Dear journal,

     ok I haven't actually written in one of these since my parents divorce but now I need a friend and of course since I just moved from los Angeles to Danville...well...I need a friend and this was my only option so here I go...

My name is Isabella Garcia Shapiro, I am 13 and in 8th grade, very shy and dont talk much, so far Danville looks pretty decent but I still miss some of my old friends. I am currently enrolled in Danville middle school and truth is tomorrow is my first day and I'm terrified. I've always been an outgoing girl but in a new town, at a new school, my shyness surfaces and I become the shy girl once again. my mother always been so...chatty and I'm not, which isn't bad or anything, but I wish I were more like her.

         so basically I've been living here for a whole week and I'm embarrassed of anyone who says 'I'm buying a book on amazon'  why? well it's because back at my old school I use to be in this creative writing class and we wrote stories which was very fun until the teacher published our stories and made them into books. it was utterly embarrassing because my writing isn't so... magnificent...or eye catching, it's more of a you-read-and-forget kind of book and I'm also embarrassed that someone might read it and find out I'm the author which isn't good.

      anyway my mother is calling me for dinner, so wish me luck on the first day tomorrow and hopefully I won't make the world's biggest fool out of myself.
