly that it was affecting their environment. The dirt was flying and a wind was kicking up. The force was so strong that Sakura, Neji, Tenten and Lee had to bring their arms up to shield themselves.

Kakashi's eyes widened and he and Itachi dashed forward just as the jutsu had finished forming in the boys' hands.

The brothers were about to lunge at each other when the two ANBU grabbed each boy's wrists to stop them. Itachi had grabbed Naruto's hand and jerked it to the side, his grip still on his wrist as he took hold of Naruto's shoulder, Sharingan blazing. Kakashi took Sasuke's wrist and flung it to the side, pointing two fingers at Sasuke's chest with his own Sharingan blazing as well.

Neji, Tenten and Lee had almost stopped breathing when Kakashi and Itachi had launched in to stop the brothers' bickering from escalating into a full-blown spar with two obviously powerful jutsu. Were the two boys so strong that the two ANBU had to step in to stop them?

Neji was thanking whatever deity that was watching that his spar with Naruto had not gone too far, thus saving him from possibly facing that jutsu that the blonde had just created.

Sakura was pinching the bridge of her nose and was mentally swearing to beat the crap out of her boys for trying to attack each other on Academy grounds. After congratulating Naruto on succeeding with another Wood Style technique, of course.

There was a five-minute stare-down before the two jutsus finally dissipated and the Sharingan were deactivated.

Itachi sighed and patted Naruto's shoulder as Kakashi ruffled Sasuke's hair. The two boys were slightly disgruntled as they walked over to each other and did a simple fistbump as their way of saying "truce".

After a moment of talking, Kakashi called out, "Sasuke and Tenten, you're up!"

Tenten was fairly nervous after the Uchiha's display of power. Sasuke met Tenten in the sparring area and flashed her a quick, reassuring smile. Tenten wasn't sure if it meant he wouldn't harm her too badly or he wouldn't be using that much power. She was hoping it was the latter.

Sakura sidled over to Naruto and punched him hard in the arm causing him yell out in pain.

"Sakura-chan~" Naruto whined as he rubbed his shoulder.

"Serves you right," Sakura huffed as she propped her hands on her hips. "What were you two thinking, annoying each other to the point of having another one of your typical clashes? Oh that's right, you weren't!"

And she hit Naruto on the head again.

"OW!"

Sasuke rolled his eyes but immediately recoiled when Sakura glared at him and shook her fist in a message that even a moron would understand: "You're next."

The Uchiha shivered in fear, and Tenten couldn't help but smile. Just then, Kakashi started the spar so the brunette took advantage of the distracted boy and unsealed a barrage of weapons, sending them straight at the pale-skinned boy.

'Sh-t,' Sasuke thought as he noticed the onslaught of weapons flying towards him. He quickly reached into his pouch and pulled out some shuriken, letting them fly from his fingers.

'Ten? What is he thinking, he'll never get them all with only ten shuriken,' Tenten scoffed mentally. But her eyes widened when she noticed the shuriken going backwards and knocking out more and more weapons. Then her eyesight caught a glint of blue.

'Chakra strings?! '

Sasuke smirked as he weaved the shuriken around. He had taken the idea from the Sand's grand puppet masters, and so far it was working in his advantage every time he used it. The technique kept his opponent confused until they saw the blue, and it gave him the advantage of guiding his weapons to accuracy without wasting weapons.

Itachi was fairly impressed, to say the least. When did his little brother even learn how to control chakra strings?

Tenten gritted her teeth and unsealed even more weapons in hope to keep them coming and overwhelm the young Uchiha.

Sasuke merely smirked as he finished with the last of the weapons, another rain coming upon him. Taking a page out of Naruto's book, Sasuke dropped the chakra strings and paused to make a hand sign.

Two poofs and there were three Sasuke Uchihas.

All three threw ten shuriken each, chakra strings guiding the weapons around to knock out all the weapons that kept raining down on them endlessly.

'Damn, how many weapons does this girl have? ' Sasuke thought as he and his two Shadow Clones kept knocking weapons away. He flinched when a stray kunai nicked his cheek, and cursed at the overwhelming numbers.

Tenten nearly smiled when she saw the Uchiha was starting to get overwhelmed, but she was not prepared for when a kick was launched right at her back. The chakra signature alerted her only a millisecond before the attack happened, and Tenten only had enough time to spin around and raise her arms before the kick connected.

