January 21st, 2022

Hoda: "Jenna and I had an exclusive interview with President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, First Lady Jill Biden, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and...."

Jenna: "And probably America's favorite babies Jacob Biden and Devi Emhoff!"

Hoda: "Us along with our five kids and amazing husbands went to the White House for this exclusive!"

The next scene is of Hoda, her fiancé Joel, Haley, Hope, Jenna, husband Joel, Mila, Poppy and Hal walking around the White House for a tour before heading to the Naval Observatory for the interview!

A few minutes later, Jill, Joe Jacob, Doug, Kamala and Devi all walk into the room!

Joe is holding Jacob while holding Jill's hand and Doug has his arm on Kamala's back while she holds Devi.

*Jacob and Devi's outfits*

"Hello, Hoda and Jenna! It is so good to see you both today!" Jill says as she hugs both Hoda and Jenna.

Jill then waves at Joel and Henry who are sitting in the back with Haley, Hope, Mila, Poppy and Hal!

"It is nice to you see you both! We are very happy to do this interview with you two!" Joe says as he hugs and kisses Hoda and Jenna.

"Jacob, do you want to say hi? Say hello to Hoda and Jenna!" Joe says on a babyfied voice as he waves Jacob's hand and Jacob smiles.

"I see a little tooth coming in at the bottom!" Hoda says with a big smile.

"Oh my goodness! A little tooth! How adorable!" Jenna says as she smiles at Jacob.

"He has been teething for a while and his first tooth finally came in!" Jill says proudly.

"Welcome to the Vice President's residence!" Kamala says to Joel, Henry, Haley, Hope, Hal, Poppy and Mila, causing all of them to smile.

Doug waves at Joel, Henry, Haley, Hope, Hal, Poppy and Mila before walking over to Hoda and Jenna.

"Hello and welcome to the Naval Observatory!" Doug says as he hugs Hoda and Jenna.

"Thank you! You two decorated your home so beautifully!" Hoda says with a smile.

"Kamala did most of it! She just told me what to do!" Doug says causing Hoda and Jenna to both laugh.

"Let's go say hello to Hoda and Jenna!" Kamala says in a babyfied voice at Devi and Devi babbles happily.

"Hello, Hoda and Jenna! Welcome! Thank you for coming over for this interview! We have been excited for it! Right, Devi?" Kamala says to Hoda and Jenna and Devi happily babbles.

"Are you a little talker! Yes, you are! And I see you have a tooth too!" Hoda says happily.

"He does, he does! He has two more coming in too!" Kamala says Devi babbles.

"Oh teething is super hard! The first few teeth are rough!" Jenna says to Kamala and Doug,

"Let's sit down and chat! We have a lot to talk about!" Hoda says as everyone sits down.

Joe, Jill, Kamala and Doug all sit together while Devi and Jacob begin to play underneath their feet.

Devi and Jacob are both sitting up with pillows behind them just in case they fall down.

Hoda and Jenna begin to talk with Jill, Joe, Kamala and Doug about their first year of the Biden-Harris administration. The big wins, the big loses, the pandemic, the fast growing economy and what their plans are for the 2022 midterms and the next year of the administration!

Hoda: "Now that we asked all of the hard and most asked questions, now let's talk about parenthood!"

Jill, Joe, Kamala and Doug all smile and chuckle at Hoda and Jenna.

Hoda: "So Kamala, you became a first time mom in your 50s just like me, what's your advice for other mothers that want to have children or adopt?"

Kamala: "I'd say go for it! Age isn't a big factor in being a great parent. You can be a parent at any age and be a fantastic one and you can also have a successful career and still be a fantastic parent. My sister was a teen mom and she has been a wonderful mom to her daughter and an incredible grandma to her two granddaughters. Devi was an unexpected blessing for Doug and I and we are so thankful for him and we love him so much."

Doug: "Not much has changed in the baby stage from when my two eldest children were babies and that was almost thirty years ago. The only difference I'd say is the technology and TV shows! Everything else is very similar with how babies develop and learn."

Joe: "Oh, parenting has changed A LOT when Beau, Hunt and Ashley were born all born!"

Jill, Kamala, Doug, Hoda and Jenna all laugh

Jill: "A lot of things are different but honestly much is the same just more ways to do things! Like baby lead weaning, I didn't even know what that was until Little Beau was born almost two years ago, so I an going to do that with Jacob when he starts eating foods!"

Kamala: "Oh we are doing that too! Didn't you and Kerstin do that with Cole and Ella when they were babies?"

Doug: "I think so! I don't think it had a name back then."

Jenna: "I did that with all of my kids! It was so fun! Did you do that Hoda?"

Hoda: "I did a mixture of baby lead weaning and baby foods! That's a fun mixture I think!"

Kamala and Jill both nod and smile

Jenna: Jill, what is it like being a mom at you age? I've seen a lot of people online and offline talking about you and President Biden having a baby in your 70's and people might think it could happen to them!"

Jill nods and smiles at Jenna.

