"Stuuupid." Jungkook is mad at Jimin who's aiding him right now in the aid room. "Why act all nice now?"
Sitting with an exasperated expression Jimin grimaces with the antiseptic cream on his palm, "Are you still hung up on that? C'mon Kook."
Stunned, Jungkook scrunches his brows up, "You literally left me to die in the middle of the road, how do you expect–"
"—Left you dying? Aren't you being too dramatic? no—"
"—You care about that right now? I was about to die!"
"Except for the part you didn't die."
"Stupid."
Jimin sighs, drops his hands, "It's pointless arguing about this."
Jungkook lets out a pout. Hates how Jimin is always lecturing him. Bickering with him. Always asking him to not act like a kid when he's just a grown kid. Just a little playful one.
"Now be nice." Jimin tries again, picks up Jungkook's wrist. Places it on his lap. Slowly twists his hand to a 20 degree angle to aid his elbow. As he daps the cotton pad on his scrape Jungkook winces in tiny. Jimin regretting to run away in the first place that caused this. He softly daps this time. His focus on aiding him only.
It's lunchtime and Jimin is using it to help Jungkook. It's situations like this that Jungkook can't really argue with Jimin. He's his best friend and knows he cares about him. A lot. But the part where he tries to be his mom makes him go feral.
The bandage is now tied on Jungkook's elbow. Jimin tries searching for any more scrapes to clean on him only to find a tiny one on his forehead.
He uses his palm to lift his bangs up. Looks properly at the mark. It's a little deep. Curses in his head. He should've been more careful.
There's little sunlight peeking through the window that falls on Jungkook's eyes. His brown doe eyes shine as he is blinking up at Jimin.
Parting his hair with his index Jimin tucks them up in a clip. Glances down at the cotton ball and uses the disinfectant to clean the wound. Blows a little bit so it doesn't sting from the touch. He's profoundly busy in aiding him until Jungkook notices how deeply he cares for him.
Before Jimin picks up on the bandaid Jungkook reaches for Jimin's face. The time halts for him. His eyes fall over Jungkook's fingers that brush against his cheekbones and trace up to his bangs only to brush them away from his eyes. "It's funny to see you act clumsily" Jungkook refers to Jimin not even noticing his hair all messed up and falling in front of his eyes.
Jimin blinks at him and Jungkook flutters his eyes up at him to see something shift in Jimin's eyes. The intensity of his gaze increasing. The eye contact stays for few good seconds until Jimin immediately whips his head away and gets busy uncovering the bandage.
His fingers mess up. The bandage gets stuck on its other end and he's crushing it. Tries finding another one until Jungkook palms his hands. "Hey," and the touch electrifies Jimin into his core. He slaps his hand away that instant.
Jungkook is surprised. Startled at his sudden move. Retracts his hand away and Jimin shuts his eyes tight. Opens them and hands over the bandaid to Jungkook. "Don't touch my hair again," he doesn't meet eyes with him, and gets up. Dusts his hand away.
"Jimin?" Jungkook calls and Jimin groans, looks at him unbelievably, "Can you not? Grow up."
Jungkook frowns, "Why do you keep doing me like that?"
Jimin rolls his eyes, licks his lips, brushes his bangs covering his forehead and clenches his jaw. "I've gotta be somewhere."
The response only makes Jungkook mad. "You should stop being an ass for once, at least." He complains, snatches the cover of the bandaid from aid box and gets to his feet. Looks at his reflection through a glass window and sticks the bandaid on his forehead.
Jimin is quiet. As for Jungkook he walks past him and knocks his shoulders against him. Is totally mad.
"Yah, Jungkook." Jimin knows he overreacted given the situation. Shouldn't have acted that way. "Look I–" when he reaches to hold him back—Jungkook jerks his hand away and whips his body back, "–What the hell is your problem?"
And so Jimin parts his lips to speak but can't.
