Nineteen - in which Jace changes the ticket (AU)

A/N: I just changed the lyrics a little, where it was girl, I put boy, because, yeah. Also, a slight smut! warning, just in case. Enjoy :)x

------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Jace turned to his side, he felt the soft, white and fluffy blanket wrap around him. He cuddled into it. Hotel rooms could be heavenly sometimes. He mumbled in his sleep happily, when he heard a noise. "Again, Jace?" an annoyed voice said and Jace smiled, eyes still closed. He turned, facing the other way, and was faced with an angry brunette, who kept tugging at the blanket. Jace moved himself, so he freed it and then put his hands under his chin, whilst still looking at Simon. He was a dream in the morning. All ruffled up, by Jace of course, and sleepy, but so delicious he could eat him.

"Stop staring at me, it's creepy." Simon announced, pulling the blanket over his head. Jace chuckled lightly and pulled himself under the blanket, too, nuzzling closer to Simon. "I'm being adorable, is what you tried to say, but failed." Jace replied, smiling against Simon's skin. He inhaled his scent, the familiar mix of peppermint and cedar, with a little tinge of tea tree oil. His eyes raked over Simon's body, his fingers tracing the skin and stopping on the small bruises here and there, that he classified as a good nights work.

"Jace..." Simon mumbled, his eyes closed and voice sleepy. "Mhmm?" Jace replied, letting his fingers glide over Simon's collarbones. The brunette still refused to open his eyes, but when Jace's hand reached his mouth and his thumb went over his lower lip, Simon peered at him with one eye open. "Are we done sleeping?" he asked, defeated. Jace nodded and went up to kiss him. Simon rolled his eyes but let the blonde take his lips onto his, moving his hands to Jace's lower back. When Jace pulled back, he sighed happily. Simon took a hold of the blanket and ripped it off of them. He raked his hands through his hair. "I have to take a shower." he announced and Jace's face fell a little. He knew what came after that. He nodded curtly and watched as Simon scrambled out of bed.

After Simon had emerged from the shower, Jace was still naked in the bed, on his phone. He looked up, his eyes saddening immediately when he saw that Simon was now wearing his boxers. He got even sadder when Simon reached out to put on his jeans. When he reached for his shirt, Jace's hand landed on his, stopping him. "Jace..." Simon said with a warning, but the blonde stared at him, and without looking at it, threw the shirt farther onto the floor. He pulled at Simon's arm and made him tumble forward and back onto the bed.

Watching you get dressed messes with my head
Take that bag off your shoulder
Come get back in bed we still got time left
This don't have to be over

"Jace." Simon said again, this time his voice a little softer, but Jace shook his head. "Simon, come on. Why do you have to go?" he asked and kissed Simon's neck just below his ear, making the brunette shiver a little. Jace moved his lips over Simon's stomach, pushing him to lie on his back and Simon sighed loudly. "Jace, you know why." he replied and the blonde huffed, still against Simon's skin. "That's bullshit. They all know anyways. And we're still hiding? Why?" he asked.

He glanced up at Simon, who's eyes betrayed hesitance. "You know why." he replied, not convinced of his own words. Jace smiled wickedly. "Do you?" he asked back and Simon rolled his eyes. Jace bit down on his V-line and Simon yelped. "Don't roll your eyes at me, Simon. We're talking about this." Jace said with a low voice and Simon's eyes widened a little. "Right. Well, I can't talk when you-" he stammered back, faintly indicating to Jace with his hand. The blonde smiled. "But I like it here." he answered and kissed Simon's abdomen, letting his tongue glide over one of the bruises. Simon's breath hitched. "Jace, I can't think straight like this." he announced. The blonde looked up at him, his eyes full of amusement and disbelief and Simon smacked his own forehead. "Can't believe I just said that." he mumbled and Jace laughed.

And you say it's hard to keep a secret
Boy don't leave me all alone in this hotel
And these shades can hide us from the streets yeah
One weekend I'll promise that I'll never tell

Jace let his hand trail along Simon's inner thigh and the brunette sighed into his hands that were now covering his face. "Jace." he practically whined and the blonde smirked. "I'm not staying." he continued defiantly and Jace squeezed at his thigh a little. "Well, is it working even a little bit?" he asked, watching Simon as he glided his fingers over the brunette's jeans, where he was happy to see a bulge forming. "Maybe a little." Simon said and Jace leaned down, kissing his stomach while unbuttoning the jeans. When he pulled them down enough so he could get a good look at Simon, he bit his lip, caressing Simon with his fingers through his boxers. "Maybe a lot." Simon breathed out, watching him with lustful eyes.

