I can't believe I saw Yusuf today.the minut I saw him I felt my heart break again and I remembered everything as if he knew he apologized and I just had to pretend I wasn't still angry.oh ya Allah why why do I have to run into the both of them all in a period of 1 month I thought they are out of my life for good but I guessed wrong.
My phone rang and it brought me out of my thought it was an unknown caller I didn't want to pick but I thought maybe it is one of the vendors for the wedding so I picked.
"Hello am I talking to jiddarh please" the caller said.
"Yes it is her who is it please?"
"Um hey it's Yusuf" my eyes instantly grew wide like what the how did he get my number why is he calling me why is his voice so sexy oh no
"Um hey Yusuf how did you get my number"
"Well that's a story for another day I called because I am really glad I ran into you today and I know you said I don't have to but I think I need to apologize for what happened.look jiddarh I was young and immature and stupid and many things and I am so sorry for what I did to you 5 years ago you didn't deserve that at all if only I could turn back time I would change what I did but I can't I can only beg for your forgiveness"he said . What he said really got to me I guess he was really sorry and i think it's time I forgive him even God forgives us for our sins who am I not to forgive him.
"Is okay I forgive you but I can't lie seeing you today made me remember everything and it brought back the anger but after your apology I feel like I have 100% percent forgiven you now"
"Wow that's great that's amazing you have no idea how happy that makes me jiddarh .so does that mean we are friends now"
"Um not really but we aren't strangers either"
"Okay then at least save my number because I would like to be calling you"
"Okay I will after the call"
"So how has life been what school are you now and how are the wedding preparation"
"Life has been Alhamdulilah I am in baze university 200lvl pol.science and how did you know about the wedding"
"Wow that's good jiddarh is now a university babe and Abdul told me about the wedding we have mutual friends so we are also kinda friends now not like before thou.he even invited me but unless you invite me yourself I won't come"
"That's good I am glad you and Abdul are friends again I know how close you both wore and for a while I felt guilty you weren't friends because of me and since Abdul invited you you should come you don't need another invite from me"
"No it wasn't because of you it was because of me but no need to dwell in the past anymore since we have all forgiven eachother and I will take that as your way of inviting me"
"Okay then Allah ya kaimu bikin lfy ( may we reach the wedding well)"
"I think I should get back to work now I just called to clear things"
"Oh wow you work already that's good"
"Yes I work in MULAN oil company the Abuja headquarters"
"Wow Yusuf that is great that's one of the biggest oil companies in Nigeria right now Allah ya bada saa(may God help you)"
"Ameen Reina (queen in Spanish) anytime you are free you can stop by I will show you around or call me to come pick you up"
"Alright then I will consider that after the wedding and what is Reina what does that mean"
"Lol I can't ever call you with your name you know and as for the meaning of Reina I will tell you someday but not today.have a nice day Reina and don't forget to save my number bye"
He said and ended the call I found myself smiling Yusuf is still such a sweet talker gosh.just then Amina entered my room looking all glammed up.
"Sup girl how are you,oo she is smiling today wow what happened"she said
"So many questions"
"I see is it because you meet Yusuf today and Ibrahim is giving you all his attention"she said and winked at me. Yes I told her everything she is my best friend of course I tell her but she doesn't know he just called me now.
"Don't even start with me we just finished speaking with Yusuf I don't know how he got my number but he called and we spoke.he asked for my forgiveness and I forgave him"
"Wow Iyyeh I am so happy finally you are letting someone into your life"
"No I am not letting anyone anywhere we are just forgiven eachother,and why are you so dressed up anyway where are you going to"
"Oh yea I am going out with kabir he asked me out on a date"
"Who is kabir"I asked confused
"The guy at the restaurant the other day the one I told you gave me his number we started chatting and now we are cool"
"Oh that annoying guy"
"His not annoying and I really like him I want to give him a chance but seeing as he approached you first I wanted to ask if you are okay with it"
"Of course I am girl I want you to be happy and if you think he is the one go for it"
"Alright thank you babe"she said and hugged me.
"Let me call him and see if he is almost here"She said again.

