Your POV
I had been taking out my frustration out on my writing journal. I wrote lyric after lyric, hoping to make a song. Finally, after hours and hours if ferocious scribbling, I had made one. I smiled as tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I looked at the sheet of paper in my hands. I've written songs before but this one really stood out to me.
I set the music down and walked out of my office and into the living room. Johnny was sitting on the couch and his eyes met mine when he heard me enter.
"Hey (y/n)."
"Hey, Johnny, sorry for getting all emotional before."
"It's okay, but if you don't mind me askin', what happened?"
"Well, I've always wanted to join this one music company so I sent them a letter and a video of me singing a cover, then they rejected me saying 'I'm not what their looking for', I guess."
"Come here," He said, holding his arms out. I slowly walked into his arms and hugged him. We haven't hugged before, and it felt really nice.
"Thanks, Johnny," I smiled as I pulled away.
"Anytime." He smiled back
Time skip to the middle of the night...
I was laying in my bed, watching the movie Sing as I ate popcorn. It seemed oddly familiar. I realized it was just like the night Johnny appeared, and suddenly I was standing on the opposite side of the room, watching myself laying in my bed.
"I wish Johnny was here." The words were suddenly spoken, in my voice. I realized they were the thoughts that I had when I got to the concert part of the movie.
Suddenly a blue light started to appear around me. I watched myself look up in surprise until the light got too bright. Just as I thought it would be the time that Johnny would suddenly appear in my place, I woke up.
I woke up suddenly and quickly. My dream was so realistic, so real. It made it seem like I had brought a Johnny here, but that wasn't possible, was it?
"Johnny!" I said in a harsh whisper, trying to wake him up as fast as I could.
"What's wrong?" Johnny asked, awake and rubbing his eyes.
"I-I thunk I know how you got here."
He sat up quickly, now awake. "What?"
"I know it was just a dream... but it was so real."
"What was?"
"I had a dream and it made it seem like I brought you here."
"But how?"
"I don't know—I mean, I wished it but..." I closed my eyes. I feel like this was something I had to show instead of explain
I wish Johnny could go home, I thought, not sure if it was going to work.
Suddenly blue light flooded my room, in the same spot it appeared when Johnny came
"Will that bring me home?" He asked, looking from me to the portal in surprise.
"I think so," I admitted. We were both silent for a moment, but I broke the silence: "You should get back, everyone is probably wondering where you went."
Why did I suddenly feel so sad; this was for the best, right?
"Y-yeah."
I slowly got up and hugged Johnny. "I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too."
"Can I bring you back to visit?"
"Of course."
"Well I should probably go and explain to them why I was gone for a week," He said, pulling away.
"Yeah."
"Bye, (y/n)."
"Bye, Johnny." I said as he walked into the portal, disappearing from sight as the light went away.
What we didn't know was that time worked differently between our two universes, and while he may have been here for only a few weeks, at home, he had been gone for a few months.
