Joe and Jacob are both in SUV called 'The Beast' and half of the presidential motorcade are heading to Joint Base Andrews to pick up Jill!

For the last few days (May 3rd - May 7th) Jill has been in Europe, going to Romania and Slovakia. Jill went to visit meet with U.S. service members, U.S. embassy personnel, displaced Ukrainian parents and children, humanitarian aid workers, and educators.

Then on the last day of the trip, Jill made an unannounced trip to Ukraine, to meet with the people as well as the ambassador to Ukraine!

Joe and Jacob have missed Jill dearly, the White House staff don't know which Biden missed her more.

But today is Mother's Day and Jill is finally home, which is making Joe and Jacob both happy.

"Baaa baaa!" Jacob says in his car seat as he smiles over at Joe.

Joe smiles back and kisses his son before rubbing his head.

"Whatcha saying? Hmm? Are you talking? Tell Mama that you learned to bark thanks for Commander and Major! Yeah!" Joe says as Jacob tried to bark again but he forgot.

"Ooooof! Oooof!" Jacob barks causing Joe to chuckle,

"You almost have it! Silly boy! You know Mommy is going to be mad at me for letting you go out in your pajamas! But you are stubborn just like both Mama and I." Joe says as he fixes Jacob's hair that was sticking up.

Jacob isn't a fan of hair brushing either so Joe tried his best without making the almost nine month old upset.

*Jacob's pajamas*

"Look, buddy! It's Andrew's Air Force Base. That's where the plane Mommy is gonna land!" Joe says to his son while pointing at the base.

"Ma Ma!" Jacob says as he claps his hands, a new skill he has learned!

"Yes! Mama! Today is Mother's Day! So we are going to give Mama a corsage like I always do for special holidays and events." Joe says with a grin at Jacob, getting the corsage out of the box.

"Ooooo!" Jacob says with his eyes open wide.

"It's pretty, isn't it?" Joe asks him again.

"We are almost there, Mr. President." Agent Brian says as he opens the curtain to talk to Joe and Jacob.

"Thank you, Brian. Jakey, we are almost there!" Joe says as Jacob babbles happily.

"Ma ma! Ma ma!" Jacob exclaims happily

"Well, it seems that my kids' streak of saying Dada first is just about over." Joe says with a somewhat sad tone.

"Da da!" Jacob says for the very first time causing Joe's face to light up in happiness.

"Yay, Jacob! You just made your Daddy a happy man!" Agent Brain says while peeking through the curtain with a smile on his face.

"Daddy loves you, bud." Joe says softly, kissing Jacob's cheek.

"Michael has told me that they have landed. The First Lady is officially in Washington." Agent Brian says, giving Joe a huge sigh of relief that his wife is safe and that she is home.

"Ma ma! Ma ma!" Jacob exclaims happily

Joe and Jacob finally make it to Andrew Air Force Base and they walk over to the stairs waiting for Jill to come out.

Joe puts on a pair of noise canceling headphones on Jacob so the noise of Air Force 1 doesn't hurt his small young ears.

"Mama is coming soon! She is gonna get off the big plane right there!" Joe says happily to Jacob as he puts his aviators on.

Joe finds Jacob's aviators and carefully puts them on Jacob's face.

"There you go! I know the sun is super bright! We need to protect your eyes!" Joe says as Jacob babbles.

"Baa Baa!" Jacob exclaims happily.

Joe smiles and bounces Jacob in his arms, causing Jacob to giggle loudly.

Just then, Jill exits Air Force One and begins to carefully walk go down the many steps.

Jill then waves at the military detail before walking over to Joe and Jacob.

"Mama! Mama!" Jacob says happily to Jill.

"There's my baby boy! Hi, Jakey!" Jill says as she takes him from Joe's arms.

Jill hugs Jacob tightly and kisses his cheek a few times. Jill smiles at Joe and Joe smiles back before they kiss each other twice.

"Welcome home, baby." Joe says as he hugs Jill tightly and kisses her forehead.

"Thank you! I had a great trip but I am very happy to be back home." Jill says with a grin and Joe smiles back.

Jacob holds onto Jill tightly and Jill continues to hold her baby boy close. Jill is so lucky to live in a country where she doesn't have to escape in order to survive a war.

"You missed me didn't you? Mama missed you too!" Jill says to Jacob as she continues to hug and hold him.

"God I missed you." Joe whispers to Jill and Jill smiles.

