Chapter 6
Chapter 6-
Arriving home just in time, I removed my shoes and sat on the couch. So much for having positive influences in my life.
Before I could let out a scream I heard the front door unlock, standing on my feet seeing Matt and mom coming inside, seeming fresh and joyful I put a small smile on my face. I greeted them, both hugged me warmly. It almost made me forget what happened until mom asked me what I did today. I told her I went to the mall, by myself.
Sunday night, Jim came over to have dinner with Matt, mom and me at the Outback Steakhouse. Conversations were about school and aspirations, we got to know each other better but my mind drifted to yesterday's events.
Seeing my ex again derailed my thoughts and feelings, I tuned out most of their words while picking at my mashed potatoes.
What the hell was he doing around town anyway? Did he think things would be back to normal.
Matt asked if I was OK, I nodded with a tight smile, brushing it off as we continued our meal.

Monday came quickly, the weather windy but sunny. Mom dropped me off in front of the school, saying goodbye I went straight to my locker to start the day.
"Jordan," I heard Shane's low voice behind the locker door. I moved it away seeing his pursed mouth and eyes emphatic.
"Yes," I responded, continuing to grab my books out.
"I'm sorry about Saturday."
"Not your fault, you didn't know." I shrugged shutting it close. He met my footsteps and we walked side by side through the hallway.
Silent and awkward Shane began to speak, I looked to him ready for his words but he clammed it back shut. Someone bumped into Shane's shoulder, almost tumbling over but he held his balance.
Kyle held onto Shane's shoulders and began bragging about another party last Saturday. "There was this hot chick that stripped on the dance floor, big tits and everything! Jason was throwing ones at her." I rolled my eyes at the mention of his name, he will never change.
"I've heard some great stories about you, Jordan," Kyle's tone suggestive to me.
"Really?" I responded sarcastically in a comical smile and wilted it down moving my steps forward.
"Yep. Jason calls you the crazy straw." It stopped when he said that loudly.
I turned facing him with squinted
eyes, "excuse me?"
"You, Ralph and Jason has some great threesomes, and that you were one of the most flexible girls he's met." My nostrils flared, Jason telling strangers about our past was one thing but spreading rumors about fake orgies, he crossed the line. My jaw clenched, pressing my nails to my palms a vein pulsing on my forehead I sighed releasing the tension before I explode.
"Ok," I replied tightly leaving both Kyle and Shane in the middle of the hallway. Releasing my fists I glanced at my palm, droplets of blood coming through I rubbed my hands wiping off the stain on my jeans.

During History class I started to drift off, twirling my pencil around to get my mind off Jason. I then wondered where Myra was. I haven't seen her since the party, Myra was pretty drunk, probably nursing a hangover.
Class ended, classmates were in front of me rushing out of the room. I took my time to leave wearing the straps one by one on my shoulders spotting Myra standing near the bathrooms.
She placed her hair in a neat ponytail. I walked quickly to her directions, "hey, Myra I haven't seen you since Friday. How are you?"
"It's kind of a blur," Myra's voice croaked, dark circles around her eyes she rubbed one of them tiredly, "I got real sick that weekend. I had to lie to my parents that I had stomach flu when they saw my face in the toilet. I begged them not to take me to the hospital so they took care of me."
"Oh, I'm sorry. Are you okay now?" I asked, patting her back slightly.
"Yeah I'm okay. Water and carbonated drinks for the time being." Myra smiled but it wilted down, "I've been hearing things about you lately."
We both halted our steps. "It's not true. Whatever you heard," I stated, trying to convince her, Myra looked to me shuffling her feet.
"Oh, good. You seem really nice."
"I try." Myra nudged my arm with hers playfully. I grinned and thanked her as we walked to our next class separately. At least she didn't press on about it.
She waved, "see ya later."
"See ya," I replied back.
"Did you check out Facebook? There's a Jordan page dedicated to her. All of her dirty laundry is out, even some of her nudes," I heard one of my classmates whisper to someone as I walked in. The boy with the faded haircut was scrolling through his phone to show the curly blonde sitting next to him.
"Wow," she gasped horrified, holding her hand on her mouth. I sat right next to the gossiping classmates. I saw the pics on their phone screen for a few seconds. It was me flashing my breasts to the camera. Obviously photoshopped, I didn't have a mole on my stomach and it was way too thin of a midriff. People were thoughtless.
"Shh." The guy motioned to the girl as they noticed me looking at them, they put their phones away.
"You shouldn't believe everything you hear. Plus if my dad finds out..." I shook my head and puffed my cheeks, "especially what happened to the last person."
"What?" The blonde girl frowned her arched eyebrows.
"You didn't know?" I leaned forward to whisper to them, "he's in the mob. So, be careful."
I flicked my eyebrows up like it was a fact. The girl scoffed but looked worried. she cleared her throat, turning off her phone before whispering to the boy. His face went pale when he glanced at me. I scoffed, idiots.
