Tantrum at the toy store

After all the boys had been through the past day or so, Jimin decided to treat them to a trip to the toy store. He had also just earned a lot of money through some at-home projects he did. See, Jimin loved drawing and art, so he would paint paintings for people, and every so often he would get a big commission and he would earn a large sum of money all at once. He recently had a commission that he got several thousand won for, so he decided to treat his children.

The kids didn't even know where they were going; they were just ushered to the car, but Jimin could hear their excited squeals once they saw the toy store.
"Alright guys, calm down." Jimin said with a smile, as he pulled into the carpark.
"Remember this is a treat, ok? I'm going to let you pick out what ever you want but don't go over board, yes?" Jimin says sternly. He wasn't about the spend the only money he has on only the kids.
"YES!" The two say in unison with a nod. They're already ecstatic.

They walked in, Yoongi holding one hand and Jungkook holding the other. They both looked wide eyed at the rows and rows of toys. Jimin made sure to hold their hands tightly before they run off in opposite directions and he loses them both.
"Where do you wanna go first?" Jimin asks.
"IRON MAN!" Jungkook interrupts, already pulling Jimin in that direction.
"Alright kookie I'm coming just slow down." Jimin says with a smile. Seeing his boys happy is one of his favorite things is the whole world.

They walk down the aisle together, Jungkooks wide eyes absorbing all the Ironman toys he's surrounded by. He wants all of them. He scans every single thing on the shelves, trying to decide what he wants. In the end he reaches up on his tippytoes and grabs an Ironman doll, and hands it to Jimin.
"Good choice kookie." Jimin says. It was quite expensive, but he allowed Jungkook to pick out another small toy to go with it. Of course Jungkook heads straight for the most expensive toy. A car.
"I'm sorry jungkookie that's too expensive. Choose something a bit smaller." Jimin said. He already knew what was coming.
"Nooooo I want it!" Jungkook replied with a whine. Here we go.
"I'm sorry kookie it's too expensive. You can get it next time when daddy has more money ok?" Jimin tries staying soft for now, hoping he'll understand. But of course, kookie being the trouble maker he is....
"NO I WANT IT TODAY!" He stops his feet with a pouty face. Jimin had to be firm now. He wasn't about to make a fool of himself in the middle of the toy store.
"Jungkook. I've told you once already. You can get it another time. If you don't listen to me and stop this tantrum then you won't get anything. You hear me? So stop whining." Jimin says firmly, crouching down to his level. But, Jungkook being Jungkook, didn't listen. He screamed and burst into angry tears, jumping on the spot. He ends up lying on the floor, kicking around angrily. Jimin firmly lifts him up, not messing around. He stands him up, holding his arms.
"Do you want the iron man doll or not? If you don't stop this tantrum I'll put it back and only Yoongi will get something." This just made Jungkook flip out even more. Jimin had enough. He was going to stick to his word. He put the Ironman doll right back and dragged Jungkook out of the aisle, who was still screaming bloody murder.

"What do you want Yoongi?" Jimin says lovingly, trying to ignore the screaming child the other side of him. Yoongi looked at Jungkook and then up at Jimin with wide eyes.
".... but what about kookie?" He says quietly.
"Don't worry about him yoongs he's just having a strop. Just pick out what you want." Yoongi starts wondering around the store, looking for toys that he wants, while Jimin just wordlessly drags Jungkook along, lifting him up every time he refuses to walk. Jungkook goes from just angry to desperate. He'd been crying and screaming so much that his throat was hurting and he was coughing in between sobs.
"Daddyyyyy." He cried, trying to get his attention, but Jimin carried of ignoring him. He wouldn't talk to him until he had calmed down. Yoongi kept looking sadly at Jungkook, feeling guilty that he was getting a treat when Jungkook got his taken away. Nevertheless he was smart enough to know that Jungkook was being bad. He wondered down the aisle full of stuffed toys, staring wide eyed while Jungkook screamed mercilessly next to him. A mother was there with her daughter, and came over to Jimin, who was clearly struggling having to deal with Jungkook.
"Did someone not get the toy he wanted?" She says with a chuckle.
"Yeah, it was too expensive." Jimin says with a smile back. All the while Jungkook was still screaming and clinging to his leg.
"Do you want some money to help pay for it?" She said out of the blue.
"Nonono it's ok. I don't want him to become entitled and think he gets everything he wants. He needs to learn that he can't always get everything he wants." Jimin replies.
"You seem like a wonderful father." She said with a warm smile.
"Oh, thank you." He replied.
"Where's their mother? Out working?" She asks.
"Y-Yeah, she's working abroad in America, so she hasn't been home for about a year now." Jimin said, getting quiet.
"Oh, well I hope she comes home to see you soon. It must be hard dealing with these two on your own. Especially that cheeky monkey." She said, motioning to Jungkook, just starting to calm down a little.
"Yeah, it's rough sometimes but it's a blessing." Jimin said, his heart clenching. He loved his kids so much no matter how hard it was.
"Well, I wish you the best of luck in the future. They look like wonderful children. Despite the tantrum." She says with a giggle, grabbing her daughters hand and leading them out of the aisle.

