Jost Adventures: Oman House (Night #2)

Tyson Jost Diary

September 26, 2020

Los Angeles, California

I'm casually walking through the basement. I split from EJ, G and Petey, because I thought maybe I could draw Tkachuk myself. Then if I needed help, I could just scream for them and they'd be there. (I didn't even entertain the thought of throwing out the option of using Petey.) I'm so wrapped up in my own thoughts that I don't even sense the Calgary Flame, until he is right up on me. An arm flings over my shoulder like I'm his best friend and I hear, "Listen closely to me, Avling."

I don't even know what the hell an Avling is. It sounds derogatory...perhaps some kind of young Avalanche player, which I know full well that I am not.

I spin my head around to him, focus a hard glare right into his eyes.

The curly haired Calgary Flame smugly looks back at me.

"What do you want Tkachuk?"

"I'm not here to kidnap you, if that's what you're worried about. Trust me, I reserve that kind of special treatment only for the Tkachuk Worthy."

"Like Elias Pettersson? Why do you have your arm draped around me like you're up to no good."

"Ah! See, rumor has it you can summon demons."

Oh, shit...this is what he wants? I roll my eyes and try to shrug him off of me. "So, what? Tell me where you took Gravy too?!"

"Not so fast. So, you're a medium for spirits. I watch Ghost Adventures and all that spooky stuff, so you can't tell me that you don't know what I am talking about."

I freeze in place and spin to him. I sigh and toss my eyes as I mutter, "What do you want? To talk to a dead ancestor in Hell?"

Tkachuk's grin twists darkly and a soft evil chuckle escapes from his throat. "Not exactly..."

My heart begins to pound and I can hear a soft voice in the back of my head, urging me to just drop it and run. Maybe I can scream. Afterall, backup is nearby (or SHOULD BE nearby). But a part of me -- the part controlling me -- remains utterly curious about what he wants (and to know exactly where Gravy is).

"I'd like you to create a portal, summon a demon for me. I'd like to sick that demon on Elias Pettersson. Perhaps you know him."

So it IS about Elias Pettersson. Wonderful. I snort and shake my head. "Not a chance. I don't summon demons for evil bastards from Calgary like yourself." I sidestep him and attempt to walk away.

Tkachuk chuckles and cuts me off, stepping into my pathway.

I frown at him. "I don't have time for this. Move, Tkachuk!"

"I don't think you're hearing me correctly, Jost. You ARE going to summon the demon for me to sick on Pettersson." His eyes flash with ice coldness and that wicked icy white glow is back to them and a frozen feeling soars across my skin.

"Look, it was an accident that I was able to summon on the show. I swear." I take a few steps backward, panic flooding through me and clouding my judgement.

"Yeah, it's an accident that you did on PURPOSE. Now, you have a choice, you can either willingly help me out..or...I'll have to force you to." Tkachuk smirks wickedly at me, tangles of his hair curling over his forehead.

My heart skips a beat and I open my mouth to try and retort something or answer him. But only a pathetic yelp comes out.

"Well..." Tkachuk urges. "What's it going to be?"

Mustering a little scrap of bravery from deep inside of me, I fight with the growing panic and snap, "Not on your life! I won't help you out with something so EVIL!" I throw my hands out and shove him backward, turning on my heels.

I begin to storm off, heading for the staircase, where I'd last left the others, when I hear a loud, echoing snapping noise. Then before I can react, two pairs of hands are gripping tightly to my arms. "Let me go!" I grunt out, jerking at the holds.

"Always the hard way, eh, Roasty Toasty Josty?" Sam Bennett's voice sneers in my ear.

I glimpse him and Ryan Reaves holding onto me and finding myself unable to speak again, I am dragged off, away from the direction of where Comphy is up the stairs (and away from help from the trio I was supposed to search with). We follow Tkachuk through a darkened hall and into a private suite room, which I recall seeing in Ghost Adventures.

It's the room where all the negative shit happened to poor Nick Groff.

Suddenly, I am shoved down into a wooden chair and my wrists and ankles are bound tightly in place by ropes. I snap my head up to look at Tkachuk, who is deviously amused by my struggle.

"I won't help you out!" I snap as I can see behind him a blanket of shadows, cloaking half the room in darkness.

"I was kind of hoping you'd say that," Tkachuk snarls at me.

I cock an eyebrow at him.

Tkachuk gestures behind him toward the shadows. After I'm secured to the chair, Bennett and Reaves storm off and vanish into the thick darkness outside the room. (Probably returning to the top floor of the house, before they're absence is noticed) I can hear squeaking and strange noises as well as a muffled screaming.

Once again, my heart skips a beat and panic fills me.

Soon Tkachuk wheels out a desk chair that has someone familiar tied to it. I can see his messy wavy dark brown hair, a jagged fresh cut searing the corner of his deep grayish-green, piercing eyes. A white cloth is tied around his head, muffling his speech, grunts and screams. His arms are pinned behind his back and tied tightly as I can see him shifting his upper body, trying to get free. And his ankles are bound together as well.

