August 24th, 2021

Today has been a peaceful Tuesday at the White House.

Jill, Jacob and Major have been hanging out and enjoying the beautiful summer day with Hunter, Beau and Melissa while Joe is in the Oval Office getting some much needed work done.

Joe hasn't been in the Oval Office since before he and Jill went to Camp David for vacation.

Right now, Hunter and Melissa are taking a nap on the couch, still experiencing some jet lag. Beau was sleeping too but he woke up and is quietly watching a cartoon on the TV.

Meanwhile upstairs, Jill is getting Jacob changed into a new outfit and in a fresh diaper. Jill decided she wants to visit Joe at the Oval Office with Jacob. Jacob has never visited the Oval Office before!

Jill also really misses Joe. She and Joe have been together all day everyday for the past almost three weeks and she isn't used to him having to go into the office to work.

"Jakey, are you ready to see Daddy at work? Let's go see Daddy!" Jill says in a babyfied voice as she and Jacob leave the master bedroom and carefully and slowly go down the steps one by one.

The steps are still a painful thing for Jill to do since her incision is still healing, but it is getting better day by day. Jill walks over to the brand new stroller that Hunter just put together for his parents and Jill carefully puts Jacob inside of it.

*Jacob's stroller*

"There you go, baby. All nice and comfy in your brand new stroller that your Aunt Val got for you! Yeah!" Jill says in a soft babyfied voice at Jacob, covering him up with his blue blanket with dogs on it.

Jill slowly pushes the stroller out of the resident so Hunter and Melissa don't hear her, she doesn't want them yelling at her for leaving the residence.

"Now we are leaving the residence, Jakey! We will soon see, Daddy! Yes we will!" Jill says to Jacob and bends over into the stroller and strokes his cheek with her thumb.

Jill then hears small light footsteps behind her when she stops to adjust Jacob's onesie. Jill turns around and sees Beau standing behind her.

"Hi, Beauy! What are you doing here? Why aren't you with your Mommy and Daddy?" Jill asks Beau and strokes his head, playing with Beau's long hair.

*Beau's outfit*

"Nana ba ba!" Beau responds happily, pointing at Jacob in the stroller.

"Yes, Beauy! I am taking Jacob for a little walk to Pop who is in his office right now!" Jill says and she bends down to Beau's level, instantly feeling a stabbing pain in her incision.

Jill wrinkles her face at the intense pain and Beau frowns at seeing his Nana in pain.

"Nana?" Beau says with worried eyes as she hugs Jill, causing Jill to awe at him.

"I'm alright sweetie. I'm okay. I'm just a bit sore, okay?" Jill says and kisses Beau on the head and Beau smiles at Jill.

"Do you want to come with me and Jacob to visit Pop?" Jill asks Beau and he nods.

"Yeah! Pop! Nana! Pop!" Beau squeals and takes Jill's hand.

"Good boy for holding my hand! It's not that far of a walk! Let's go!" Jill says as Beau giggles.

"Walk walk walk!" Beau says as he let's go of Jill's hand and walks right next to her.

Jill quietly prays that she doesn't have to carry Beau over to the Oval Office because he is a chunky little guy and he just started to walk a few months ago.

Jill then thinks where could Hunter and Melissa be but she just assumes that Hunter and Melissa are probably sleeping. Jill knows that Hunter and Melissa are extremely attentive parents and wouldn't let Beau wander anywhere. 

"Woah!" Beau says loudly, looking at all of the different pictures and decorations on the White House walls.

"This is a fun walk, isn't it? Walk next to me, okay?" Jill says as Beau walks back over to Jill, staying close to her side.

Jacob peacefully sleeps during this entire walk, which Jill finds extremely adorable.

"Nana! Ja cob!" Beau says, pointing at the stroller and smiles at Jacob and then at Jill.

"That's right! Great job, Beauy!" Jill says with big smile at Beau.

"Ja cob seeeep, Nana?" Beau asks Jill and she happily nods at him.

"Yes, Jacob is sleeping! Babies need a lot of sleep! Just like you did and still do, Beauy!" Jill says to Beau as she strokes Beau's curly hair as they finally make it to the Oval Office!

Beau's little smile grows even larger as he recognizes the offices near the Oval Office!

"Do you recognize this place, Beauy? Do you know we are close to Pop's office now, don't you?" Jill says and smiles at Beau's happy face.

"Yes! Pop! Pop! Pop!" Beau squeals as they walk up to the Oval Office door.

"Do you want to knock on the door for me, Beauy?" Jill asks Beau as she parks the stroller outside the door.

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Beau says and makes a few little knocks on the door.

Jill, Jacob and Beau don't hear anything from the Oval Office, so Jill encourages Beau to knock again.

