No one
They found the being at a bus stop in New York City. This is the part of the story where the Author changes to point of view to another character for maximum story impact, so here we go.
She sat at the bus stop waiting for a ride to Somewhere. The Somewhere in this case being her sister's university.
In their life, every person (except for the exceptions) has a remarkable encounter, and she suspected that this was hers. At least, that's what she'd say in future. Let's get back to the present.
A person sits next to her and casually asks, "So- where would you be heading to?" So she does the classic thing and gives the intruder a stare. She was pretty sure she'd perfected the Back-Off stare to frightening levels, so it was a suprise that the stranger laughed.
"Good job," says the stranger encouragingly. "Never reveal you location to strangers. Call me No one. What's your name?"
Again, she just gives a stare, feeling like she was being tested. The Stranger, No one, laughs again and says, "Good, good. Never reveal your name, it's important. So can I call you by some name?"
At her nod of acquiescence, No one says, "Lego. I'm calling you Lego whether you like it or not. Every Lego piece is important to the structure, but not noticed. So you're a Lego." Which, all things considered, was sound reasoning, 'Lego' decided.
"Now," continues No one, "Do you have any idea how to go where you're going?" She did need a map, so she shook her head. What harm could come of it? A lot, yeah, but still.
"Oh really?" Says No one. Pulling out a map, they begin pointing out different roads and stops along a marked route. What was surprising was that the route ended at her sister's university, (which the Author shall refer to as Somewhere, due to creativity reasons).
Road map crash course finished, No one hands Lego the map and pulls out a bar of chocolate. "You want a piece?" And again, Lego shakes her head 'no'. And again No one laughs and out of a pocket, hands Lego some money.
"Never accept food from strangers, and never reveal that you don't know where you are going," they say. "You will get where you're going, but that's all the luck I can assure. I'll hope to never see you, and you should hope the same."
Which is kind of sad, seeing as Lego really sort of hopes to meet No one again. So, they ask, "Why?" To which, No one just says, "It doesn't make sense to be waiting for no one. I came here because you hoped to run into no one, and we won't meet again because I am no one, and you refuse to wait for no one." Which, again, makes sense.
So Lego finally asks if No one would wait for her. And the reply is, "No one waits for everyone." It was sad, but sort of made sense.
This is the part where the Author places a linebreak.
When Lego hopped off the bus, she saw three things. One, Somewhere. Two, her sister, Berlin. Three, No one. So it came as a suprise that Berlin steered her away from No one.
When questioned, all Berlin had to say was, "That person was in the room when our eldest sister died."
It suddenly made much more sense that the being hoped to never see her again. She hoped so aswell. That was sorta sad.
