Chapter 9
"Jimin?" I turn around and see Taehyung standing at my bedroom door with a purple notebook in his hands.
"Yeah?" I ask, walking away from my window.
"Do you have a spare hour? I wanna work on the project we have for English, do you mind?" He asks as he takes a few steps into the room.
"Oh yeah I'm free, I'll get my notebook too." I smile, walking over to my desk and grabbing my white notebook with a cute panda on top. I walk over to Taehyung and sit in the middle of the floor with him.
"So, what's the project on again?" I ask, opening to a blank page.
"We have to write a poem." He shrugs.
"What kind of poem?" I ask, rolling my eyes.
"A good one." He grins. I scoff and think for a few minutes. What would be a good poem...
"What about a poem about your parents? About missing them?" He asks hesitantly. I ponder on the option for a second before shrugging.
"Sure, but get ready for some depressing shit." I shrug. He looks at me a little bewildered before whistling.
"Okay damn." He mumbles. I shake my head with a grin and start writing on my paper.
(A/N so this is gonna be like... a mix of their different songs English lyrics. Play a fun game if you must.)
I miss you, saying this makes me miss you even more. Even though I'm looking at our photo, time is so cruel. How long do I have to wait, how many sleepless night do I have to spend till I can see you, till I can meet you.
The sunlight that rose in my life, the reincarnation of my childhood dreams
This dream is like a blue mirage, a priori deep inside me, my surroundings are getting more and more transparent.
Our goodbye is colorless, that unchanging color. You must feel nice to be the light, I receive it till I die, your stifling stare. My cold heart is 248 degrees below zero, it stopped the day you erased me, damn.
I wish my weaknesses could be hidden, I grew a flower that can't be bloomed in a dream that can't come true.
I want to hold your hand, picking that blue flower. Because I can't come to you, there's no name you can call me. I'm so afraid that you will leave me in the end, but you already did. Maybe back then, a little, just this much, if I had the courage to stand before you, would everything be different now? I'm crying at this, disappeared, fallen, looking at my broken mask. I still want you.
"Jimin?" Taehyung asks. I look up and realize there's a wet spot on my page. I touch my cheek and realize a few tears are sliding down.
"Shit." I mutter, sniffing and wiping my tears with my sleeve.
"Are you okay?" He asks, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, this is just-" I take a deep breath and let it out "-making me think of the last day I spent with my parents. I was at school of course. They told me they loved me and I just walked out the door. Maybe if I had stayed behind a few more minutes.. they would've gotten to work later, and everything would be pushed. Everything would be different." I shrug, taking in a shaky breath.
"Oh... well if you had done that, then you wouldn't have met us, right? Could you really go without knowing us?" He asks with a playful pout.
"No, I couldn't." I smile, putting my pencil down.
"Good answer. Are you done though?" He asks, pointing to my poem. I nod my head and he takes my notebook, reading over it. I watch as his face softens, his eyebrows doing a small dance every time his expression changes.
"Jimin... this is really good. If you presented this with a good emotion and voice, this could be super powerful." He says, a little shocked.
"Can I read yours?" I ask. He nods his head and I take his poem, skimming over it.
(A/N DNA lyrics babes)
"Wow... do you have a secret crush I don't know about?" I tease him. He looks away with a small smile.
"Oh my God Taehyung tell me!!" I exclaim, grabbing his shoulders.
"No way you Pabo." He laughs, pushing me off.
"Why!!! I wanna know!" I whine. Before he could answer, my phone starts ringing. I grab it from my bed and open up the video chat.
"Jimin!!" Taemin grins, seeing my face after what seems like forever.
"Hi Taemin!!" I smile, waving a little.
"What are you up to? Got some time to talk?" He asks. I look up to Taehyung and smirk.
"Wanna test out your Korean skills?" I ask Taemin. He looks shocked and slowly nods his head. I move and sit beside Taehyung, holding the camera out in front of us.
"Taemin, this is Taehyung, Taehyung, Taemin." I switch from English to Korean.
"Yeoboseyo!" Taemin says hello.
"Hey, so you're the famous Taemin I see." He chuckles. Taemin looks to me with his jaw open.
"Jimin, he's fucking hot." Taemin gasps, fixing his hair.
"Yah! He's my brother, shut it." I laugh.
"What'd he say?" Taehyung asks, looking confused.
"Nothing Tae." I chuckle. Before I know it, I hear the other 5 guys running up the stairs and into my room.
"Who's that?" Hoseok asks, motioning to my phone.
"Taemin." I grin. They all gasp and eagerly make their way to my phone, introducing themselves.
"Hey Taemin, I'm Namjoon. I'm the only one who can speak English other than Jimin here, so heyo from Korea." Namjoon laughs, waving into the camera.
