Today has been a historic but difficult day for President Joe Biden and the whole entire Biden family.

Today, Joe decided to step down and not seek re-election. It was a hard fight to stay in the campaign and it was one of the hardest decisions Joe has probably made in his entire life.

Many things have caused this decision to happen that don't matter right now but one reason Joe kept going back to is his and Jill's almost three year old son, Jacob.

Jacob has been in the spotlight ever since the day he was born along with Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman two children, Devi and Ivy.

The media always nitpicks Joe, Jill, Kamala, Doug and their adult family members but the comments about Jacob hurt Joe and Jill the most. Many comments about his appearance, his health and questioning if he is abused.

Ultimately, one of the big reasons on why Joe stepped down was because he wanted to spend much needed time with Jacob.

Joe is eighty one, almost eighty two years old and the years with Jacob are most likely aren't many due to having him very late in life. So to Joe, every minute he can spend it with Jacob and his family, the better.

Jill and Jacob both walk into the Biden Family beach home and Jill tries to keep a mask on Jacob's face so he doesn't get covid from Joe.

After Joe's positive covid diagnosis, Jill and Jacob both had to take covid test to see their status and it took nearly everything Jill had to convince Jacob to take one. He is an almost three year old after all. Jacob didn't understand why he had to take the test and to him it was very scary.

*Jacob's shirt with jean shorts*

"Let's take our shoes off, okay?" Jill says to Jacob and Jacob jumps around happily.

"Okay, Mama!" Jacob says as Jill helps take off Jacob's little tennis shoes.

Joe turns around in his recliner, happy to hear his wife and son's voices in person and not on an iPhone.

"Hello, Jacob. Hello, Madam." Secret Service Agent Thomas says to Jacob and Jill with a smile.

"Hello, Thomas. How's Joe doing?" Jill asks Thomas as she helps Jacob put his shoes away in a cubby.

"He is feeling well! He is relieved the statement is out and the response has been well so far but I know he wants to spend some time with you and Jacob." Agent Thomas says to Jill.

"Hiiii!" Jacob says about twenty times, causing Jill to laugh and Thomas to smile.

"He hears you, Jakey." Jill says, rubbing Jacob's back as Thomas chuckles at the little guy's excitement.

"You have gotten so big the last time I saw you!" Agent Thomas says to Jacob and Jacob giggles.

"Hasn't he? Huge growth spurt this summer that's for sure! I gotta get him a new wardrobe just about!" Jill says with a big laugh.

Thomas, Jill and Jacob all walk over to the living room to finally see Joe!

"Look, Jakey! There's Daddy!" Jill says as she fixes her face mask.

"DADDY!" Jacob squeals happily as he runs over to Joe.

"Hey, bud! Come here! Give me a big hug." Joe says with a hoarse voice as Jacob runs over to Joe and hugs him tightly.

Joe holds onto Jacob protectively, missing his little boy after not seeing him these past almost five days.

Joe kisses Jacob's cheek a few times as Jacob lays his head on Joe's shoulder.

"Daddy loves you, Jakey." Joe says wanting to give Jacob a kiss.

"Wuv you, Daddy!" Jacob says as he takes his masks off and gives Joe a kiss.

Jill then walks over and smiles at out Joe and Jacob.

"Take your mask off Jilly, I'm not contagious anymore." Joe says, causing Jill to chuckle and smile at him.

"I know, I just don't wanna get sick next. First Doug getting it and now you." Jill says playfully, causing Joe to laugh before he coughs.

Jacob gets scared with Joe coughing and walks away a little from Joe. 

"Daddy is okay, Jakey! He has to cough to get the nasty stuff up since he has been sick." Jill explains to Jacob.

"I'm okay, son. Come here." Joe says as Jacob walks back over and sits on Joe's lap.

"Whatever. You'll be fine, Jilly. Come here and give me a hug and a kiss." Joe says to Jill.

Jill smiles before she kneels down next to Joe and Jacob. She puts her mask down and gives Joe a few kisses before hugging him tight, a hug she has been desperately wanting for five days.

Jill and Joe embrace tightly while Jacob is between them, sitting on Joe's lap.

"I am so incredibly proud of you, Joe. I don't want you to think that you failed me, Jacob, Kamala, Doug, Ivy, Devi or anybody in our family. You didn't fail anybody. You succeeded. You beat them and got this country out of the trenches. You did that. The American people love you, just look at all of the support and it has only been an hour since your announcement. You are and will always be the greatest president in the United States history and I am so freaking proud to be apart of that history as well. You and Kamala made so much history. You did everything you could to make this campaign work and fought so freaking hard. I know this campaign had been rough and absolutely vile. You are the strongest person I know and you made the hardest decision you have ever had to make in your life. You put America first just like you always have and always will. The American people will see that and they know how much you and Kamala have helped this country. Beau is looking down at you and is so proud of you and everything you accomplished. You did it, Joe. You kept your promise to him." Jill says with tears streaming down her face and Joe tears up as well.

Jill and Joe hug each other again before giving each other another kiss.

"I know Kamala is going to beat that bastard." Joe says as Jill smacks him for cussing in front of Jacob.

"Joe, language! And she sure will. She will be an incredible president. She has our support, the Clinton's and many others. Screw the ones that ruined this for you." Jill says as she wipes away her tears.

"Jilly, don't hold grudges now." Joe says as Jacob hugs Joe.

"You know I will! It will come out and the American people will see it!" Jill says a little loudly, causing Joe to chuckle.

"Why Mama sad?" Jacob asks out loud.

"Today has just been a really hard day, bud. You will find out about it when you are much older." Joe says, kissing Jacob's cheek.

"Are the pets okay?" Joe asks Jill, making sure Comamnder, Major and Willow are okay back at the White House.

"Yes, the pet sitter said they are all fine. Doug and the kids went over to check on them too." Jill says, causing Joe to smile.

"We need to call Kamala, Doug and the kids in a little bit. I called Kamala earlier and we had a heart to heart. I love her." Joe says happily.

"I love her too! She, Doug, Devi and Ivy are family. Speaking of family, Ash, Howard and the kids are coming over. We should have you take a test to make sure you are negative. We can't get Blaze sick, he's just a little baby." Jill says as Joe grunts.

"I'm pretty sure I'm negative now, Jilly. I just have a cough. I won't hold Blaze that's all." Joe says as Jacob starts to get antsy.

"Daddy, can we pway?" Jacob asks Joe, causing Jill to smile at the duo together.

"Sure! What do you wanna play?" Joe asks Jacob with a smile.

"Cars! Vrooooom! Vrooooom!" Jacob says as he acts like a car.

"Let's see what cars we have here! Most of them are back at home." Joe says as he and Jacob walk over to the toy box.

Jill sighs, knowing the White House won't be home anymore in January. That's all Jacob has known. Thankfully he is young and the adjustment shouldn't be too hard.

For the rest of the day, Joe, Jacob, Jill and the whole Biden family spend it together, ready to make history. 🇺🇸