Tenten was sent flying back and she fell to the ground. She managed to get to her feet, wincing as she held her wrist.

Sasuke pursed his lips. Tenten's reflexes were good, but she could work on her sensory skills. And he might've put too much force in his kick. . .

Naruto and Sakura facepalmed. Evidently their friend/brother had forgotten that he was not sparring with people who were used to his chakra-enhanced taijutsu moves and trained just as intensely as he did.

And yes, both boys were annoying the heck out of Sakura.

"How the hell. . .?" Tenten squinted at the Sasuke in front of her, and then turned at a "poof" to find all three Sasuke destroyed by the weapon onslaught.

"Three Shadow Clones?"

Sasuke nodded. "I did a switch with a third that I created behind you."

The spar ended soon after as Tenten forfeited due to her probably broken wrist. Sakura had promptly taken the brunette aside to heal her wrist, and then proceeded to hit Sasuke on the head over and over again while yelling at him for forgetting that not everyone trained as intensely as he did. Needless to say, Sasuke was knocked out cold halfway through her lecture and he was sporting a thousand bumps on his head.

Poor guy.

A huffing, pissed-off Sakura then faced an over-enthusiastic Lee. The pinkette's mood did not improve when Lee started shouting something about "youthfulness", and it got even darker when Lee combined "youthful", "pink hair", "go out with me?" in one sentence.

A vein was bulging in Sakura's head by the time Lee was blowing multiple kisses towards her. Her dark aura sent Naruto and Sasuke hiding behind Itachi and Kakashi, respectively, and Tenten behind Neji, who wanted to hide behind his uncle but tried not to show how scared he was because he was well. . . a stoic, stuck-up Hyuuga.

As for the spar? Well, Sasuke and Naruto had to commend Lee for managing to stay five minutes against the "Hakai no Kunoichi", or the "Kunoichi of Destruction". Although she was more known affectionately as"Pinku no Akuma", or the "Pink Demon". The first name had been Sakura's title in the former future after she demolished half a battlefield and significantly lowered opposing numbers while doing so.

Although after five minutes Sakura had managed to land a crack at Lee and pretty much broke him. Naruto and Sasuke sweatdropped at the show of strength and annoyance. Sasuke cowered behind Kakashi as Naruto sighed, sticking his hands into his pockets and walking over to the pinkette who was still mad.

"Sakura-chan," he said quietly and almost immediately after the words left his lips, he smoothly tilted his head to the left to avoid the punch the pinkette had aimed at his face.

"I like my face unbruised, thank you Sakura-chan," he said calmly.

Sakura growled and cracked her knuckles. "What do you want Naruto? I've half made up my mind to pound you for going at Sasuke earlier with that jutsu I specifically forbade you to use unless you were in Training Ground 44 with only us three."

"Sorry, Sakura-chan. You know how carried away we get. Now, how about you heal Lee?"

"Lee?"

"The guy you just beat up because you were pissed at us."

Sakura blinked and then looked at the bruised and swollen boy who was lying unconscious on the floor, blood coming out of his open mouth which showed that quite a few teeth had been knocked out.

"Oh my Kami!" Sakura shrieked as she dropped to her knees and started healing the spandex-clad boy.

Naruto sweatdropped before half-turning and gesturing to Sasuke to come over. "Come on, you duckbutt. It's safe."

Sasuke hesitantly inched out from behind Kakashi and then walked casually over to Naruto as if he wasn't just cowering and hiding behind an ANBU and making his brother go calm down the girl he was scared of.

"I think those three are out of control," Tenten said nervously to Neji who couldn't help but feel inclined to agree.

After all, two of the village's strongest ANBU had to step in with their dojutsu activated to stop the two from clashing, and the chakra that pulsated through the area was insanely strong.

Neji gazed thoughtfully at the owner of the blonde mop of hair. Naruto had behaved rather unusually, seeming a very mature and calculating opponent when fighting, but showed to be rather trusting and eager to make friends, as shown after the spar. Then there was the side of him that got pissed off easily by a mere poke-flick war, and the maturity showed again when he calmed the girl that - he reluctantly admitted - scared the bejeebies out of him.

Neji shook his head. "Those three deserve to graduate more than we do. They're a year younger than us an managed to beat all three."

Tenten sighed and tilted her head to look at the Hyuuga. "Say, would it really be so bad to stay in the Academy for another few years?"

