"Good morning Ved!"

After waking up from sleep and carefully pushing herself up to her half-sitting posture, Adishri greeted her better half with a soft yet yawny smile. Ved was wholly dressed up well and seemed ready to start his day. Although it was only 6 o'clock in the morning.

Whilst combing his hair, he greeted her back through the mirror

"Good morning my sunshine!
You woke up quite early today, all ok?"

"Yes all ok... In fact I feel more than ok ever since I entered my second trimester.
No more morning sickness!
No more extreme fatigueness!"

Adishri stated with a gush of content and fulfilment, making Ved slightly chuckle as he marched towards her. Standing by the bedside, he asked her with a real smile

"You've begin to settle into your pregnancy and also started enjoying it, haven't you?"

"Yeah can say, but what should I do with this swelling?"

Pointing towards her swollen feet, Adishri probed while pouting her lips with dissatisfaction.
To which Ved said as he helped her in sitting upright, by properly placing the cushions behind her back

"A little walk to the park will not harm you in any way..."

"No, not again Ved.
Haven't I told you before."

Cutting his speech in the middle, she replied. At this, he couldn't help but shook his head with a gentle smile pasted on his face. Instead of uttering something, he chose to sit beside her wordlessly.
Soon he heard her speak

"From tomorrow for sure. Now don't be like this na..."

Still he remained silent and made himself busy with the task of putting on his socks on his own feet.

When Adishri didn't receive anything from his side other than his brief smile and silence, she apprehensively spoke

"Arre! It's just a matter of one day. Today is her last exam, and she'd promised to accompany me from tomorrow.
So yes walk and everything will commence from tomorrow. And that's final!"

"Fine! Do whatever you feel like, and go with whomsoever you wish, but yes make sure to have your food and health supplements on time today."

Ved casually muttered whilst getting up, he handed her over her shawl to put on.
To which she cloaked both of her shoulders with the warm fabric whilst quizzing him

"Yes Boss!
By the way you and Shaurya will return home by tonight, right?"

"Yeah hopefully!"

Shaurya and Ved had to leave for Delhi in order to join a significant Medical Conference. That was why all that haste was being made, although initially Shaurya was not supposed to attend that but God knows what made him reschedule his last minute plans.

"Around dinner time?"

Adishri queried Ved, who was busy fastening up his shoelaces.

"Well that's uncertain. But once the conference will wrap up, we'll leave from there and be back home."

"Oh!"

"Looks like you will miss me, isn't it?"

Ved winked asking this, but much to his dismay Adishri immediately countered back enunciating

"Absolutely not, why would I?
Rather today I guess, I'll hardly get any time to think of you.
I've got multiple things on my list for today like....."

On hearing about her that day's plans, a sudden unease successfully started reflecting on his face, without wasting any time he opened his mouth to hint his wife

"Yes yes, I got it.
But yes do keep one thing in your mind Shri, if in case today Sam visits our place along with Shreya, try not to question her on anything.
Let Dev and her handle their differences on their own."

"Arre! Why would I?
I very well remember how last time Dev had reacted when Badi Maa indirectly interrogated Sam on something..."

Interrupting Adishri's speech, Ved replied getting up.

"Yes, he'll not like it at all."

"I can't understand what went wrong between them, it's been so long now. They both even don't disclose anything by themselves..."

As she expressed her sombreness, Ved took her hand and gently helped her in getting up whilst saying

"Don't worry. Everything will fall into the right places very soon..."

"You think so?"

Adishri asked him with high hopes.
To which he answered her back speaking

"Yes I do. And I'm always right, haven't you tested my instincts before?"

"Ya ya whatever!
You're always busy blowing your own trumpet..."

Rolling her eyes in incredulity, Adishri chuckled as she very carefully wounded her arms around him. He too hugged her lightly with a cordial chortle.

"Do you ever get secondhand happiness like someone is happy,
so you're happy because they're happy...........???"

"Isn't it strange that we talk least about the things we think about the most...........???"

With a book in her hand, Manjiri was busily pacing around in every possible direction of the room. It seemed that she was adamantly trying her best to memorise something from that book.

Stopping by the washroom's door, she still could hear the sound of shower running inside.
Scrunching her nose in dissatisfaction, she screamed whilst banging the door in a frantic manner

"How long will you take?"

"Coming na Manjiri! Wait for a while."

In response, Shaurya too yelled from the other side of the door.

At this, she decided to make a deal to herself, that is to keep her interaction to him to the bare minimum from now on.

She would definitely lie if she ever agrees that his sudden plan of going away far from her was not at all bothering her. Well, how can it be?

She was infuriated, well that would still be an understatement, cause she had thought or can say planned a lot of things in her mind for today as she had her last exam that day. But everything went in vain since she got to know about his abrupt plan of action.

"If you have forgotten then let me remind you that today is my last exam and I might get late for it if you will keep on showering like this consistently."

