SIXTY EIGHT
Austin smiles as he handed John a plate of food. Since it was late morning, the meal was chicken and waffles.
"Thanks, how's your cold?" John asks and Austin sighed as he sat beside him.
"Still here but it's just a headache now and of course some coughing."
"Alright, I'll get some meds for you before I leave"
Austin frowned.
"Leave? Why? I thought we'd spend the day together"
"I'd love to but I have a fashion show to walk in Italy tomorrow"
Austin sighed. Was this the life of a model? Couldn't be him.
"Okay, take pictures for me okay"
"You got it baby cakes"
Someone cleared their throat and Austin gasped in horror once he looked up. He forgot his mother was here! She must have heard them in the kitchen!!
"Mom..."
She sighed.
"Don't worry about it. So you two are back together now?"
Austin and John look at each other. John smiles and holds Austin's hand.
"Yes. Yes we are"
She nodded.
"Alright then. Next time be a little quieter....incase there's someone else in the house"
Austin hid behind John, pressing his forehead on the man's back. He hasn't been this embarrassed since his father taught him the bird and the bees.
"Okay mom"

Jack and Dave get out of Jack's car, crossing the street and heading inside a Swarovski store. They find Victoria at a table, champagne in hand while she inspected a few neck pieces.
"Hey Auntie" Dave says with a smile, she smiles at them.
"Glad you two can make it. So tell me, what do you think about this?" She asks and slides the case to Dave once they had sat down.
The diamonds glared from the sunlight, the necklace set was gorgeous. He runs his fingers along the stones.
"It's beautiful. What's the occasion?"
"Lauryn's birthday is coming up so I thought I'd buy her something"
Dave nodded and sighed.
"In that case you shouldn't get her this. This necklace set is not functional for day to day activities. Get a simple one instead."
She frowned.
"But this is the most expensive one here"
Jack chuckled.
"The price doesn't matter. It's the thought that counts. Think about Lauryn, what does she like?" He asked.
"Well....she likes animals, swans to be exact"
Dave snapped his fingers.
"Get her a pendant. It's elegant but functional"
The clerk brings up some swan pendants and one caught Victoria's eye. The swan had a sapphire stone in the middle so it was going to be an eye catcher. She smiles.
"This one"
Dave smiled at his aunt. It was refreshing to see her like this, she lives a fabulous life but seeing her appreciate the small things was a nice sight to see.
"Lauryn is all set. Now time for me, bring me all the rings you have"
Dave and Jack chuckle. The rings arrive and Victoria tries them all. Dave grabs one and slides it on his middle finger.
"This is so heavy"
Jack held his hand and removed the ring. He eyes the engagement ring he had bought for Dave months ago.
"Do you want an upgrade? This one was bought because of rushing"
Dave shrugged.
"I like it. It's big but not too heavy. It just needs a polish and a small pearl next to the stone"
Jack smirked.
"That may be true but I still feel you need an upgrade, I'll think of something"
"Okay okay enough about the rings. How is the wedding coming along?" Victoria asks.
"Everything is set. Jack sent the invites and we're waiting for the big day"
"How many days are left?"
Dave did some quick math and gasps.
"Three weeks!"

"Call me when you land okay?"
John nods and gives Austin a kiss. They both moan and Austin pulls away, face flushed.
"See you later John"
John holds him by the chin, gives him a quick peck before walking away. Austin sighed, watching John get in his car and drove away.
"Are you going to miss him?"
He turns to his mother and smiles.
"Of course"
"Good. If you miss him then you really care about him. Let me take you shopping, your wardrobe is outdated"
Austin frowns and looks at his clothes.
"Hey, my style is fine"
"I know honey but your tshirts are losing colour, let's go"
•°• ✾ •°•
"Three weeks huh"
Dave nodded. Did two months really pass by that quick?!
"Where did the time go? It just seemed like yesterday"
Jack pats him on the knee before grabbing the wheel with two hands.
"What do you want for lunch?" Jack asks.
"Your mother sent me a shrimp congee recipe, so I'm going to make that."
"Sounds good. Your father has set up a meeting with your family lawyer and mine. We should go"
"When is it?"
"In two days"
Dave sighed. The whole prenuptial agreement thing was just unnecessar but seeing how Jack was adamant on getting one, he'll just go along with it.
Before he knew it, they had arrived back home. They get out and Dave frowned.
"Hey babe"
"Yeah?"
"You should completely move in. Add a few items of yours in the house"
"Are you sure? Your house has an aesthetic of it's own"
Dave chuckles.
"Babe, this will be our house and soon our kids will be here. Add your things and we'll see from there"
"Okay"
They head inside the house and Jack coughed, Dave rubbed his back.
"Go lay down, I'll make you some congee"
"You spoil me"
"You deserve it, lotus root"
Jack blushed and playfully pushed him away before going upstairs. Dave laughed and made his way to the kitchen.
He hums as he cooked, a song comes to his mind and he smiles, grabs a piece of paper and a pen and started to write a few lines. The feeling these lyrics brought out of him made him excited to see Jack's face when he said them back to him.
"Wedding vows, done. What's left is to walk down the aisle"