"I missed you too. I missed both of you so so much." Jill says to Joe.

"Let's head home. Jakey and I have some surprises waiting for you at the White House!" Joe says happily to his wife.

"Surprises?" Jill asks her husband with a smirk.

"I can't tell ya! It won't be a surprise anymore!" Joe says as Jill chuckles.

"Ba baaaa!" Jacob says looking at the box Joe has with the corsage.

"That's right, Jakey! We need to give Mama her corsage." Joe says as Jill's cheeks blush and she smiles.

"Aww, thank you! This is so pretty." Jill says as Joe puts it on her wrist.

"You're welcome, baby. Happy Mother's Day to you." Joe says, kissing Jill and Jill kisses back.

Jill then looks at Jacob, who she now realizes is in pajamas.

"Jakey! Are you still in your pajamas? Joe! Did you put these on him thinking it was an outfit?" Jill says with a giggle, causing Jacob to giggle back.

"He didn't want to cooperate this morning, so I was like forget it. It's not worth "arguing" with a nine month old. He knew you were coming home today and was in a hurry." Joe says playfully to his wife

"Jacob Francis Beau Biden! Were you giving Daddy a hard time?" Jill asks her little boy.

"Da daaaa!" Jacob says as he looks at both Jill and Joe.

"Oh he learned that today too." Joe says with a big proud grin.

"Aww! You learned how to say Da Da! Yay!" Jill says as she kisses Jacob again.

"Oh, and by the way. He said mama first so the streak is over. I got it on video." Joe says with a somewhat sad tone of voice.

"Aww, I'm sorry honey." Jill says, rubbing Joe's cheek.

"It's okay. I know he's a Mama's boy and I love that." Joe says as he rubs Jacob's head.

Jacob babbles loudly causing Jill and Joe to both smile.

Jill, Jacob and Joe wave at the press before getting into the SUV to head back to the White House.

Jacob begins to fuss in his car seat, causing Jill and Joe to both frown.

"Do you want a snack? Hmm? I don't know if I packed one! Dad fail!" Joe says with a sigh as he looks through the diaper bag.

"Do you want a banana? I think I have one in my bag!" Jill says as Jacob's face lights up happily.

"Aaaaaaa!" Jacob exclaims happily.

"Oh, he's happy to hear that. Jacob loves bananas!" Joe says with a smile on his face.

Jill grabs the banana out of her bag, peels it, and uses a plastic knife to cut it up so Jacob can safely eat it.

"You always pack a snack! You never know when a baby can get hungry." Jill says as she holds the banana pieces for Jacob.

Jacob begins to happily feeding himself the pieces of bananas.

"Here's your sippy cup, Jakey. I filled it with grape juice. Goodies for the big boy!" Joe says as he hands the sippy cup to Jacob.

"I'm so happy to be in a country that we don't have to escape due to a war. I can't imagine having to do that with Jakey." Jill says, remembering all of the mothers and children she has met during her Europe trip who have escaped Ukraine.

"My heart aches for those children and their families. That's why I'm fighting as hard as I can to help them and Ukraine." Joe says, rubbing Jill's shoulders 

"You're doing your best, Joe. And I love you for it." Jill says before giving her husband a kiss.

"And I love you." Joe says after breaking the kiss.

"You are making a mess, Jakey!" Jill says as Jacob babbles loudly.

"He's a messy boy unlike his best friend Devi." Joe says playfully to his son.

Jill giggles and smiles at Joe and then at Jacob.

"I still can't believe you got him out here in his pajamas! You know the press will say something." Jill says with a chuckles.

"Oh, hush! It's the weekend. Plus, it's not my fault that our son didn't wanna cooperate." Joe says back with a chuckle.

"At least they look nice on him. Maybe people will think it's an outfit." Jill says as she smiles at Jacob.

"Baaa!" Jacob yells as he giggles.

"Yeah! I see you!" Jill says as Jacob smiles.

"They're Disney pajamas too, so you know our fellow Americans are gonna try to find them. If they do, they'll sell out fast!" Joe says to his wife.

"Republicans will think something about that! You know how Republicans don't like Disney now." Jill says with a chuckle.

"Oh, brother. Screw what they say! Disney will be around longer than a lot of their political careers! And to hate Disney characters? It's just so stupid." Joe answers back.

"Or Sesame Street characters. Seriously, I don't know how Republicans have a base still." Jill says as she rolls her eyes.