"Hmm." Jace said, like he was thinking. Simon's eyebrow arched and he moved impatiently under him. "What?" he asked Jace and the blonde smiled. He shook his head. "Simon, you know what I want from you. When will you finally get, that I'm not going to wait forever." he said, his voice now a little sad. Simon's eyes softened and he looked apologetic. "Jace, you know why this is the way it is. I just-" he tried to say something else, but words failed him. He looked at Jace and the blonde stared back, lost in those brown eyes of his. Simon was truly someone he could've waited for, forever, but Simon didn't need to know that. Hell, he himself didn't need to know that.

You should probably stay, probably stay, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home
You should probably stay, be with me, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home

"I should probably go." Simon said now, his head tilted to the side as he observed Jace. "Probably." the blonde replied, his attention now back at Simon's lower region. Simon gasped when Jace leaned down and kissed him through the fabric. His head fell back and his muscles contracted, making Jace himself twitch a little. Simon was beautiful, but he was even more gorgeous when he was under Jace, withering and begging for him to never stop.

"Jace..." Simon breathed out and the blonde smiled against his skin. The sweet sound of his Simon, that he couldn't get enough of, made him feel alive. He removed his boxers, shoving them and the jeans onto the floor, while the morning sun sneaked in, shining on them both. When Jace stood up on his knees, his hands on Simon's hips, the light broke through the curtains and the soft, white sheets looked even whiter than before. Simon stared up at him, his eyes full of desire and sweet love. "You look beautiful, baby." he said sincerely, coming up to his elbows and reaching to tuck a strand of Jace's hair behind his ear. Jace leaned in to the touch, almost savoring it. He kissed the inside of Simon's palm and the brunette smiled.

Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
And it's not good to be all alone
So you should probably stay, be with me, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home

Jace leaned down, kissing Simon, feeling him under him, moving with him. Simon's hands went to Jace's hair, tugging at the golden strands and he loved it, when Jace moaned at the touch. Jace let his hands trail along the biceps on Simon's arms and he let his tongue dance with Simon's. When he pulled away, Simon chased after his lips, making the blonde one smirk. He went back down to his stomach, kissing it and he put his hands on Simon's hips, stopping him from moving. "Jace" Simon said again, every time it was music to the blonde's ears, because every time Simon said it a little differently. Right now, he could tell Simon was slightly out of breath, his voice was needy and yet, still so loving. He looked up and Simon's eyes were closed, but his lips were parted, his short breaths almost too loud in the oh so quiet room.

"Simon... Say you won't leave." Jace begged, kissing Simon's member after he spoke and the brunette arched his back with little effect, since Jace was still holding him down. He shook his head, unable to say anything, but Jace wouldn't budge. His tongue swirled at the tip before he let it glide up and down on Simon, making the brunette shiver under him. He let out a small, soft moan and his hands went to Jace's hair. When the blonde slowly and agonizingly went down, Simon's moans grew louder, until Jace was sure that even the people behind these hotel room walls could hear him. Just how he liked his Simon.

"Fuck..." Simon mumbled incoherent words, when Jace worked on him, just like he knew Simon liked because he knew everything about Simon. Not just how he liked to be treated in bed, but who he was as a person.

Don't play innocent, I know what you meant
When you said you'd come over
Aren't we way past that, playing hard to get
We did that when we were younger

Jace knew, that when they were still in college, they would pretend to hate each other so much, they eventually did. All Simon's friends hated him, every last one. When they got together, they hated him even more. And when Simon broke up with Jace, they blamed him. But Jace knew what Simon was really doing. He thought he was protecting him. They started seeing each other, in secret and Simon never showed him to his friends again. Jace didn't mind, he didn't like them anyway. But Simon grew to be more of an affair than a relationship.

He knew that it could be over when he moved to LA, but Simon kept coming to him, unable to stay away. They met up and Simon would leave, promising every time, that the next time will be the one where he stays, permanently. And here they were again, for the millionth time, going in the same circle yet again.

Jace knew Simon so well, that he never questioned him. But now, all he could do was question him. Because it was starting to hurt. Because no matter how much Jace tried to deny it, he was falling in love with Simon all over again, and it hurt to let him leave, every single time.