Jill: "Nobody in their 70's think about having children or having more children. Most 70 year olds are retired and are enjoying their grandchildren. I never thought or expected to become a parent again at 70 but I am so happy to be Jacob's mom. He is such a joy and he keeps me even more busier than I already was, but I absolutely love it. He is the love of my life just like his dad is."

Joe smiles at Jill and holds her hand.

Jenna: "And what about you, President Biden? How do you feel about becoming a father again at your age?"

Joe: "I love it, I absolutely love it. I love being Jacob's dad and teaching him many things. I wasn't planning or expecting to have a child at my age but I am so lucky to have my health so I can be a big part of my son's life."

Jacob plays with Joe's dress pants and Joe looks down at him, causing Joe to smile.

Joe: "Do you wanna be held by Mommy? Hmm? Or by me?"

Joe picks up Jacob and kisses his cheek and Jacob puts his arms out, wanting to be held by Jill.

Jill smiles and takes Jacob from Joe.

Jill: "He is a Mommy's boy! Just like his big brothers were! Ashley was a Daddy's girl!"

Hoda and Jenna both smile at Jill and Jacob

Hoda: "Oh Haley and Hope are Daddy's girls!"

Jenna: "I feel like Mila, Poppy and Hal are both Daddy and Mommy's boys!"

Kamala: "I was in absolute shocked when Jill and Joe called Doug and I after Jacob was born. I thought I was like hallucinating due to not sleeping much with a four day old newborn but nope it was true!"

Kamala, Doug, Jill and Joe all laugh loudly

Doug: "I was shock too! When they called I was half asleep and I heard Kamala screaming and I thought something happened to Devi but nope, Jill and Joe had a baby!"

Joe: "Jacob and Devi are best friends already! They love to play together and just being around each other."

Kamala: "I think once they are older they will be partners in crime!"

Jill: "They are very close in age just like Beau and Hunt. It is so sweet."

Jacob cuddles with Jill as he sits on Jill's lap. Jill rubs his back

Jill: "He is my cuddle buddy. I started a bad habit by holding him right before nap time and now he wants it all of the time but I love it."

Jenna: "Oh Jill, you're fine. Cherish every moment you and Joe got with him. He's only little once and I miss my kids when they were that size."

Kamala: "Devi loves to be held before he goes down to bed for the night and I love rocking him to sleep."

Hoda: "How are you reacting to America showing all the love to your boys?"

Kamala: "All the gifts and love the American people have been sending our boys is so appreciated! So many clothes, toys, and a bunch of other things. Devi and Jacob are so loved by everyone and are exactly what we needed after these past four years!"

Jill: "Yes yes! We appreciate everything that all of you have gotten for Devi and Jacob however, we are fine and don't need anything else! Devi and Jacob have so much and we want others to have these much needed baby items. The overflow of items everyone has sent will now be going to different charities that help children."

Devi babbles loudly and wants Doug to hold him

Doug: "The toys we brought out are boring, huh?"

Doug picks up Devi and sits him in his lap

Doug: "Here's your teether! He loves this thing!"

Kamala: "That's his favorite teether that he got from my sister."

Jacob yawns as he lays his head down on Jill's chest.

Jill: "Are you getting sleepy? Nap time isn't for another hour, but you did wake up earlier today."

Hoda and Jenna both awe and smile at Jacob

Jenna: "How have your adult kids reacted to having Devi and Jacob around?"

Doug: "Cole and Ella both love and adore their baby brother so much! Ella makes Devi little sweaters and outfits! Cole has been "teaching" Devi fantasy football. Devi loves his big brother and sister!"

Kamala: "And mg niece Meena and grandnieces Amara and Leela are obsessed with Devi. Meena is finally happy to have a cousin after being the only child in our family for many years. Meena loves to hold Devi all of the time and film little videos with him! Amara and Leela treat Devi like a little doll and he just goes with the flow!"

Jill: "Hunter and Ashley were both very shocked about the news of Jacob. However once they met him, they just fell in love with their baby brother. I know both Hunter and Ashley will be there for Jacob no matter what. Beau's wife Hallie and Hunter's ex Kathleen are both so loving with Jacob as well."

Joe: "Naomi, Naomi's fiancé Peter, Finnegan, Maisy, Natalie and Hunter were all surprised and confused about Nana and Pop having a baby but they love their Uncle Jacob so much. They just call him Jacob though."

Jill: "Baby Beau loves Jacob. It is so sweet to see them together! Eugenia and Bonny are babies themselves but I think they will be close with Jacob."

Hoda: "What do you think Devi's first word is going to be?"

Kamala: "Probably Dada or something silly! Like a Secret Service code word or a cuss word!"

Kamala laughs loudly as she and Doug smile.

Doug: "I really hope it's either Mama or Dada!"

Jenna: "And what about Jacob's first word?"

Jill: "Probably woof or meow since he is with our dogs and cat a lot! But I'm hoping it's Mama or Mommy."

Joe: "All of my kids first words was Dada so I'm counting on Jacob to finish the pattern."

Joe smiles at Jacob and rubs his back.

