Fawn's POV
I walked out of the school and sighed. "Finally the weekend."

I head towards the woods that lead to my hideout/treehouse. As I'm walking I hear guns firing.

"Crap!" I thought. "It's deer season!"

I hated hunting season. I dashed through the woods as guns were firing. They gunshots seemed to be getting louder.

"Do they think I'm an animal?!?" I thought.

I was about to yell to them that I WAS A HUMAN, but I was cut off. I felt a huge pain in my right shoulder.

"Those hunters!" I thought.

I was in so much pain.

I heard footsteps. A man emerged with his gun. He saw me clutching my shoulder: "Oh my...." He said softly. "I'm gonna get killed." He yelled to his partner. "Start the truck! We gotta get out of here!"

The hunter ran away. My shoulder hurt so bad I couldn't speak.

"That coward!" I thought. Suddenly, everything went black.

I awoke with a start. I looked around, I was in my room.

I sighed. I had apparently dreamed about what had happened when I was fourteen. I closed my eyes and thought about what had happened next.

I awoke in a hospital with my parents beside me. They were glad I was awake. Apparently I lost a lot of blood. I forgot how long I was in the hospital but it was around three days. Those were some harsh times, but I'm over it.

I closed my eyes softly. The incident was then, but this is now. I'm just a normal girl and nothing about that was gonna change.

Soon, I felt myself drifting to sleep.