And you say it's hard to keep a secret
Boy don't leave me all alone in this hotel
And these shades can hide us from the streets yeah
One weekend I'll promise that I'll never tell

He removed himself from Simon, who was a mess under him and looked him over. The way his back arched when Jace did wonders on him, was so familiar, it hurt. The way his toes curled, when Jace let his hand squeeze on his hips so forcefully, they would bruise. The way Simon breathed out his name in a desperate attempt to stop him, or make him keep going, or anything, it was like a sweet melody that haunted him, even when Simon was long gone. The way his brown eyes stared at his mismatched one's, meaning behind them thick and almost unbearable, the promises they made just out of reach, but Jace loved it all. He loved it all and he prayed Simon would love it all just the same. So he'd stay.

"Promise, you'll stay." Jace said again, moving over Simon, sitting on his lap and making Simon arch up again, trying to get closer. "I promise." Simon breathed out, his hand going to Jace's hips and the blonde tilted his head. He had become accustomed to not believing Simon. After all, how could he? Because here they were, almost like they were a few weeks ago, and nothing had changed. Except the way Jace felt about Simon.

He leaned down again, this time moving his lips to Simon's ear, grazing his teeth over the earlobe and Simon whimpered under him. Every little detail of his body, Jace knew about. He knew how to make him react. He knew what buttons to push, yet he had no idea how he could make Simon stay. It never seemed to be enough.

You should probably stay, probably stay, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home
You should probably stay, be with me, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home

"Jace...Babe..." Simon muttered under his breath and he tilted his chin, so he could look Jace in the eyes. "You have the most amazing eyes, you know that?" he said, kissing the tip of his nose, smiling. "I know, Si, you say that every time." Jace laughed, setting his palm on Simon's chest. "It's true." Simon said, his hand now going to Jace's lower back and he pushed him down on him, to feel his skin on him. Jace shuffled his legs, so they were firmly against Simon's hips. He leaned down and kissed Simon, at the same time slowly pushing himself into Simon.

A few cursewords fell from Simon's lips and Jace smiled. He loved it when Simon cursed. He was usually so reserved. So sweet and shy and innocent. But not with Jace, never with him.

Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
And it's not good to be all alone
Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
Come on let me change your ticket home

"Promise me." Jace said again, not even knowing why. He just needed to hear the truth in his voice. Simon's eyes fell shut, but he breathed out raggedly. "Yes, fuck, yes, I promise." he said in a string of words, when Jace moved steadily, making Simon lock his legs around him. Jace watched as Simon moaned and begged under him, watched as the beautiful boy unraveled at his touch and became a mess. He leaned down, biting on Simon's collarbone, making the brunette scream out his name.

Jace was rough with Simon, sometimes. But mostly, he was very, very caring and sweet. This time, he wanted it to be both. He wanted Simon to promise, the only way to get him to do that was to be rough. But he wanted Simon to know he loved him, so the only way to do that was to be sweet and slow. Jace moved in a slow pace, but his mouth and hands were all over Simon, scratching and biting, multiplying the bruises and bitemarks that were already there. Simon screamed in pleasure when Jace yelled his name, over and over again.

Why don't we take some time?
Why don't we take just a little more time?
Why don't we make it right?
Boy I don't wanna say goodbye

The white sheets around them were tangled in every way, the blanket on the ground looked like a pile of snow on a winters day. When Jace lied next to Simon, breathing like he had just ran a marathon, he hummed contently, watching the brunette come down from his high. When he opened his eyes, Jace smiled at him sweetly. "I promise." Simon said again, pulling Jace closer to him. And Jace heard it in his voice.

"You mean it?" he asked, unable to push down the sense of hope. Simon entwined their hands, studying them. Simon's was slightly paler than Jace's but the blonde's were more calloused than his. He ran his thumb over Jace's knuckles and the blonde shivered. Simon could do anything to him, and he would let him. He felt incredibly safe with him, when Simon held him close and kissed his forehead.

You should probably stay, probably stay, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home
You should probably stay, be with me, a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home

"Jace, I love you. I do, I love you so much. It's like your air to me. I can't stop breathing you in." Simon said, still holding him, his words slightly muffled by Jace's shoulder. The blonde pulled back from him, his hand going to Simon's cheek.

"Simon? Is this a dream?" he asked, disbelief in his voice. "No, baby. I'm here. You're here. And I'm not going. I'm staying." Simon said, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Jace smiled back at him. "I love you, Simon." he replied simply, but his fingers went to Simon's hair, that were soft and way too messy, but he didn't care. His Simon promised, and finally, Jace believed him.

Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
And it's not good to be all alone
Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
Come on let me change your ticket home