Neji glanced at the brunette at the side of his eyes and couldn't stop the small quirk of his lips. "I guess not."

Kakashi then walked over with his hands in his pockets. "Well, that was unexpected, wasn't it?"

"The victory of the three little midgets over the three older kids?" Tenten asked with amusement in her voice.

Kakashi chuckled. "Well. . . yes, I suppose."

"I guess they made Genin and we're being sent back to the Academy?" Neji asked.

"No, you three made Genin as well," Kakashi eye-smiled at them. "It wasn't about winning or getting perfect scores. It was about seeing if you were capable of handling yourselves in the shinobi life. And don't feel bad about losing to those three. They train ridiculously hard and honestly, I sometimes find myself quite scared by what their devious minds can come up with," the ANBU confessed.

"But anyway, all six of you pass. And I'm sure you can figure out who your teammates are on your own."

Kakashi gave them another eye-smile before walking off to help Naruto pull Sakura away from Sasuke who was, once again, cowering behind a sweatdropping Itachi.

After restraining Sakura from killing Sasuke and trying to calm her fury, the three children wandered aimlessly through Konoha, Sakura chomping angrily at her dango as Sasuke stuck closely to an amused Naruto, being very scared of Sakura as she was not fully calm yet.

"You know, for some reason, that looks a lot like your team, Fugaku," Mikoto quipped as she watched her children and their friend with amusement.

Fugaku "tch"ed and looked away, slightly red. In their childhood, Fugaku had often accidentally pissed Kushina off during his rivalry with Minato, and the picture that the pinkette, blonde and raven painted was exactly like the one Fugaku often found himself in. Minato and Fugaku never understood why Kushina got so mad until it all came clear when the redhead confessed she was in love with Minato.

"Oh, Fugaku-kun look at this."

Fugaku shifted his head to look at the four figures walking towards the village gates, and a smile spread across his face.

"This ought to be fun to watch."

《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》

"Sensei, are we there yet?"

"Patience, child."

"You're the same age as us, Nagato!"

"So? You act more like a child than the rest of us, right Konan?"

"Both you just shut up."

"Yes ma'am."

Jiraiya chuckled at his three students as Konoha neared in his sights. He couldn't wait to see how his sensei was doing, and how the village was.

"Like Nagato said, have patience Yahiko. We're nearly there," Jiraiya informed his orange-haired student.

"What are we doing here again, sensei?" the blue-haired girl asked.

"We're just here to check up on the village and a few of its inhabitants," he answered vaguely.

"Sensei, if "few of its inhabitants" means going to the bathhouse," the girl left her threat hanging as Jiraiya sweatdropped and Yahiko hid behind a sweatdropping Nagato.

"C-Calm down Konan-chan, geez," Jiraiya muttered under his breath. This time, he honestly didn't plan on checking out the bathhouse. He was going to Konoha so he could help his sensei get the Fifth Hokage's candidate back into the village.

"Halt, state your busi - oh, hello Jiraiya-sama," Kotetsu stuttered as Izumo snickered.

"Hey there Kotetsu, Izumo," Jiraiya greeted. "Don't worry about them, they're my students. I'm here to help Sarutobi-sensei on something."

The four of them were ushered into Konoha without a single problem, and Jiraiya couldn't help but grin at how easy it was. Back when there was a war raging on, you were literally interrogated before you could enter the gates. Although, that was war-time.

Jiraiya then went to the Hokage Tower to talk to his former sensei, leaving his three students in the middle of Konoha.

"Stupid sensei," Yahiko muttered under his breath.

"Hey!" a voice called.

The three of them snapped their heads to the left and saw three children walking towards them. Two had very oddly-coloured hair, while the third one had a. . . unique hairstyle.

"Are you three lost?" the blonde one asked kindly. He sweatdropped as the redheaded boy slapped the orange-haired boy's mouth as the girl stepped forward to reply.

"Yes, our sensei brought us here and then left us," she sighed.

"Well, my name is Naruto Uzumaki-Uchiha, and this is Sakura Haruno-Yamanaka," he gestured to the pinkette and then to the raven beside him, "and this idiot here is my adoptive brother, Sasuke Uchiha."

The redhead stopped slapping the orange-haired boy and stared at the blonde. "Did you just say. . . Uzumaki?"

Naruto nodded. "Yeah, that's my name."