"Me either. They're focused on the wrong things." Joe says as he rolls his eyes as well.

Jacob happily babbles and kicks his legs, causing Joe and Jill to both smile.

"I have a dinner reservation for Mother's Day. Maybe we can invite Kamala and Doug." Joe says to Jill.

"Ooooo! That sounds fun! How about we FaceTime them later and invite them to go out to dinner with us?" Jill asks her husband happily.

"Have the kids called you?" Joe asks as he rubs her back.

"Yes! Ashley and Howard called early this morning with the girls because they decided to wake up at 5am. Then Hallie, Natalie and Hunter called me at around seven. They were getting ready to head to breakfast with Hallie's mom and sister. Finnegan, Maisy, Naomi and Peter all called me just as I was getting off the plane. The girls are with Kathleen today and Peter will visit with his mom." Jill says as Joe listens in.

"What about Hunt? I'm going to kick his butt if he doesn't call you!" Joe says, getting a little upset that Hunter hasn't called.

"Joe, they are in a different time zone! It's 7am there, I'm sure they are still sleeping or just getting up, they will call!" Jill says as Jacob babbles.

"Right. I keep forgetting that Hunter, Melissa, Beau, and Joey live all the way on the West Coast. And to answer your question from earlier, we will FaceTime the Emhoffs later." Joe says with a smile.

"Yeah, we should spent time with Kamala today. Mother's Day is really hard on her, harder now that she's a mom herself." Jill says to Joe with a frown.

"Right. Her mom, Shyamala, isn't here to enjoy her grandkids just like our son Beau's not here to enjoy his baby brother. The 7th anniversary of his death is coming up later this month." Joe says while thinking about his late son.

"Be o!" Jacob says causing Jill and Joe to both smile.

"Yeah! Are you saying Beau? Aww, Beau loves you! Your big brother Beau and nephew Beau!" Jill says as she kisses Jacob.

"It sounded like it! He is talking so much! He knows how to bark and say da da now!" Joe says proudly.

"We're almost at the White House, Mr. President and First Lady." Agent Brian says to Jill and Joe.

"I can't wait to take a shower and relax with two of my boys, Major, Commander and Willow." Jill says with a grin.

"And Jacob and I can't wait to show you what surprises we have in store for you. Oh, and thanks Brian for letting us know we're almost home." Joe tells his wife and agent.

"No problem, Mr. President." Agent Brian says with a smile.

Once at the White House, Joe, Jacob and Jill greet the press by wishing everyone a happy Mother's Day. Whether the mom is a woman, a non binary person, trans man, a man or a special person in the child's life.

"What are your plans for Mother's Day now that you're home, First Lady?" A female reporter asks her.

"I'm going to spend the day with my baby boy and husband! This will be my first Mother's Day with Jacob. Last Mother's Day I didn't know he was coming!" Jill says as she kisses Jacob's cheek.

"Mama!" Jacob exclaims happily, causing the press to smile.

"He said Mama first! But he says Dada too! Right?" Jill says to the press and then looks at Jacob.

"Dada!" Jacob says exclaims happily again.

Joe smiles at Jacob and kisses his cheek, causing Jacob to smile.

"That's my boy. The streak of my kids saying Dada first is over, but Jacob is still my special little boy." Joe says to the press with a smile.

"Jakey and Joe gave me a corsage, a tradition Joe started when we started dating. Isn't this beautiful?" Jill says, showing off her corsage proudly.

"Joe said Jacob picked out this soft lavender one!" Jill says proudly.

"The three flowers represent our three kids who are still living and the ribbon is for our son Beau who's no longer here." Joe says with a sad look on his face.

"Beau and Naomi are looking down on us." Jill says softly as she rubs Joe's face.

"Always." Joe says with a smile while he kisses his wife and Jacob touches his face

"Dada." Jacob says softly.

"Yes, bud? Do you wanna go inside? Are you tried of being in the spotlight today? Let's tell everyone bye bye!" Joe says as he waves Jacob's hand and Jacob babbles.

"Baa baa!" Jacob says excitingly to the press pool.

"Jacob says goodbye everyone, and happy Mother's Day!" Jill says with a grin.

"Happy Mother's Day, First Lady!" All of the press says as the trio head into the White House.

Once at the residence, Jill, Joe and Jacob are greeted by Willow, Commander and Major.

"Hi, guys! Mommy missed you three so much!" Jill says petting each pet one by one.

"Meow." Willow says as she rubs against Jill's leg happily.