Joe: "Jacob and Devi have more hair than I do."

Doug: "Me too, Joe!"

Jill, Kamala, Doug, Hoda and Jenna all laugh.

Hoda: "I heard that you a bunch of babies have been born since you've been office. Besides these two cuties, how many other baby friends in the Biden-Harris Administration and family are there?"

Doug: "Pete and Chasten's twins, Gus and Penelope!"

Jill: "Ashley and Howard had twin girls Eugenia and Bonny!"

Joe: "Hunt and Melissa are expecting a second little boy and his name is going to be Joey, after my father, me and Beau. Continuing the name."

Doug smiles at Kamala and Kamala smiles.

Kamala: "And Doug and I are expecting our second child together in late July."

Hoda and Jenna both cheer happily and loudly.

Jenna: "Oh my gosh! Congratulations!"

Hoda: "This is such wonderful news!"

Kamala and Doug: "Thank you!"

Joe and Jill smile proudly.

Jenna: "I'm guessing you two already knew the big news?"

Jill: "Yes! We were told on Christmas just like the rest of the family and it is so special! We are a big family and we are so happy."

Joe: "We are very excited to have two new grandchildren coming this year!"

Hoda: "Does this means you two are having another baby too?"

Jill: "N O! No way!"

Joe: "Jill is the boss in that department, always has been."

Jill: "Plus, after Jacob was born I had a hysterectomy so no more surprises!"

Mila, Poppy, Hal, Haley and Hope all do silly faces, making Jacob and Devi giggle loudly.

Jenna: "What would Shyamala and Beau say about these little boys if they were here now?. I know Devi and Jacob were sent to you courtesy of those two angels."

Kamala tears up and so does Joe.

Kamala: "My mother would have spoiled Devi rotten. Like so rotten just like she did Meena! She would have fallen in love with Doug, Cole and Ella and she would have been a wonderful great grandma to Amara and Leela. Devi is the first son on my side of the family for a few generations, so it would have been so special to her."

Doug smiles and rubs Kamala's back.

Kamala: "I wouldn't be surprised if she lived at the Naval Observatory with us or with my sister Maya. She really loved to be around family."

Joe continues to tear up and Jill holds Joe's hand. 

Jill: "Beau would have been so excited to have another baby brother. Beau would have been the most happy and not asking Joe and I a million questions. I know he would have came to DC as often as he could to help us with Jacob and to be in Jacob's life. I believe Beau's spirit was there when Jacob was born, I felt so calm right before I was put under anesthesia for my surgery. Jacob was also born on 2:03pm and February 3rd is Beau's birthday so that was a sign for us."

Joe: "That's why Jacob has two middle names. Beau is his second middle name after his big brother." 

*Hoda and Jenna continue to talk with Kamala, Doug, Jill and Joe while Hal, Mila, Poppy, Haley and Hope sit on the floor and talk with Jacob and Devi*

After the interview, Hoda and Jenna show Joe, Jill, Doug and Kamala a few screens!

Hoda: "We have a surprise for all of you!"

Jenna: "Yes! This surprise is so big, I'm surprised Hoda and I were able to keep it a secret!"

On each screen is a former president! The first screen is Former President George W. Bush with his wife Laura! On the second screen is of Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn!

On the third screen is Former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary! And on the fourth screen is Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle!

Jill, Joe, Kamala and Doug all smile and get excited as they look at the four screens!

Joe: "Hey!"

Kamala: "Oh my gosh! This is so cool!"

Jill: "Look, Jakey! Look! It's President Carter, Rosalynn, President Clinton, Hillary, President Bush, Laura, President Obama and Michelle!"

Jacob babbles happy and so does Devi.

Doug: "Wow, so many former presidents and first ladies, Devi! Look!"

President Carter: "Hello everyone!"

Royalynn Carter: "Hello! We hope all of you are having a great day and happy one year in office!"

President Obama: "Hello! Make room for six of us because we are coming to the inaugural ball tomorrow!"

Michelle Obama: "This is America's way and our way of saying thank you for all you've done for us this past year. We already planned everything, but we'll get your suggestions too if you have any. All of us except the Carters will be flying in to DC tonight and see you all tomorrow!"

President Bush: "Each of us has had the great privilege to dance at the Inaugural Ball twice. Usually the former President and First Lady don't attend, but we're making an exception here!

Laura Bush: "And we felt terrible that y'all had to miss out last year because of how bad the pandemic was at the time."

President Clinton: "We refuse to allow you four to miss out on this tradition and feel that it's time you get to have the celebration and dances you rightfully deserve."

Hillary: "Sure, the Ball is taking place later than planned but the important thing is that it's happening. So get your tuxes and dresses ready because it really is gonna be a night to remember!"

After the Zoom call with Jimmy Carter, Rosalynn Carter, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, George Bush, Laura Bush, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama,
Joe, Jill, Jacob, Kamala, Doug and Devi all hang out with Hoda, Joel, Hope, Haley, Jenna, Henry, Mila, Poppy and Hal all have lunch together! :)