The redhead seemed to be too stunned to say anything, and so was the orange-haired boy so the girl started speaking again.

"Well, my name is Konan, this is Nagato Uzumaki, and this idiot is Yahiko," she introduced.

Naruto nodded, but his eyes were fixed on Nagato. "So, you're an Uzumaki too?"

Nagato nodded. "From which side of your family did you get the Uzumaki genes?" he asked quietly.

"My mother, Kushina Uzumaki."

Nagato's eyes widened. "K-Kushina?"

"You've heard of her?"

"Heard of her? She was the Princess of the Whirlpool, the heiress to the Uzumaki clan. . . and my aunt."

Naruto's eyes widened. "That means. . ."

"You're my cousin?!" Nagato and Naruto cried at the same time, pointing at each other with incredulous expressions on their faces.

"I thought all the Uzumaki died out," Nagato said finally, still staring at Naruto in disbelief.

"I thought I didn't have any biological family members left," Naruto said, stunned to the point that he didn't recognize anything around him except for the redheaded boy in front of him who was in the same stage of disbelief.

Sasuke was confused. What were these three doing here? What happened to the Akatsuki? Sasuke knew they were Jiraiya's students from after the Three Legendary Sannin faced off against Hanzo, but it seems that in this timeline, Jiraiya decided to take them with him to the Leaf. Not that Sasuke minded, since that meant the Akatsuki wouldn't be created.

But what was Jiraiya doing back so early? If memory served him correctly, Jiraiya appeared when they were twelve, which meant he was five years early.

Sasuke was quite literally dragged out of his thoughts when Naruto took him by the elbow and dragged him into the conversation he was having with Yahiko, the two of them having hit off instantaneously.

Evidently the little "Uzumaki freaking out" show was over.

"You, my dear duckbutt brother, need to stop thinking and start socializing more," Naruto said bluntly, making Sasuke roll his eyes and Sakura snort from where she was talking with Konan.

Sasuke smiled slightly as Naruto's old personality started to shine throughout the conversation with Yahiko. Nagato and Sasuke started talking as well as they both had dojutsu and Sasuke had some "surprising" knowledge on the Rinnegan and how to use it properly.

《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》

"Mom? Dad?" Naruto called as he knocked on the door to the Hokage Tower.

"In here, sochi," Fugaku called.

Naruto opened the door and Konan, Yahiko, Nagato, Sakura and Sasuke filed in with him.

"Oh, hey Itachi. What are you guys doing here?" Sasuke asked.

"Sasuke, this is Jiraiya, one of the Legendary Sannin," the Third Hokage introduced. "I'm sure you and your brother have read up about him."

Sasuke snorted. "You bet, Old Man. That guy's one of the world's biggest perverts."

"Sasuke!" Sakura cried.

"He's not wrong, you know," Naruto sighed. "Right, Gramps?"

Sarutobi smiled. "Unfortunately, they're right Sakura. Each of the Sannin has their downfall and his just happens to be his extensive perverted-ness."

Sakura looked appalled as Naruto patted her shoulder sympathetically. Yet another innocent view of the Legendary Sannin was crushed.

"So what is the Super Pervert doing here, then?" Sasuke asked bluntly.

"That, I would like to know too, sensei," Nagato said as he and his friends looked at Jiraiya expectantly, who turned around to face them and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Eh. . . well, you see, Sarutobi-sensei wants to retire so I'm here to get the Fifth Hokage's candidate back into the village. Normally I'd just head out on my own, but sensei insisted that I take someone to go with me."

"I'll go," Naruto offered.

Jiraiya's mouth fell open as his eyes turned into big, white saucers. "MINATO?! YOU'RE ALIVE?!"

All the other occupants in the room except for Naruto and the Rain Trio burst into laughter. Yes, including the "emotionless" Uchiha males.

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Naruto asked in exasperation.

"Well, your hair is just like his and you grew it to the same length as his, and you got an orange version of Mina-kun's old clothes," Mikoto tried to explain without giggling but failed miserably.

Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily.

Jiraiya pursed his lips. "How old are you, kid?"

"Nine."

Jiraiya hesitated. "I don't know. . . he's not a fully-qualified shinobi yet, is he?"

Mikoto finally managed to calm herself and stood up to whisper something in the Sannin's ear.

Jiraiya's eyes widened momentarily before he nodded at the Uchiha clan head's wife.

"I'll take him with me."
