Day 59:

     The end feels so close, yet so far away.  On one hand, it's been 59 days and there's only 17 left, but on the other hand, we still have a week and a half to spend cooped up in our houses.  I feel like once this is all over, I'm not going to see my family for a week cause I'll be spending so much time with my friends.

      I went on a beautiful hike today with my mom and it made me appreciate how big the world is.  It was up some hills near our house, and we've never been up there before because the trail entrance is kind of illegal-looking.  We finally went up because my mom saw someone walking up there and I'm so glad we did.  You could see two towns over through the entire valley.  You could see all the mountains and the clouds that hung out around the tops of them.  The sun had just set, so we could see the pink light reflecting off of the few clouds there were and it was just breathtaking.

     The plants were super pretty, too.  It was mostly long dried grass, but you could see these little intensely purple flowers peeping out every so often.  These huge old oak trees dotted the tops of each hill and they were beautiful framed against the pink sky.

    It was a really aesthetically pleasing experience, and it made me appreciate the little hidden beauties in life that you won't find if you don't explore.