Commander and Major happily run around, bark and wag their tails.

"Who's my good boys?" Joe asks Commander and Major.

Jill smiles at Joe, Commander and Major while she continues to hold Jacob closely.

"Ma maaaaa!" Jacob says to Jill, causing Jill to smile.

"Yes, baby! I see you! I love you! Muah! Muah! Muah!" Jill says, giving Jacob some kisses, causing Jacob to giggle and smile.

"Kisses for the big boy!" Joe says to his son.

"Aaaa!" Jacob yells loudly with a cheeky grin.

"Yeah! Let's show Mama the decorations we did around the house!" Joe says as Jill hands Jacob to him.

"Let's go!" Jill says happily.

Joe, Jacob and Jill walk over to the living room / dining room nook area and Jill sees the Mother's Day decorations Joe set up (well his team set up) for her.

"Wow! How did you pull this off?" Jill asks her husband.

"I'm the president baby, I got help." Joe says with a smirk as Jacob babbles happily and Jill giggles. 

"Did you help Daddy? You did a great job, Jakey!" Jill says happily.

"He's been my little sidekick while you have been gone. We both really missed you." Joe says, kissing Jill's cheek, causing Jill to blush.

"I missed you too. Any other surprises for me?" Jill asks with a smile.

"I have some surprises for us tonight when little man goes to sleep." Joe says with a smirk as he kisses Jill.

"Ma maaaa!" Jacob yells happily.

"Do you see the balloons? Yeah!" Jill says in a babyfied voice causing Jacob to smile. 

"Look in our bedroom and find out, Jilly." Joe tells his wife and Jill giggles.

Jill walks into her and Joe's bedroom and she sees the bedroom is decorated with flowers and fairy lights.

"Oh Joe. You spoil me baby! But these flowers aren't poisonous for animals right? You know how the dogs and Willow like to come in here." Jill says causing Joe to chuckle because she always worry about someone.

"They're not. The White House gardeners made sure of that." Joe tells her.

"Good. I don't want anything to happen to our fur babies." Jill says rubbing Joe's chest and smirking at him.

"Look Jilly! Jacob is getting so good with crawling! Let's show Mama!" Joe says as he puts Jacob down and Jacob crawls around happily.

"Oh boy, our little guy is on the move!" Jill says with a cheeky grin.

"Ooooo!" Jacob says as he crawls to the next room.

"I think he wants to show you our next surprise." Joe says with a grin.

"Then let's go!" Jill says excitingly.

Joe and Jill follow Jacob and she sees a big picture wrapped up.

"What's this?" Jill asks curiously.

"Tear the paper off and find out." Joe tells his wife.

Jill does that and sees that it's a painted picture of Ashley, Beau, Jacob, Naomi and Hunter. Beau is holding his baby brother at the age he is now, 9 months old. Hunter is holding Naomi. Naomi is still a year old like she was when she passed away. Beau and Naomi both have angel wings.

"Oh my gosh. This is beautiful. Who did this?" Jill asks while she starts to tear up

"The website this is from is paintyourlife.com. Karine suggested it and a professional painter did this. It's a way to have our loved ones in family pictures. Even when they're no longer here." Joe says while thinking about his late son

"I love it! And you got Beau holding his brother. He would've loved him so much." Jill says with a sad smile.

"Yeah, and Hunter is holding Naomi. I told the artist to just keep Naomi as her toddler self because I didn't want to imagine her as an adult because she wasn't one when she died." Joe says softly.

"That makes sense. I felt both of them in the operating room before I went under. Keeping me and Jacob safe." Jill says with a smile

Jill smiles again and rubs Joe's shoulder. Jill raised Beau and Hunter and she didn't have the chance to raise Naomi but she knows Joe thought about her often and that's why she was included in the painting.

"Ma maaa! Da daaaa!" Jacob yells happily.

"Yeah! Is that you? Is that you in the painting! Aww! That's Beau! There's Ashley and Hunter! And that's Naomi!" Jill says in a babyfied voice at Jacob.

"How about we have some lunch? You're probably hungry after you're trip." Joe asks Jill.

"Yeah, I'm starving." Jill says, hugging Joe tightly before she picks up Jacob.

"One of the White House Chefs made one of your favorites. Chicken Alfredo!" Joe says happily.

"Yum! Jacob has enough teeth, so he can have Pasta now!" Jill says to Jacob and Jacob babbles.

