As he runs, Abner glances behind him; to his relief, his mother is not following after.

'Good.'  He thought. His long strides revert to small steps.

'She's got to be out of her mind. Why would she want this?' As he thinks to himself he holds a hand over his eye that carries the supposed jewel.

'Is the jewel even real?' He shrugs with his hands tucked in his pockets and his face down. He mentally counts the dark specks of what could be gum on the concrete.

Abner continues to walk, not heading left or right. The streets are bare: without civilians and cars.

The silence is broken by a melodic ringing noise. Abner reaches into the satchel he is carrying. The tan strap is across his chest and the bag is at his hip. He pulls out a modern cell phone.

Abner reads the caller id aloud, "Unknown caller." The phone continues to ring as Abner contemplates answering the call or ignoring it.

Once again, I haven't edited this story or put much thought into it. I never thought I'd update it because I had no idea what I was going to do with the story-and still have no idea-but I got inspired and decided to write another part. I hope you like it or at least kind of like it lol. XD

I wanted to bring something new and interesting to Wattpad. Hopefully you find it refreshing. I always wanted to write or create a "choose your own fate" book or game and I haven't seen this done on Wattpad yet, that is why I decided to do this. I love the idea and enjoy stories and games like this very much. If you want some recommendations just ask me.  ;P I know it isn't terrible but it isn't exactly written well and to the best of my ability.