"Don't fret unnecessarily, I too am running short of time."

Hearing this she frowned turning around.

Whispering to her own self, she mumbled

"I should have gotten inside the washroom before him..."

After a while, when she heard the washroom's door click, she immediately turned around only to find him raking his hands through his wet hair and using 'her' towel to dry it.

Without a word, she straight away moved closer to him and snatched back her belonging from his hands

"Instead of snatching, one can politely ask for it...

She chose to ignore his remark and rushed inside the washroom with her clothes in one hand and 'her' towel in another, but not before passing an icy glare towards him.

Shaking his head in utter amusement at her irritable and agitated antics, he carried on dressing himself in front of the mirror quickly.

After a quick shower, Manjiri came out but there he was still busy setting his hair.
Keeping a straight face, she started placing her books in her bag.

He chanced a glance towards her through the mirror and on finding his wife oddly very quiet, Shaurya sighed inwardly and wondered if he really had control over her emotional states or was it just his delusion.

Well that was not the time to ponder over such things, so he instantaneously picked up his satchel bag from his desk and looked towards her one last time before turning around to step outside

"Ok so I'm leaving."

She was about to turn but then abruptly stopped in midway, she was clearly not acknowledging the fact that his lack of attention towards her was messing up with her senses.

"I said I'm leaving."

Keeping a limited interaction with him, she replied meekly even without facing him

"Leave then!"

"Huh? Rude enough! Don't you think so?"

Smiling inwardly at her response, which was clearly indicating her annoyance regarding his leaving, he asked this in a very gentle sweet, innocent tone.

Taking slow light steps towards her, he added friskily

"No bye?
No good - day or something like be back soon... Huh?"

Without even thinking properly, these words spluttered out of her mouth in haste and that to in indignant tone

"No nothing!
You so rightfully deserve this only."

Manjiri's hand was holding a book, which she was about to insert it in the bag when she felt two arms very caressingly locking around her frame from behind.

This easy closeness between them had grown normal to both of them, but the way the tip of his nose made contact with her ear and neck sent tickling sensations to her. When his warm breath started exploring the skin down the length of her neck, that successfully made her arch back a little in his hold against his shoulder. She was clearly disliking the fact that she was surrendering so easily.

Closing her eyes, she let out a deep sigh from her lips at the sudden sensations that were evoking within her.

Shaurya too had never felt the way he was feeling right then. When he sensed her fingers slid into the gaps between his fingers, he lightly drew in air from between them. His arms were refusing his conscious mind's consecutive orders to leave her then and there.

For a moment he just wished for time to stop, however with every passing minute, he inevitably comprehended with the fact that these pleasing moments had to end soon as he had to leave

"Bye for now, see ya later.
Really getting late, have no time for your these silly frowns and tiffs."

Whispering this in her ear in a deep hoarse voice, he turned her around in a heartbeat to get a view of her facial expressions properly.

In this swift attempt of his, abruptly her mouth brushed against the corner of his, making both of their minds move into a haze in an instant.

Her eyes flew open widely, a small gasp escaped her lips when she realized what she just did or more precisely what he just made her do. All of a sudden, she felt the urgent need to hide her face from his intense stare. Her heart was literally reacting in a really very odd way right then.

Whereas on the other hand, her sudden contact or appropriately a peck against his skin came out to be ever so softly, which had undoubtedly taken him back by a sudden pleasant surprise. He definitely was needing more of it now. More of these sudden infatuating feelings and more of these unintended contacts.

At then, he desired nothing other than closing the little distance between them completely. He readjusted his arms around her gently and more intimately.

There was a sudden unknown desire which had started sprouting between them, a kind of desire which neither Manjiri nor Shaurya knew ever existed in themselves.

Unanticipatedly she felt him leaning closer towards her when a knock on the door along with Ved's voice broke them apart.

"Hurry up Shaurya, it's time. Come down fast."

"Yes Bhai, coming right away."

With a nervous, forced sly smile Shaurya reluctantly let go of his grip upon her.
Whereas Manjiri could do nothing but only blink her eyes to process everything. Her gaze slowly and hesitantly flew up to meet his.

After a few reluctant goodbye stares, Shaurya walked towards the door and turned back to look at her for one last time before finally stepping out.

An unfathomable emotion passed through his eyes as he voiced softly to her from a considerable distance between them

"You literally disarmed me with that mere touch of yours... Do you realize that?"

A jumpy blush began to spread on her cheeks timidly on hearing his remark. She tried to mouth something but nothing really came out of it.

Not needing a reply, he slowly walked out with his bag and quietly closed the door behind him.

Was this a good start to their day or a dawn to their splendid journey???

"Anyone's voice wasn't so addicting......... Until I heard yours!
Anyone's thoughts never crossed my mind......... Until I started knowing and talking to you!
Anyone's smile was never my happiness......... Until I saw you smiling!
Anyone's existence never made me feel special......... Until you came into my life!!!"