Jiddarhs pov
Finally the day is here maryam and Sadiq are getting married tomorrow the bridal shower is today ,then kamu tomorrow afternoon then the dinner is tomorrow night. The house is so full with relatives who came for the wedding I am happy because I get to see people I haven't seen in a while . It's almost time so my friends are in my room getting ready while some are with maryam in her house we finished getting ready and we went out to go all of a sudden my car refused to start I tried and tried but it didn't start we were three who were supposed to go with my car me ,Amina and Sadiya (a coursemate of ours) just then a car entered our compound I recognized the car. He parked and stepped out
"Sallamu Alaikum yan mata" (peace be unto you young ladies) he said.
"Wa alaikum sallam"(peace be unto you too)we all replied
"Wow jiddarh you looks extremely beautiful Masha Allah" yusuf said
"Thank you,em this is Amina and this is my course mate Sadiya"I said introducing them to each other .
"This is the famous Amina our besty so nice to me to meet you in person and nice to meet you to"he said the last part turning to Sadiya and she blushed she couldn't stop staring at him since he stepped out the car but yusuf didn't even notice her
"Nice to meet you too famous yusuf" Amina said to yusuf. "Jidds I think we should just order an Uber maryam is waiting already"she said talking to me .
"Uber? What is wrong with your car"yusuf asked
"I don't know it refused to start"I replied
"Um ok I can drop you off then come back and call my mechanic to fix your car then when you are done I will bring you home by that time the car is fixed and you will start driving it tomorrow" he said.
"No need you just got here and you want to leave no go in am sure you came to talk to Abdul" I said
"That wasn't a request I am telling you what is going to Happen now get in the car so you don't get more late. Ladies shall we"he said then went to open his car door .
I was going to seat at the back when Amina said I should seat in front and then quickly took Sadiya to the back .hmm Amina o I have no option now I sat in front and he fdrove us to maryam s house the ride was interesting thou he played music for us and cracked some jokes with us when we got to maryam house for the event he asked if he could speak with me for a minute and then Amina again took Sadiya in and left me in the car with him.
"Reina you look so beautiful today Masha Allah"he said
"You already said that and I said thank you you aren't looking bad either"
"I know but your beauty is extraordinary I knew you will look good because it's your brother and friends wedding but damn I didn't expect this how would you then look on your wedding day Masha Allah God gave you so much beauty jiddarh"
I suddenly became shy not knowing what to say "thank you yusuf but you really don't have to hype me that much I need to go in before maryam calls for the 20th time today"I managed to say.
"Alright then just give me your car keys so I can get it fixed and don't forget to call me so I can take you home"
" really no need walahi I can call my cousins or Abdul to do that for me don't stress yourself"I said
"Did I say I am stressed I insist what are friends for" he said and with that I gave him the key .
"Why don't you stay a while and eat something"
"Seriously Reina do men go to bridal showers no go have fun with your friends just call me when you are done"
"Okay then bye see you later"with that I got down from the car and went in
The event started it was really fun we danced played games eat a lot of food and snacks shared secrets and also teased the bride a bit
Sadiya even secretly asked me for yusufs number I didn't give her thou I just made up an excuse I don't know why but I don't want her to be friends with him. After we where done I called him and he came
"I was beginning to think you will spend the night here it's late I didn't know the event will take this long"he said when he came to pick us.
"I can't spend the night tomorrow is kamu I need to help the house prepare" I said while getting into the car
"This wedding is planning on stressing just take it easy okay Reina" he said and I felt butterflies in my stomach.
"Iyyeh wow Allah ya bamu masu ce mana Reina muma"Amina teased at the back .yusuf just blushed I didn't say anything but I glared at her from the mirror and she saw me.
We got home Amina and Sadiya went in they are sleeping with me till the wedding is over
"I almost forgot here is the car keys the car is fixed" I collected and started my car and it worked.
"Wow thank you so much I really appreciate how much did he do it so I can pay you"he instantly frowned
"Seriouslfy jiddarh do I look like someone that will collect such no don't even repeat that statement goodnight"he said and then turned to leave.
"Wait I am sorry I didn't mean to offend you I just wanted to be considerate but thank you I am so grateful you really saved me a lot of stress and time"
"You are welcome I need to go home I have some business to attend to I guess I will see you a day after tomorrow that's the daurin aure"
"You are not coming for kamu tomorrow?"
"Again it's a ladies event I am only coming for dinner and daurin aure,I actually came today to discuss a project with Abdul but if you are going to miss me and you admit it I might come tomorrow for your sake"
"Hmm keep dreaming see you next tomorrow bye and drive safe"he just chuckled and left