"Honestly lay off with the constant nagging, it's seriously getting on my nerves!" Jungkook lashes out at Jimin who's standing guilty. "I'm sorry you felt that way. You just make me worry." Jimin glances down, licks his dry lips, "It's like you know–you might not realize but you're just so clumsy that it makes me worry."
"But that doesn't mean—" when Jungkook is about to argue Jimin cuts him, eyes up, forehead creased, "–No look what you did to yourself today," His eyes counting all the bruises he got today, "And you expect me to not nag at you?"
Sighing, Jungkook gives in, "I get that but Jimin..." he runs fingers through his hair, processes thoughts, "-but you see constantly reminding me about me being all kiddish or clumsy doesn't help, it makes me furious."
"What do you expect me to do otherwise?"
"—If you want me to act like an adult then start treating me like one." Jungkook expresses, "Maybe then I will–"
"–Oh you guys are here!" The doors bash open to Jimin's girlfriend getting in the aid room. Her eyes scan both Jimin and Jungkook with worry. "Jesus, the rumours had me worried."
Jungkook and Jimin in sync question her, "What rumours?"
"About you two getting into an accident." She comes closer towards Jimin, her eyes finding bruises visible to the naked eye, "oh you look fine." As her hands glide around Jimin's arm he gently pulls them off and smiles softly, "I'm alright. Sorry for making you worry."
She steps back getting the feeling that Jimin was not comfortable, "Oh–right" her head now lifts up towards Jungkook, and she happens to find little scratches and bandages on him. Her mouth gaping a little. "Hope you're alright?"
Jungkook shake his head as he smiles softly at her. "I'm good. Just little scratches here and there. Thanks for asking."
"Oh no worries." Jimin's girlfriend, nods at Jungkook, now facing Jimin who pays no attention to the conversation, is glancing outside, more precisely zoning out.
Little disappointed at his behaviour Sora decides to leave by herself until Jungkook stops her, "Oh-Sora, you're going for lunch right?"
The question takes Jimin's attention, he frowns at the sudden interest of Jungkook's intentions regarding Sora's lunch plans. She blinks unexpectedly at him, "Yes?"
"Lovely," Jungkook smiles, palms his hand on Jimin's arms. Jimin's eyes fall over Jungkook's hand touching him firmly now.
"He was hungry ya know haha, you should have lunch together, I gotta be somewhere." Jungkook pulls up a stunt of letting them two have lunch together. Now that Jimin has a girlfriend it's not always fine to take him along for lunch anymore. It's not fair to her.
But all Jimin at that point was disheartened.
"Yeah?" With hope Sora blinks up at Jimin who's not interested in doing that at all, but gives in since it came upon him and rejecting it would only sadden her.
"Sure." He mumbles anyhow and suddenly a bright smile appears on Sora's lips. Eyes lightening up at him. "Thank you."
Jimin suddenly gets taken aback, feels bad, realizes there was no need for her to thank him for that. It was eventually a need to do as her boyfriend. He bites his lips in a thin line, rests his hand behind her back, "There's no need to thank me, it's okay." He smiles, "Also, will you come with me to my class? I'll grab my wallet."
A blush creeps up on her cheeks. Her shoulders stiffening up when Jimin doesn't gets his hands off her back, and his eyes softening up for her. "If you're thinking of buying lunch, don't." She asserts, "Allow me to return the favour since you spent a lot on the last date we had."
He chuckles, "It doesn't matter, I want to–"
"Just come with me." She is restraining a big smile on her face as she wraps her arms around Jimin's hand and drags him out. Well, Jimin lets her. Glances behind at Jungkook and apologizes in a whisper as Jungkook shakes his head and bids him off, feeling a little off by sending his buddy away.
Seems like he's gotta eat by himself today, he thinks but no, he couldn't, instead got all the girls swarming around him with 'get well soon' tiffin packages on his seat, leaving him speechless.
Although he understands Jimin is sometimes acting a jerk he's still a good person. He just can't come to think that yes although Jungkook might be clumsy he knows and is aware of what he does.
And if he was not wrong, maybe, it was nice of Jimin to have a girlfriend to focus more on rather than him, Jungkook.
