After the destruction of Raven Rock and Adam's Air Force Base, the surviving Enclave members retreated back west to their base in Chicago where they would round up with the other members already stationed there. Once there, the survivors told them about what had occured in the Capital Wasteland and how they might be the only survivors from the attack. Being cautious and wanting to ensure their survival, they remained hidden within the ruins of Chicago and for two decades would attempt to regrow their strength back to what it once was before the Chosen One and The Lone Wanderer decided to ruin it all for them. Within the timeframe, they would develop a new set of power armor based off of their original advanced power armor (with modifications to ensure their efficiency) dubbed the X-03 power armor.

However, in the year 2297, they would take notice of the sudden increase in numbers of the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel and would grow worried that they would eventually discover their base and wipe them out. Wanting to ensure their survival, they sent out a small team of 30 out to Missouri to expand their numbers and to ensure their survival, having Abigail Autumn, Augustus Autumns younger sister, lead the expedition. What they dont know however, is that the Midwestern Brotherhood took notice of them and were following their trail.

In the game, they are located underneath the Capitol building of Jefferson City and is one of four major factions.
