Chapter Two
You took a deep, shaky breath in and exhaled. You sat back up and rubbed your eyes. Then, out of the corner of your eye you saw your bedroom mirror with you in it. You fully turned your head to face it and squinted at your reflection. God, you were a mess. You groaned and got a towel and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
You turn on the water, strip yourself and step in. As you started to wash your hair, you also started to really think through the whole Jonathan situation. You guess it could've been that you two stopped hanging out, but you still talked to each other in the hallways and stuff and considered him as a friend. Jonathan would've known that, right? He was a smart kid before all of that weird stuff with him started happening. What was it anyway? Like bipolar disorder or depression? It must've been whatever was going on then that made him snap, right? Yeah, you guess. He just couldn't take what was going on in his mind and the only way- th- that was the only way to escape it.
You stepped out and wrapped yourself in a towel. You walked back to your room with a major weight lifted off your shoulders. You never knew why, but thoroughly thinking through the problem at hand always made you feel better. You were always a logical person who liked to think things through. Jonny kept joking saying that you had OCD. It was funny how you two were totally different yet made the perfect team. Opposites attract you guess.
You stepped into your room and closed the door behind you. You then started to get into some jeans and your favorite T-shirt. Sitting down at you desk, you grabbed a brush and started to brush through your wet hair. You feel a sudden sting or pull on your scalp. Ugh, a knot. Sometimes you wished that you didn't have any hair. You tugged at the tangled hair two or three more times. Annnd the brush is stuck... just great.
You took one more large yank to the brush as it came out along with the not. You made a sharp, quick gasp and shut your eyes. "Yikes, that looks like it hurt." Looking up at the mirror on your desk, you saw a person in your room. You shrieked and jumped up from the chair turning around to look at... him?
He had brown hair that covered most of his face with a red hat with yellow stars on the side. He also had a brown vest over his blue t shirt, but something purple was coming out the bottom of the vest. Was that a skirt? Under the purple thing was a pair of ripped jeans, and striped sock. Yikes. They had a bad taste in fashion.
I guess you must've been staring at them for a little while because he started to walk towards you slightly concerned. "Are- are you okay?" he tilted their head to the side and looked at you with big eyes. You took a couple steps back until you walked into your desk and your mirror started to fall. You both grabbed at it with quick reflexes and put it back in its proper place. Then you two turned towards each other, only around two feet separating both of you. There was what felt like a long silence. Finally you took a deep breath and and looked at him straight in his almost neon green eyes. "Who are you, and how did you get in here?" you asked trying to stop your voice from shaking.
"Oh, yeah, that." he rubbed the back of their neck with their hand chuckling. "My name is Sock." he extend his free hand for you to shake with a goofy grin across his face.
"And I'm a demon."