"Try a little harder, Beauy. I don't think Pop heard you." Jill says as she softly pats Beau's back.

Beau looks up at Jill before he tries again, this time hitting the door a bit harder with his little knuckles.

Joe can hear mumbling outside the door but isn't sure if it is Jill or just a staffer. Joe remains in his seat until he hears little knocks on the door.

"Come in!" Joe says loudly and Jill helps Beau to open the large door.

Joe is reading some important documents with his reading glasses on.

Jill slowly opens the Oval Office door and she, Jacob and Beau all walk inside to see Joe!

Jill pushes a sleeping Jacob in the stroller while Beau walks with Jill.

"Go ahead and see, Pop! Go ahead!" Jill whispers to Beau and Beau cheers loudly. 

"POP POP! POP!" Beau yells loudly as he runs over to Joe.

Joe looks up from the important documents and he sees Beau running over to him.

"Hi, Beau! Hi! Come here, bud!" Joe says happily to Beau as he takes his reading glasses off and puts the documents down on his desk.

Joe picks up Beau and sits him on his lap, kissing the one year old's cheek.

"Nana! Ja cob!" Beau says to Joe as he points at Jill walking over with Jacob in the stroller.

"Hi, Daddy!" Jill says as she walks over to Joe and she parks Jacob's stroller right next to Joe's desk.

"Hi, baby! I am so glad to see you! But what in the world are you doing out of bed? You should be resting, Jilly." Joe says as he stands up with Beau in his arms to greet Jill with a big kiss.

"I just needed to get out of the bedroom and out of the residence. It feels like I've been nothing but in bed for the last week." Jill says with a sigh, resting her hand on Joe's arm.

"It's because you need it, Jilly. Your body needs to heal." Joe says, caressing Jill's cheek with his thumb, causing Jill to smile.

"But I am very happy you brought Jacob to see me. I've been missing my little guy." Joe says and bends down to Jacob in the stroller.

"Hi, buddy! Yeah! Hi, Jakey! I love you my sweet baby boy!" Joe says in babyfied voice, still with Beau on his hip.

Jacob slowly opens his eyes and squiggles around in the stroller, cooing at the sound of Joe's voice.

"Someone seems to have missed their Daddy too." Jill says, dipping her arms into the stroller to pick Jacob up.

"Hi, Daddy! I missed you." Jill says as she places Jacob in her arms and uses his little hand to wave at Joe.

Joe chuckles at Jill's playfulness and gives her a kiss on the cheek.

"Let's sit down, baby. You shouldn't stand and walk around like this." Joe says and ushers Jill towards the sofas.

"Pop chair!" Beau says and points at Joe's desk chair.

"Yeah, that's Pop's chair! But let's sit down on the sofa, it is more comfortable." Joe says and gives Beau a kiss on the head.

"Joe, I'm fine, honey. The doctor said I need to walk around some to gain my strength back and heal." Jill says as she slowly sits down on couch with Jacob in her arms.

Joe and Beau sit down next to Jill and Jacob on the couch with both of them smiling.

"Where is Hunter and Melissa? Do they know you, Beau and Jacob are here visiting me?" Joe asks Jill softly as Beau slides down Joe's lap and walks around the room, exploring everything he sees!

"I think they are both sleeping. They must have jet lag still. I know they wouldn't leave Beau unattended like this on purpose." Jill says with a playful giggle.

"Oh be careful, Beauy." Joe says as Beau touches some of the books in the Oval Office's bookcase.

Beau turns around to look at his Nana and Pop and giggles as he continues to walk around the room.

"They are probably tired. I think I heard Beau up late last night when I changed Jacob's diaper. So one of them was probably up with him" Joe says and caresses Jacob's head as he lays in Jill's arms.

Jacob looks up at Joe with his big blue eyes. Jacob searches for Joe's gaze and focuses his eyes when he finds it.

"Jacob been sleeping all day and now when he sees you he tries to communicate." Jill says and leans in to Joe to bring father and son closer together.

"Jacob loves his Daddy and his Mama! Yes, he does! Yes, he does!" Joe says in a babyfied voice as Jacob coos.

Beau grabs a picture of Beau and walks over to Joe and Jill.

"Pop! Nana! Beau!" Beau says as he smiles happily.

"That is Beau! That's your Uncle Beau." Joe says softly to Beau with a grin.

"Uncle Beau loves you! He is an angel in Heaven." Jill says as Beau smiles.

"Beau! Beauy!" Beau says and points at the picture in his hand and then at himself.

"Yes! That's right, buddy! You are named after your Uncle Beau!" Joe says smiling at Beau.

"Jacob is also named Beau. His second middle name is Beau." Jill says and strokes Jacob's hair.

Beau looks up at Jill with a questioned face.