"Just cut the noodles up so he doesn't choke. I don't want him to choke." Joe says to Jill.

"Of course I will, Joey. I don't even know if Jacob would like it. But we can try!" Jill says as she puts Jacob in his high chair.

"Then let's do it!" Joe says with a smile.

Jill happily puts Jacob in his high chair and gets out a little bowl for Jacob to eat from!

"Hi, buddy! Are you hungry? Or are you not. I know you just ate a banana." Joe says as Jacob babbles loudly

"Baa Baa!" Jacob says while banging the table, indicating that he wants some food.

"Patience bud! You need to learn patience!" Joe says playfully as Jacob smiles ear to ear.

"Joe! He's still a baby. He doesn't know about patience yet." Jill playfully says back.

"He has to learn sometime! Right, bud? Right?" Joe says as Jacob babbles loudly.

"Mmm, this looks so good Joe. Thank you for everything today." Jill says to Joe.

"You're welcome, Jilly. What do you want to do the rest of the day?" Joe asks her with a smirk.

"Just spend time with two of my favorite boys. Can we call the Emhoffs later? I want them to come to dinner with us later today." Jill asks her husband.

"Of course!" Joe says with a smile.

Joe, Jill, and Jacob just relax for the afternoon. Getting FaceTime calls from Hunter, Melissa, Joey, Beau, Ashley, Howard, Eugenia, Bonny, and the rest of the grandkids along the way

Around 5:30 pm, they decide to call Kamala and see what her and the Emhoffs are up to.

Joe is currently laying on the couch and Jacob is laying on his chest.

"Are you sleepy? It's too early to go to bed." Joe says as Jacob coos.

"I think he's still waking up from his nap. You slept a long time today, bud! Big growth spurt!" Jill says talking about Jacob's almost three hour nap.

"You wanna call auntie Kammy and Uncle Doug, bud?" Joe asks Jacob and he smiles big

"Let's do it!" Jill says and uses her phone to FaceTime Kamala.

Joe places Jacob in Jill's lap while he walks to the kitchen to get drinks for the three of them.

"Hello?" Kamala playfully asks when she answers the call.

"Happy first ever Mother's Day, Kamala!" Jill say happily.

"Thank you! And happy Mother's Day to you Jill! Welcome home!" Kamala says back.

"I am so happy to be back home with my boys! How are you and your boys doing?" Jill asks Kamala.

"They are doing great! Doug, Cole and Dev went out for a walk while I'm hanging out with Kerstin and Ella. I just took a really long nap so now I won't be able to sleep tonight." Kamala says with a chuckle.

"Jacob took a long nap today too!" Jill says as she fixes Jacob's hair.

"Devi took a long nap too actually and after that he went on the walk with Doug and Cole. They should be back soon." Kamala says as she rubs her baby bump.

"How's little Ivy treating you? Good I hope?" Jill asks Kamala.

"Still kicking my ribs like crazy." Kamala answers.

"Aww. At least she is staying head down! I remember you said she was flipping a lot." Jill says with a chuckle.

"Yes! She is probably going to be a gymnast or something!" Kamala says with a grin.

"Aaaaaa!" Jacob yells loudly.

"Say happy Mother's Day, Auntie Kamala!" Jill says as Jacob smiles at Kamala, causing her to awe.

"Aww, hi, Jakey! Hi!" Kamala says, waving at Jacob.

"Hey, Kam! Happy Mother's Day!" Joe says happily as he shows himself on camera.

"Thank you, Joe!" Kamala says with a big grin.

"You're welcome. Where's my grandson?" Joe asks her with a cheeky grin.

"With his Daddy and big brother! Going on a walk." Kamala says with a smile.

"That's my boy." Joe says with a smile.

Just then Doug, Devi and Cole walk into the house and Devi is crying loudly.

"Uh oh!" Jill says as she frowns a little.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Kamala asks Doug.

"A bee came near him and it scared him. Don't worry, he didn't get stung but Cole did." Doug says as he hands Devi to Kamala to hold.

"Shh shh shh. It's okay baby. It's okay. Mama is here." Kamala says, comforting Devi in her arms.

"Momala, it hurts. But I wasn't gonna let a bee sting my brother, so it stung me instead. It stung my arm!" Cole says with tears in his eyes.

"Oh, Cole! It's okay, baby. Let's go and get that checked out. Bee stings are no fun and we gotta make sure there's not a stinger in you." Kerstin says as she hugs her son tightly.

