Noiz's POV - Past:

The next day we did meet up at the Tournament, and we stood side-by-side all day, silently cheering one another on in the battles. She was quick, unpredictable and sarcastic in her battling style, and I found I still couldn't take my eyes off her; no matter how hard I tried. It was around a week later after the days battles had dispersed, we were walking down an alleyway behind the rest of Ruff Rabbit when she had turned to me with a nervous expression and said:

"Why- Why were you staring at me? I mean... when I was fighting I noticed you staring and it was kinda creepy so..."

"Because you're beautiful." The words slipped out of my mouth before I could calculate what I was saying, but when I thought about it; I couldn't have put it any other way.

"W-What?!"

"You're beautiful to me. I'm drawn to everything about you. I don't know why."

"What're you saying...?"

"I love you."

"Haha.. That's funny." She managed a weak laugh; her cheeks flushed deep red and her eyes sparkling with emotion. I stopped walking and stared at her when she turned to me, hoping, wishing, and begging; in my head that she would believe me. That she wouldn't run away. Maybe I even dared to hope that she'd love me back.

"M-me too." I pulled her into a hug and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before taking her hand and walking her back to her hotel; and we spent the whole night talking and laughing and drinking - it was utter paradise.

The Tournament Finals were the next day, and we both made it in the final battle - our AllMates pitted against each other with no real intention of fighting. I ended up walking off the battlefield, so Jinx won by default. It didn't matter; I wasn't bothered about winning the prize, but I was happier to see Jinx standing on the winning podium than I could have ever been holding the trophy.

We spent the night celebrating in a nearby pub, the rest of Ruff Rabbit warming to her likeable character and intelligence quickly, and then we returned to her hotel room and wasted away the night drenched in passion, heated exchanges of "I love you" whispered in the darkness of the room. I knew then that I would never be satisfied living on my own, but now I never had to. I loved this girl, more than I had ever loved anything - or anyone - else. I told her that that night, when we truly became one instead of two. I've told her every day since.
