"I'm so bored.." I pouted softly. "What do you want me to do about it?" Kakyoin raised a brow at me, a playful smile etched across his lips. "What do you think? Entertain me!" I whined, letting myself fall flat onto the sand where I was originally sitting.

Kakyoin sighed quite harshly, falling backwards to lay next to me. "It was your idea to come here, idiot.." He muttered, earning a small punch to his arm. "Don't call me an idiot! It was a good idea for a solid ten minutes.."

I was almost over my recent sickness, in the final stages of the nasty flu that Kakyoin and Jotaro helped me through. I had originally been bedridden for the past week, but in a state of guilt, he came to my rescue to take me to the beach. My mother will undoubtably berate me for sneaking out like that, but it was worth it.

Without surfing or swimming, sitting on the beach alone was proving to be quite boring. "I want to surf! It's the perfect weather for it!" I propped myself up using both my elbows to admire the view of the ocean. It was sunny out, paired with fairly strong but warm winds. The waves were higher than usual on days like these, and it was warm enough to spend the entire day out in the sea..

"No can do! Doctors orders." He tutted, standing to his feet. He scanned the beach in search of something fun to do, a little bored himself. And that's when he spotted something worthwhile. "He said you couldn't be in the water.. But he never said anything about staying on the water." Just what is he planning..?

"How much to rent two jet skis, sir?!" My eyes widened as I overheard him shout, peering over in the direction of his voice. He was approaching a man by the beach who was renting out fishing boats, jet skis, water skis and so on. ".. No way!" My mood had instantly perked up, so I catapulted off in his direction. How didn't we think of this before?!

"This has to be your best idea yet!" I grinned elatedly, accepting the set of keys from the owner of the rentable machines. "I've had plenty of other great ideas! Like taking you to the amusement park with your future hubby, for example." He smirked devilishly as blush unsubtly dusted across my cheeks. "Shut up!"

Kakyoin's eyes narrowed at the sight of me. "Did something else happen between you two?" I averted eye contact with him a little embarrassedly, choosing not to respond as he already knew me too well. There was no point in denying it. "(Y/n)! Tell me!" He demanded, crouching down so that his eyes would meet my (e/c) pair that were desperately trying to avoid him.

"If you don't tell me, I'll just go ask him myself!"

He pointed towards the upper half of the beach, where Jotaro idly sat in his usual space. "Don't you dare!" I growled, now glaring daggers at him. "Oh Jotaro-San!~" He sprinted off before I could utter another word. "Kakyoin..! Get back here!"

"Jotaro!" He finally reached the other end of the beach, catching his attention. He eyed him a little confusedly behind his his stoic expression, his eyes conveying it all. "How would you like to go jet skiing?" He offered, just as I had caught up to him, only to sigh of slight relief at the realisation of his bluff.

"No." He returned his attention to his newly borrowed book, which was to be expected. But Kakyoin's deflated expression as his friend turned him down so easily urged me to ask him again.

"You sure? We might end up seeing dolphins again on such a lovely day like this?" Kakyoin turned his gaze to me just as Jotaro did, Kakyoin's out of shock while Jotaro's was curious consideration.

"...fine." Kakyoin was left speechless as Jotaro began to pack up his things. "Meet here in ten minutes." And with that, he began to carry everything home.

"How did you do that?" Kakyoin turned to me once Jotaro was far enough away to not overhear, still gobsmacked. "How did I do what?" I smiled softly, feigning obliviousness. "You know what I'm talking about, (S/n)! Don't play dumb with me!" My smirk only grew wider as I continued the act, shrugging as if I was still unsure. "No idea what you're talking about."

"Safety first." Kakyoin helped me buckle up my lifejacket while Jotaro fixed his own. "I'm not going to fall off." I waved my hand at him dismissively once the last buckle clicked into place. "I know, but you can never be too sure." He flicked my nose, earning a soft grunt from me as I swatted his hand away. "Lets do this already!"

Jotaro had paid for his own while the two of us bickered, and was now seated on the light blue one before we had even chosen our own jet skis. "Hey! Wait up!" Kakyoin wailed over the sound of his engine roaring to life.

Kakyoin pounced at the opportunity to ride on a red one, leaving me with the only one left; yellow. I can see a pattern forming here..

"Let's see who wins this race now that we're equal." He teased, one eye closed in a playful wink as he revved up his engine, taking off before the keys to my ignition had even been turned. "Cheater!" I yelled after him, hurriedly trying to start mine up. It spluttered out water for a moment before the engine began to work, giving Kakyoin the perfect headstart. "Get back here!"

My jetski sped off faster than I had expected, but I grinned widely at this. There was much more power in them than I had anticipated. I used it to ride over the waves effortlessly, trying to avoid getting soaked by leaning my body into each jump. Kakyoin, in an effort to get farther ahead of me, was crashing through the waves rather than riding over them, which slowed his pace down considerably.

I smirked, revving my engine as he had done before to let him know I was close by. "H-how?!" Was all he managed to exclaim before my jetski crashed down into the water next to him, splashing him with a large wave of water. I laughed heartily, knowing that he couldn't get his revenge in the same way, otherwise I would get even more sick than before. And Kakyoin knew better than to douse me like that.

Jotaro was just ahead of me, riding over the waves like I was, but without shifting any of his weight to help him move faster. I caught up to him quite easily because of this. His eyes were dead set on the horizon ahead of him, quite obviously searching for any signs of dolphins swimming about.

Just then, the largest dolphin I'd ever seen had unexpectedly jumped over our heads. Jotaro got most of the splash against him while I only felt droplets drip down onto the top of my head. But I didn't care at that moment. I was so filled with shock and slight fright at the sheer size of the creature to notice.

"Amazing!" Kakyoin yanked the key out of his ignition, watching in awe as the dolphin glided through the water so smoothly around us. Jotaro and I followed his actions once we turned ours around, now facing Kakyoin head on. "Dolphins are a lot bigger than I expected." I gawked. Jotaro stayed quiet, but his widened eyes and slightly parted lips spoke volumes.

His eyes sparkled like I'd never seen before. They reminded me so much of waves crashing over one another on a bright summer's day, gentle mist flying gracefully in every direction like glitter, reflecting through his stunning orbs as the specks of sunlight shone against the water droplets falling around us.

Just then, I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of the dolphin jumping from the water again, this time heavily coating Kakyoin in the seawater instead. I couldn't help but laugh as he wasn't expecting it, grimacing hilariously as it happened. As I laughed at his misfortune, I could faintly see the smallest smile edging its way onto Jotaro's face, his eyes completely giving away his hidden contentment.