"Will you agree now?" Tkachuk sneers, his eyes glittering with mischievousness.

"Gravy..." is all I am able to get out. Welp, found him.

My eyes lock on Gravy's wide, scared ones as he jerks at the ropes holding him hostage.

"Just summon the demon for me to sick on Pettersson and I'll let both of you go."

I move my gaze to Tkachuk's and sigh. "Fine. You have a deal. I'll open the portal and summon the demon for you. But we have to find the right spot."

"Just sniff it out for me, Jost."

"It's not in here, I'll tell you that much," I say, formulating an idea in my head and controlling my panic. "We need to get to the...the ancient burial ground room."

Tkachuk nods. "Fine, I'll untie you, little curly headed demon summoner. But I'm going to bind your wrists together tightly. Graves, you're going to stay right there. We're only going right across the hall here for some fun!" Tkachuk remarks, throwing his hand up in the air with a flourish.

I feel him undoing the knots to me. I know I can't fight him as he's got more physicality than I do. It'll be a wasted effort. I have to wait for the right moment. Besides, my idea is going to be worth it to see. So I let him take command and wrap one of the ropes tightly around my wrists.

I see Gravy is jerking at the ropes around him, trying to get free.

And before I know it, I'm being forced after Tkachuk across the hall and into the room where the side of the hill has penetrated through the wall.

As soon as we are inside and the door is shut and locked, sealing us in. (Well, except for the secret emergency exit that they don't know about on the other side...hee-hee) I shrug the Flame off of me and pace around the room, looking for the portal spot, sensing the spiritual energy that would manifest.

I suppose he thought it smart to close and lock the door, leaving Gravy behind in the other creepy possession room. He forgot about everyone else lurking about, but I guess, since he's got my cooperation now, it doesn't matter much to him.

I reach out to the mound in the center of the room, holding out my bound wrists toward the area and look back over my shoulder. "Here." I snap my head back and whisper, "If you are there, make your presence known. I want you to possess the curly-headed Calgary Flame. Making him love."

Tkachuk darts over and shoves me aside. "Demon spawn spirit do as I command!"

I recover with a gasp and watch as a spiritual orb sails out of the top of the mound and zooms right for his head.

At the exact same time, the emergency door flies open.

A scrawny blond man races in, shouting out, "NO!"

He's brought an entourage with him. EJ, Nathan, G, Comphy, Brock, Clayton and Q burst into the room. I can see that they've found and rescued Gravy from the room too. The ropes are gone from him.

Just then, Reaves and Bennett surprise them from behind.

Tkachuk spins around, a strange, newfound softness to his blue eyes. The icy whiteness is gone. He looks...caring. He blinks and then looks at the newcomer blond man with a bizarre fondness.

I recognize him now as Elias Pettersson, the young Vancouver Canuck superstar.

I can't believe it worked!

"Petey, you look so...so...stunning today," Tkachuk says, batting his eyelashes and caressing Elias' face.

Oh shit...

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Petey snaps and swats at his hand. "I KNOW you were doing something sketchy! You kidnapped Gravy and were forcing Josty to do something that involved hurting me."

Tkachuk flicks his hand to the side, pressing his lips together, seductively. "That was sexy."

"You're--" Petey begins as the Calgary player jams his index finger up against his lips to stop him.

"Attractive?" Tkachuk inquires, running his free hand through his messy curls. "Good-looking? Charming? Pulchritudinous?"

"Pulcrit--what?!" Petey gasps behind the finger, unable to move, except blink his eyes in shock.

Tkachuk smiles and shifts his finger from Petey's lips to his chest. "Pulchritudinous, it's an adjective that is used to describe a person of breathtaking, no, heartbreaking beauty like myself."

"YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE ATTRACTIVE?" EJ bursts out laughing. "Don't make me laugh up a lung, Tkachuk!"

Tkachuk leans forward, clearly possessed by the lustful spirit that had entered him from the giant earth mound. He smashes his lips to Petey's.

Everyone in the room freezes, watching the awkward, one-sided gesture of affection.

"Get a room Tkachuk," Bennett growls out.

I can see that his nose is busted with blood and he is being held in place by EJ and Nathan. Reaves has fled the scene as I see him nowhere in sight. Comphy, G, Brock, Q and Clayton are standing to the side with Gravy.

"I can see that my passion is not being well received here," Tkachuk finally growls out as he steps back. "I LOVE Elias Pettersson. Are you just jealous that he's mine and not yours? Get your OWN Canuck!"

With that he snatches the stunned Petey by the wrist and yanks him off toward the second emergency door that leads out of the earth mound room. He halts by where Bennett is being held.

"For your information, Sam Bennett, we're going to go find a nice quiet, secluded room to make out in. Be jealous!"

With that, he storms out, dragging Petey behind him.

As soon as they are gone, everyone turns to me.

I shrug. "I opened the portal, but I never said it had demons in it. Oops."

"Tyson...Jost..." Bennett growls. "You're going to right this issue and return our evil asshole Tkachuk to us!!"
