~Prelude~
Alice in Wonderland
How do you get to Wonderland
Over the hill or underland
Or just behind the tree
When clouds go rolling by
They roll away and leave the sky
Where is the land beyond the eye
That people cannot see
Where can it be
Where do stars go
Where is the crescent moon
They must be somewhere in the sunny afternoon
Alice in Wonderland
Where is the path to Wonderland
Over the hill or here or there
I wonder where

(Y/N)'s POV
I sighed I closed my book, leaning back against the tree I rested upon. I looked down at the bruises I never bothered covering up.
Sure I am clumsy, but these bruises were far different. They're from Father, and I hated him with every fiber of my being.
I cannot remember when the abuse started. It just.... Happened. And it's been that way ever since.
I looked at the pond that glistened before me. I ached to feel that cool water against my burning skin, but Father would be furious. Telling me how I, (Y/N) Liddell would end up just like my mother one day.
"Curiosity didn't kill the cat. It killed your mother instead."
That's what I've been told my whole life, and I believed it. I never knew her growing up. She was long dead.
I was told to never imagine, never dream...
Because that's what killed my mother.
Her fantasies lead her to her own demise.
I was forced to study constantly, kept busy at all hours from dawn til dusk. And if I was caught "slacking," Father gave it to me.
Angrily, I tossed my book to the side, "UGH!!! I HATE IT HERE!!! I JUST WANT TO LEAVE!!! OR DIE!!! JUST BE WITH MOTHER AGAIN!!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?!?!"
I kicked at the dirt beneath my feet, spitting on the ground in disgust, cursing my Father's name. I groaned and knew that Father would beat me once more if I'm out for too long.
I then walked to where my book was...
To find a boy with rabbit ears holding my book.
I gasped at the sight. His blue eyes looked into mine and he tilted his head a bit.
"Alice?", he whispered.
I shook my head, "No... S-Sorry.... I'm not Alice."
The bunny boy just smiled happily, "Alice! Come on! Follow me! We're late!" And with that he ran off.
I stood there dumbfounded before running after him, "H-Hey wait! Hold on a minute!"
I chased the bunny boy into the woods. And oh boy was he quick. I had to lift my skirt up a bit to keep myself from slipping.
But slip I did...
Right into a rabbit hole...
Oh dear, I think this is the part where curiosity kills me.