"Okay." Cole says to his mom and they head upstairs.

"Do you want me to send one of the White House physicians over? Because we can." Joe asks Doug.

"Maybe they will be a good idea. Just to make sure Cole is fine. Luckily he doesn't have a bee allergy." Doug says to Joe.

"Okay, I'll call them and send them over." Joe says as he leaves the FaceTime call for a moment.

"I was calling to wish Kamala and Kerstin a happy Mother's Day, but I was wondering if you guys want to join Joe, Jacob and I for dinner?" Jill says with a grin.

"That's sounds fun. Once Cole gets the a-okay after the doctor checks him out, we'll definitely go." Kamala says with a smile as Devi calms down.

"Great!" Jill answers back happily.

"Aw, Devi. Did a bumble bee scare you, bud?" Joe says with a sad look on his face.

Devi pouts a little at Joe as he lays her head on Kamala's chest.

"I know, the bee was scary huh, baby? It's okay, Mama is here." Kamala says, kissing Devi's cheek.

"Agent Brain is driving one of the physicians over right now." Joe says to Doug.

"Joe, thank you. I hate seeing my sons cry. You probably remember those days with Beau and Hunter whenever they got hurt. Especially when they were kids." Doug says with a frown.

"Oh I definitely remember many times they got hurt but I remember the car accident injuries the most." Joe says as Jill rubs Joe's back softly.

"I didn't mean to bring that up, Joe. I'm sorry." Doug apologizes and feeling super bad.

"No, it's alright. But I think about Neilia and Naomi every now and again. Keeping their memories alive." Joe says and Jill smiles.

"Joe got me this painting of all of the kids, even includes Beau and Naomi with angel wings. Let me go get it." Jill says as she hands Jacob to Joe before walking over to get the painting.

Two minutes later, Jill comes over with the painting that Joe got.

"Here it is!" Jill says as Joe shows it on her iPhone camera.

"Oh that is so beautiful! I love that!" Kamala says with a big grin.

"I love it!" Doug says happily.

"Aw! Beau is holding his baby brother!" Ella says with a smile.

"It's only right since he sent Jacob to us in the first place." Joe says as he holds Jacob.

Devi babbles and smiles at Joe and Jill.

"Hi, Devi! Hiii!" Jill says, waving at Devi.

"Hi, Devi! Look, Jakey! There's Devi!" Joe says as Jacob babbles happily at Devi.

"I wonder what they're talking about?" Doug asks curiously.

"Probably how much mischief they're gonna get into when we go to dinner tonight." Kamala says playfully.

"Aaaaa!" Devi says as he puts his arms up and down.

"Aaa baaa!" Jacob says as he claps.

"How's Cole holding up?" Joe asks Doug, checking on Cole who is like a grandson now.

"He's almost done. There was a stinger in his arm, but the doctor got it out. My brave boy." Doug says with a smile.

"He got some cold compresses and healing lotion to reduce the swelling. He'll probably take some advil to help with the pain." Kamala says.

Hopefully he will be able to join all of us for dinner! If not we completely understand." Jill says as she rubs Jacob's head.

"Speaking of Cole, I see him, the doctor, and Kerstin coming now." Doug says with a grin.

"Devi! Where my little buddy?" Cole says excitingly.

"Baa Baa!" Devi says as he reaches his arms out.

"Cole! Come sit on the couch. I want you to rest that arm." Kamala says with a stern look.

"Yes, Momala." He says as he sits to the couch and she gives Devi to him

"How is he, Kerstin?" Doug asks her.

"He's good. The doctor got the stinger out. He had to put some gauze on where he got stung after rubbing some calamine cream on it. Then he put some bandage wrap around the gauze pad so it stays. He said to keep an eye on it for the rest of this week." Kerstin explains to Doug.

"I have to take Benadryl to help with the pain. He said give me a good hour or so before we head to dinner. This pain sucks, but I think it would've been worse for Devi if he was stung instead of me." Cole explains to everyone as Devi cuddles with his brother.

"Aww, Devi loves you so much." Kamala says as she smiles at Ella, Cole and Devi.

Doug takes a picture of his three kids to post to Instagram later.

"It's almost 6:00 now, so how does 7-7:30 sound for us to go out to dinner? That should give Cole some time to recover from his ordeal." Jill asks Kamala.

"I think that sounds good." Kamala answers Jill with a smile.

"Great! It's my treat." Joe says to everyone.

