Tonto 2.
My family had always warned me about betrayal and that it could come in any form and from anyone,I just didn't expect it too come from my own parents. I had just returned home and I overheard my parents discussing me. At first I thought they where talking about an arranged marriage, but they where in fact talk about selling me to becoming a prostitue. I'm not the most beautiful person woman ever, not am I the ugliest but the thought of selling my body,it turns stomach. The only thing I could do is run away from home.
When my parents had gone to bed that night,I gathered what little things I could carry and left my family home for good. I didn't really know where to go so I headed towards where the sun had set hours ago. I slept in a cave when I had made sure I was far enough from home. I set off the next day not sure of where to go,the rest of my family where elsewhere as my parents and I had moved west some time ago. To go and find anyone else,I would need more money and for that I need a job. Now I can kind of understand why my parents wanted to sell me,but that still doesn't make it right.
I should have guessed my parents wouldn't let me go that easily,as not to far into my journey today, did I see servants of my family. I tried to run but the two men have horses and I couldn't out run them for long. Soon enough they caught up to me and tied me and they made camp. They then left me there and headed back to town,I guess they thought because I am tied up I wouldn't get away but I can still talk.
"Hello" I called" Is there anyone out there?" The silence didn't answer,I didn't give up though " Please if anyone can hear me,I need help?"
The silence of the night air is broken by the sound of approaching footsteps, not horse but a person. I waited quietly watching to see who it was. It could be one of the servants come back or an outlaw. Soon enough I got my answer,it was a native man with bird on his head. He held a tomahawk axe in his hand,he stopped in his tracks upon seeing me. I watched fearful, unsure what this man would do
"Are you alone?" The man asked me
"Y-yes" I said my voice croaked as I hadn't drunk in hours " Are you going to help me?"
"Yes,no one should be alone in the desert " the man said walking over to me,he returned his axe to his belt and drew small knife and freed me from the ropes the held me
"Thank so much" I said carefully getting to my feet
"Why here?" The man asked in broken English
"It's a long story"I said, before anything else is said a man in a white cowboy hat and mask joined us
"Tonto what is going on here?" The man asked,so my hero is called Tonto.
"Found woman" Tonto said indicating me
"I'm sorry did you say you found a woman?" The man in the mask asked
"That's what he said" I said speaking up
"What are you doing out here Miss?" The cowboy asked me
"My parents wanted to sell me as a lady of the night,so I ran away and got caught by servants" I said
"Come let's go" Tonto said taking ahold of my arm and leading me away from the camp
"Wait a moment Tonto" the other man said, but the native man ignored him and lead me to two waiting horese. One white and the other brown. Tonto lead me to the brown horse and we both got onto it's back
"What's with the mask?" I asked the other guy.
"Why does everyone ask me that?" The man said
"Him ugly, that why he wear mask" Tonto said,I giggled at his blunt answer and the look of horror on the other guys face
"I'm Y/n by the way" I said to Tonto mostly,he seemed the more likeable of the two
"Pretty name" Tonto said
"And I'm the lone ranger?" The guy in the mask said
"Your the who now?" I said confused, the lone ranger looked at me like I had lost my mind
"Let's go" the ranger said with a huff,as he urged his horse to walk.
I didn't ask the two men to take me home after I had been saved, but seeing as I had no place else to go. I decided to stay with them,Tonto and I got along really well but John or the ranger,he was rather awkward to be around. Which is fine with me as I prefer the company of Tonto more. John says that he is crazy,as he tires to feed a dead bird, but I think he's rather good looking. I simply love the way he talks, blunt and honest and sometimes funny with it. When I talked with Tonto it is like we are the only two in the world, and the illusion is only broken when John speaks.
Who would have thought that my parents betrayal would lead me to meeting the most wonderful man I had ever met,and unfortunately one of the most weird too.
