Day 69:

Sorry I haven't journaled in a while. I had an AP test on Thursday, so I was studying for that, and then nothing felt important. The whole year I've been building up to that test, and it feels weird for it to be over.

Finals are next week, if you can even call them that. Two of my classes are doing huge google form reviews, English is doing a Socratic seminar, and I don't think the rest are doing anything at all. It's hecking weird to not be insanely stressing out and study for finals.

For example, usually Memorial Day weekend is hectic stressing and not much fun. Today, we drove three hours to go to the beach. It was wonderful. There were so many people there, it was crazy. It was the most people I've seen in one place since this whole thing happened. Of course the setups were all at least 6 feet apart, and everyone stayed away from each other, but no one was wearing a mask, not even the rangers making sure social distancing was being followed. I'm very sunburnt, even though I applied sunscreen five times over the course of four hours.

For the first time in two and a half months, life felt almost normal. Almost.