"Joe, no! Let me help!" Doug says to Joe as Jill tickles.

"No, let me Doug. You help Jill and I so much with Jacob. Let me treat you, Kamala, Kerstin and my three grandchildren out to dinner." Joe says to Doug.

"You're right. You win, Mr. President." Doug says with a smile.

"Joe! You don't have to!" Kerstin says to Joe.

"Yeah, Joe! Let us pay something." Kamala says to Joe.

"Enough! Your commander in chief commands you all to stop arguing. You won't win!" Joe says in a stern tone with a slight smile on his face.

"Sorry." Kamala, Doug, and Kerstin say in unison.

"He is stubborn isn't he? This is what I've been dealing with for over forty years!" Jill says playfully causing Doug, Kamala and Kerstin to all laugh.

"Hey! I had to propose to you five times before you finally said yes!" Joe playfully says back.

Jill blushes and kisses Joe's cheek.

"Hey, I got Kamala to say yes after one time! Kerstin too!" Doug says as he chuckles.

"Well, we will see you guys at dinner! We will come around to pick you all up! We might have to take two cars." Jill says to Kamala and Doug,

"Two?! More like three!" Kamala says, causing everyone to laugh

"We can do two if we use the big suv!" Jill says with a chuckle.

"You're right. As always." Kerstin says playfully.

"Of course I am. I'm a teacher and teachers are right...most of the time." Jill says playfully.

"You are always right, beautiful." Joe says, kissing Jill's cheek.

"Teachers aren't right all the time." Ella says under her breath.

"I'm sorry, Ella. What was that?" Jill says sternly

"Um, nothing Aunt Jill. I love you!" Ella says nervously.

Everyone giggles and smiles at each other.

"Alrighty. We're gonna go ahead and get ready. I see you all are already dressed up." Jill says happily.

"See you in a little bit!" Kamala says as she, Doug, Cole, Devi, Ella and Kerstin all wave goodbye.

"Say bye bye, Jakey!" Joe says happily.

"Baaaa!" Jacob says as he waves playfully.

"BAAAAA!" Devi says happily.

"Bye bye!" Jill says as she ends the FaceTime call.

Joe smiles at Jill and then at Jacob.

"Ella was shading you playfully." Joe says as he chuckles.

"I know! Why did she do me like that?" Jill asks Joe.

"She's just joking sweety." Joe says, kissing Jill's cheek.

"You're right. She was probably thinking about her college professors who weren't great." Jill says with a smile.

"Yeah, Doug and Kamala told me she had some rude teachers. It happens. I know you are the best teacher ever." Joe says as he wraps his arm around Jill and kisses her tenderly.

"Mama!" Jacob says happily, wanting some attention.

"Hey, buddy. You want some kisses too?" Jill says as she kisses her son on the cheek

"Oh my gosh." Joe says with a chuckle.

"What's wrong Joe?" Jill asks her husband playfully. 

"Jacob peed through his pj's!" Joe says as he points to the spot on his pajama pants

"Jakey! What the heck?" Jill says happily.

"It's okay, it's my fault! I probably put the diaper on wrong. Jakey was a wiggle worm this morning while were getting ready to pick you up." Joe says Jill.

"You little troublemaker. At least you had one on. Let's get you changed and ready for tonight!" Jill says as she and Jacob go to his room.

"Wear something gorgeous." Joe says as Jill blushes.

"Do you have any surprises for me tonight?" Jill asks Joe with a smirk.

"Maybe!" Joe says as Jill giggles.

"But let me guess. Those won't come until Jacob goes to bed?" Jill asks her husband.

"Of course, baby." Joe says with a sly smirk at Jill before going into the bedroom to change.

At 7:15 our Biden trio is dressed and ready for dinner.

Joe is downstairs waiting for Jill and Jacob to come downstairs. Joe feeds Willow, Commander and Major their dinner while he waits.

"You three be good! Don't make a mess now." Joe says to Willow, Commander and Major.

Just then, Jill and Jacob walk downstairs together. Jacob is babbling happily and Jill smiles at him before smiling at Joe.

"My my my. You look gorgeous, Jilly." Joe says with a smirk as he walks over to Jill.

"Why, thank you." She says back as she kisses her husband.

"You are very welcome. And you are a handsome little guy!" Joe says as he picks up Jacob from Jill and holds him close.

"He hates his hair brushed just like Ashley!" Jill says with a chuckle.