Jimin looked down at Jungkook, whose anger had dissipated and he was now just crying. He crouched down and lifted Jungkook up so he was standing.
"Do you have anything to say to me?" Jimin asked with a softer voice.
"S-s-Sorry d-dad." He said, still crying. Jimin hugged him tightly, accepting his apology.
"You know you can't always have everything you want, yeah?" Jimin said, wiping away Jungkooks tears. Jungkook nodded solemnly.
"We can go back and get that Ironman doll again, and you can choose something else small, yes?" Jimin says, and Jungkook nods.
"Did you pick out what you want yet yoongz?" Jimin said, turning to Yoongi who was still staring wide eyed at all the teddy bears surrounding him. Yoongi pointed up at a rainbow coloured bear and cutely said "this one!" Jimin went and got it off the shelf and handed it to Yoongi who smiled a wide gummy smile and hugged the fluffy bear. Yoongi had always preferred the more stereotypically female toys, but Jimin didn't mind, cause truth be told he was the same when he was younger too.
"Ok kookie lets go get Ironman." Jimin said, taking Yoongi's hand and speed walking after Jungkook who had dashed back to the aisle already.

By the time Jimin caught up with him Jungkook was already clutching the Ironman doll tightly in his hands with a smile.
"Do you want to pick out something small honey?" Jimin asked, and surprisingly Jungkook shook his head.
"No, we should save for the car." He said with a bright smile, and Jimin chuckled a little.
"Yes, of course. Let's go to the check out then."

When they got home Jungkook went straight to his room, calling for Jimin to help him open the box so he could play with his Ironman toy right away. As soon as Jimin opened the box Jungkook grabbed the toy and lifted it up in the air as if it were flying.
"Will you be alright in here on your own for a bit kookie?" Jimin asked, and Jungkook just nodded, already deep in his imagination. Jin turned and left, closing the door behind him, and checked on Yoongi quickly before heading to his own room. He pulls out his phone and calls his wife.
"Uuhhh, hi?" Jimin says awkwardly. Why he was so nervous he didn't know.
"Hi jimin! How's it going?" She responds.
"Yeah it's alright. Kids are trouble as usual." Jimin said with a chuckle.
"Are you disciplining them right?" She asks, chuckling slightly too.
"I think so. At least I hope so. Jungkook is just a trouble maker and always will be." Jimin said.
"Aahhhh yes. Our little cheeky monkey. What about Yoongi? Is he well behaved?" She asked.
"Yeah for the most part he's a little sweetheart. He'll have the odd tantrum but other than that he's an angel." Jimin said with a smile.
"What have you been up to today then?" She asks.
"Oh, I just got paid for a commission for someone, so I took them to the toy store." Jimin said, awkwardly fiddling with the bedsheets he was sat on.
"You spoil them too much Jimin! That's why Jungkook is such a trouble maker!" She says with a chuckle. "Maybe try saving that money for something more important next time."
"Yeah yeah I will don't worry." Jimin replies.
"Uhhh, I know I ask you this all the time but... when will you come home? The kids miss you and I miss you. A lot. Don't you have any vacation days you could come back during? Even if it's just a few days?" Jimin said, awkwardly.
"And I always tell you this back.i can't Jimin. All the over time I do, it's for you. It's so you can have enough money for you and the kids to survive. Maybe if one day you get a real job, then I can come back." She says sternly.
"But what about Yoongi? He's not in school yet. I can't leave him here alone all day." Jimin says. He already knew what she was going to say. He'd heard it a thousand times.
"Get a babysitter!! It's not that hard Jimin! Get a baby sitter who can take care of the kids while you're gone! Or send them to daycare or something. Is it really that hard?" She practically shouts down the phone.
"No it's not. I don't know who I can trust. You know there are stories of babysitters abusing kids and stuff. I don't wanna come home to an abused child! Or even worse a dead one! Are you not worried about that at all?" Jimin shouts back.
"No. No I'm not. Because that's ridiculous Jimin. If someone was hired to be a nanny in the first place then they're trust worthy. Just look for one with experience, then you know they can be trusted because they've worked with other kids. Stop being so ridiculous Jimin." She argues. Jimin just sighs, running his hands through his hair.
"Ok ok, I'll try and get a job or whatever. But you should know that it's much harder than it looks. It's gonna take a while."
"That's why you should've been searching since years ago! Then you would have a job and I could come back and see you. You care about the kids more than seeing me, is that it?" She asks angrily.
"WELL YES IF THEIR DAMN LIVES COULD BE AT STAKE! ID RATHER HAVE MY CHILDREN BE SAFE AND ALIVE IF IT MEANT I COULDNT SEE YOU AGAIN!" Jimin shouted, louder than he should have. He realised after he said it that he really shouldn't have said it.
"You better get yourself in check Jimin. You know if this argument lasts any longer, I could stop sending money to you. Then what would you do huh? Start acting like an adult Jimin, you are one." She said before hanging up. Jimins heart sank to his stomach. He could have put his kids in more danger just by shouting at her like that.

Then he looked up and saw Yoongi standing in the door way.