"That's right! He is Jacob Francis Beau! He is named after your Uncle Beau just like you are!" Joe says and strokes Beau's arm trying to comfort him and make him less confused.

"Come here Beauy! I'll show you my necklace for your Uncle Beau." Jill says and pats on the sofa next to her.

Joe reaches over and takes Jacob in his arms, giving Jill the opportunity to put Beau in her lap.

Beau climbs up on the sofa, still with Beau's picture in hand, and sits down on Jill's lap.

Jill reaches for her necklace with Beau written on a small plaque and shows it to Beau.

"Look here, Beauy! Here it says Beau! Your Pop got me this after your Uncle Beau went to heaven!" Jill says as tears starts to form in her eyes at the thought of Beau.

"Angel!" Beau says pointing up at the sky, causing Jill to tear up and Joe nods.

"That's right. Beau is an angel in Heaven now." Joe says softly to Beau as Jill rubs Beau's back.

"Uncle Beau named your cousin Hunter after your Daddy and your Daddy named you after Uncle Beau! That's silly isn't it?" Jill says as Beau giggles and smiles.

Joe smiles at Jill and Beau before looking down at a sleeping Jacob who has his thumb in his mouth.

"Oh, we need to stop this habit now." Jill says pointing at Jacob with his thumb in his mouth.

"Jilly, he is just a baby." Joe says playfully to Jill and Jill giggles.

"I know but that can be bad when he gets older." Jill explains to Joe.

Just then, the Oval Office phone rings and after a few rings, Joe finally answers it.

"Hello? Hey Hunt! Calm down, calm down. Beau is with your mom and Jacob. Your mom took Jacob for a walk to my office and Beau tagged along. You two know better not to sleep with a toddler." Joe says as he jokes with Hunter.

Jill can hear a low mumbling of Hunter's voice through the phone and smiles.

"Yes, I know. I also told her that she shouldn't walk this far but you know your mother." Joe says to Hunter on the phone.

Jill giggles lightly and rubs Beau's back.

"That's your Daddy on the phone. He thinks I am silly for walking here to see Pop." Jill says and Beau giggles at her.

"Nana silly." Beau laughs at her and Jill playfully gasps at him.

"Do you think I'm silly? Do you think I'm silly?" Jill says to Beau in a goofy voice and tickles Beau lightly on his tummy.

Beau giggles uncontrollably and falls over onto Jill.

"Be careful! Silly boy." Jill says with a cheeky smile at Beau and Beau giggles.

"Nana! I silly!" Beau says as he dances some.

"You are a silly boy! Yes, you are!" Jill says as she sits Beau on her lap again.

"Beau is fine! He is just exploring the Oval Office and he is just hanging out with Pop Nana and Jacob. He needs to spend lots of time with us." Joe says as he sits down on the couch again with Jacob in his arms.

"Why don't you and Melissa go out for the day and have a date day? Your mom and I got Beau and Jacob." Joe says to Hunter.

Jill smiles up at Joe and pats his leg to get his attention.

"Tell them to enjoy themselves today, they done more than we ever needed to help us." Jill says and Joe nods.

"You heard your mom! Go out and have fun and we will see you tonight or tomorrow. You decide" Joe says and smile at Jill and Beau.

"Yes, okay Hunter. I love you too. Bye bye." Joe says as he ends the phone call.

"Looks like you got yourself a Pop and Nana day." Joe says and tickles Beau softly on the back.

"Yay! Nana and Pop!" Beau squeals and wraps his arms around Jill who kisses him on the head.

"You sweet silly boy. Nana loves you." Jill says and smiles at Beau.

"Pop loves you too" Joe says and gives Beau a kiss on the cheek.

"So does Jacob" Joe adds and smiles down at his baby son.

"Wuv wuv wuv!" Beau says happily as he dances around.

"Let me bring some of my work back home so I can help you with Jacob and Beau." Joe says with a smirk at Jill and Jill blushes at Joe.

"Sounds good, baby." Jill says with a cheeky grin as she kisses Joe a few times.

"Are you ready to go back to Nana and Pop's house, Beau?" Joe asks Beau as he carefully places Jacob back on his stroller.

"YEAH! YEAH!" Beau says with a big cheeky smile at Joe and Jill.

"We are going to have a such a fun day!" Jill says as she begins to push Jacob in the stroller.

"Up up?" Beau says putting his arms up, wanting to be held by Joe.

"Sure, I'll carry ya, bud. Let's go!" Joe says as he picks up Beau and Beau smiles, hugging Joe tightly.

"Yay!" Beau says with a cheeky smile, making Joe and Jill both smile.

Jill, Jacob, Joe and Beau all go back to the White House residence and they and Major all hang out for the rest of the day! :)
