Day 63:
I went on a hike with my friend tonight, and we both brought towels to sit on at the top of a hill, watching the sunset. There was something very serene about a light breeze rippling the hills of grass, pink light illuminating fluffy clouds. As it got darker outside, the crickets' chirps and the frogs' belches got louder, and the lights of the town underneath us lit up. The stars slowly appeared as we laughed, six feet apart.
We told stories about how our lives have been, and the breeze grew into a chilly wind. Multiple times, we said to each other that "I would hug you if it wasn't literally illegal." I just want to cuddle up under the stars under the same blanket, sharing warmth of the body and of the heart, warming each other's souls with our presence together.