"Oh, nice to... uh kind of meet you Namjoon." Taemin laughs, waving back.
We all continue to talk about school, time zones, and drama. The boys introduce themselves and talk a lot about each other and... they all cut me out of a conversation as all 7 of them talk about how "cute" I am at one point. I don't even know how it started. I already know the boys love Taemin and Jin already says he can visit whenever. After about 2 hours we finally say goodbye and hang up, my phone almost being dead.
"I like him, he's nice." Jin smiles.
"I agree, he's intelligent too." Namjoon grins, sitting on my bed. I get up and plug my phone into my charger and lay sprawled out on the floor on my stomach.
"Well he lives in Canada, so don't expect a visit from him anytime soon. Plus he's like... 13 hours behind us, so don't expect a lot of video chats from him." I lazily say into the carpet.
"Aweee." Hoseok whines. I laugh, Taehyung crawling over to me.
"Hi Tae." I grin. He grins back, then lays on top of me.
"This is actually comfortable." I tsk, making him pout.
"Whatever." He chuckles.
"Who wrote this?" I hear Yoongi say. I move my head to see him holding my notebook.
"Uh, me." I say, raising a foot as a substitute for my hand. I watch Jungkook looks at me and chuckle before looking back to Yoongi.
"This is really good." He compliments.
"Ahha, thanks." I grin.
"I wanna see!" Jungkook says in a baby voice, hopping over to Yoongi. The others follow, Taehyung staying on top of me.. sadly.
"Woah Jimin, this really is good!" Namjoon gasps. taking the book into his grasp
"Yeah, who knew our mochi could be so good at writing poems." Jin smiles.
"Is it about your parents?" Hoseok asks, looking down at Taehyung and I.
"Yeah." I say quietly. They all look to me and their faces soften. There's a small silence that takes over us before Mr.Bastion comes in.
"Jimin I-" He stops, looking at us all, Taehyung on top of me.
"Um.. bad timing?" He asks, walking in.
"No, what's up?" I ask, slipping out from under Taehyung.
"How the hell did he-" Hoseok looks to Taehyung and shrugs.
"Well... I wanted to give you a key to a spare room." Mr.Bastion starts.
"Why does he need another room?" Yoongi asks, crossing his arms.
"Because we're moving Jimin's parents boxes there." He replies.
"That's not necessary, and it's Master Jimin." Hoseok rolls his eyes.
"Right- Master Ji-" I cut Mr.Bastion off.
"Guys stop, I told him to call me Jimin. I don't like being called master, it's weird. And if they need or want to move my parents stuff to another room it's perfectly fine." I cross my arms and stand in front of my amazing new friend.
"Jimin, it's just the rules. He has to call you Master Jimin." Namjoon sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"No he doesn't." I shrug.
"Yes he does, it's the rules." The 6 of them say together.
"I don't give a flying fuck about the rules! He isn't just your slave, he's a human being as well! It's my personal preference in not being called master, and he respects that. And I want you to respect that too!" I yell back, placing my foot down, literally. They all sigh and mumble under their breaths.
"Fine." Namjoon groans. I turn to Mr.Bastion and he's got a surprised expression displayed on his face.
"They key, please?" I ask, holding out my hand. He reaches in his pocket, hands me the key and I strut out, him following close behind.
"Jimin.. that was.. how do you say, bad ass." Jay chuckles, walking beside me.
"Well thank you. I just want them to know that you're a human too Jay. It's not that hard to not be called master, like ugh!" I huff, throwing my arms in the air for exaggeration.
"Haha yes well still, thank you." He smiles, stopping us at a door.
"You're welcome." I say with a little nod. I unlock the door and open it to a small room with a single window. I pause, looking around.
"It.. it looks like my parents room at home." I whisper, taking a step in. The same ashy brown wooden flooring, the same cream colored walls my mother loved, the same single spotlessly clean window sill that my father would always call Taemin and I in for supper from our backyard. The same little white shelf above a small queen sized bed, covered in a light blue, almost white blanket I would hide under if I was scared as a child. Everything is the same...
I look at Jay, a smile on his face.
"Before they moved your parents stuff out, they might very taken a few photos of how the room looked. We had a room here, made it look the same and dressed it up. We're moving your parents things in here to display and lay out, making it more, homey for you." He says, walking into the room with me trailing very close behind.
"Jay... this is amazing." I whisper, swiping my hand across the blankets on the bed.
"Don't thank me, I just gave you a key. Master Lee got it set up for you. Plus there were maids who put everything together." He shrugs.
"Well.. tell them I'm very grateful." I smile.
"I'll give you a minute." He smiles. I nod my head and he walks out of the room. I silently and slowly walk around the room, looking at everything that's so familiar. They seriously got everything right, and with the items in the boxes, it'll be just like home.
Home.
Where Taemin is...