"He doesn't have much to brush, Jilly." Joe says as he looks at Jacob's hair that is full of blonde hair but isn't that long yet.

"Yes, he does! You have to train the hair." Jill says as she smiles at Jacob and Joe rogue her.

"Oh, boy." Joe says with a huff.

"Let's get going! We gotta pick up Auntie Kamala, Uncle Doug, Kerstin, Devi, Cole and Ella! Yay!" Jill says as she cheers happily.

"Are you ready to go bye bye?" Joe asks his son with a cheeky grin.

"Baaa baaa baaa!" Jacob says with lots of excitement.

"Then let's go!" Joe says happily.

"The SUV is ready for you, Mr. President and First Lady." Agent Brian tells him.

"Thank you, Brian." Jill and Joe both say as they walk outside to their SUV.

The press happily take a few pictures and shout at Joe, but Joe waves and gets in the SUV not wanting to ruin the dinner.

"You could have talked to them. I would have been fine." Jill says to Joe.

"No, it would be too long and I don't want Kamala waiting. She is pregnant and needs to eat." Joe says as he fixes Jacob's car seat.

"You're right. Don't want to make a pregnant mama mad." Jill says

"No we do not!" Joe says back to Jill.

"Kam Kam!" Jacob says happily.

"Yes! That's right! we are seeing Kamala!" Jill says as Jacob babbles.

The presidential motorcade drives over to the Naval Observatory where Cole, Devi and Ella are already waiting.

Cole is happily walking around, causing Devi to giggle loudly. Cole sits Devi on the ground and Devi then starts to stand up, shocking Cole and Ella.

"Devi? Are you gonna try to walk, buddy?" Ella asks her brother.

Devi then falls down on his butt and giggles loudly. Cole picks up Devi and holds him.

"There's my three grandchildren. How are you guys?" Joe says as he, Jill and Jacob get out of the SUV.

"Good!" Ella says as she hugs Jill and then Joe.

"I'm hungry! Devi, your hungry too, right?" Cole says as Devi babbles loudly.

Jacob babbles happily and Devi babbles loudly back at him.

"Aww! They have missed each other!" Jill says in a babyfied voice.

Just then, Doug, Kerstin and Kamala all leave the house and walk over to Cole, Devi, Ella, Joe, Jill and Jacob.

"Hello, Joe!" Kamala says as she gives him a hug.

"Hello, Kamala." Joe says, kissing Kamala's cheek.

Kamala then puts Joe's hand on her baby bump, feeling Ivy to go kick around.

Jill smiles and gives Doug and Kerstin some hugs while holding Jacob.

"Hi, Jakey! Hi! I haven't seen you in a few months!" Kerstin says in a babyfied voice at Jacob.

"Eeeee!" Jacob's says causing Kerstin to smile ear to ear.

"Oh my gosh! He's talking!" Kerstin says as she kisses Jacob's cheek.

"Jacob has been learning new words like Mama, Dada and barking like a dog!" Jill says as she chuckles.

"Devi too! Our boys are growing up super fast." Doug says to Jill and Jill nods.

"Let's get going! We have two hungry babies and a baby girl who is kicking her Mama hard!" Joe says playfully to everyone.

"Right! And Joe, thanks for sending that doctor to check on me." Cole says as he gives Joe a hug.

"No worries. You, Ella, and Devi are grandchildren to us. I wanted to make sure you were alright. Bee stings are not a joke and Ashley got stung by one as a child when she was at day camp." Joe says to Cole.

"Joe love you, Ella, Devi and Ivy very much." Jill says with a grin.

"What about us?" Doug says playfully to Jill.

"We love all of you! We are family!" Jill says with a chuckle and smile.

"Exactly! Shall we go?" Kamala asks everyone.

"Yes!" Joe, Jill, Cole, Ella, Doug and Kerstin all say in unison to Kamala happily.

"Aaaaa!" Jacob and Devi both say in unison as they clap their hands.

"Even the babies agree!" Kerstin says while giggling.

Joe, Jill, Jacob, Devi, Doug, Kamala, Kerstin, Cole and Ella all load up in the two SUVS before the presidential motorcade heads to the restaurant, which is Clyde's of Georgetown! :)

Joe, Jill and Jacob all had a fun dinner and night out with Kamala, Doug, Devi, Cole, Ella and Kerstin!

Jill had a wonderful Mother's Day with her two favorite boys, favorite two pups and favorite cat :)
