~Sting's P.O.V.~

When the old man got slammed against a tree, all the pain I was feeling immediately disappeared.  I couldn't help but smile.  She did it again, huh...  When I looked up again, I watched in horror as Jessie suddenly collapsed on to the ground.  "JESSIE!" I practically screamed as I ran up to her.  I knelled by her side.  Her wrists and ankles were bloody, and her dress had little rips all over it.

"N-no need to yell, I'm fine..." she murmured with a tiny grin, but I didn't return it.

"You could've died," I whispered, tears stinging my eyes.  "And for what?  Protecting me?"

"I came because I don't want to say goodbye to you," she said, her voice starting to get weaker.  I started crying even more.

"Why!?" I yelled, frustrated.  "Why don't you want to say goodbye to me!?" Just then, I felt something squeezing my hand.  It was warm and soft.  I looked down to see Jessie's hand holding it.

"Because if you didn't care about me, you wouldn't have given me this."  She took out her right hand, which had the silver hair clip I had given her.  My eyes widened.  I wasn't sure if she even opened it or not.  "You remembered," she whispered softly with a warm smile on her face.  I smile back and wipe my eyes.

"You said you wanted it for your birthday, and I said I would give it to you one day," I said.  She sat up and rested on a nearby tree.

        "Well, what now?" she asked.

"I'm thinking we should go to Fairy Tail and get you patched up," I replied.  She shook her head.

"We can't because my legs are shot and I'm not allowing you to carry me," she said.

"Uh, I'm a big boy, I think I can carry you," I huffed.

"Don't think I don't know your magic power is low," she said.  I sighed.  She was right, I used too much of it during the battle.

"Well, I guess that means we're staying here for the night then?" I asked as I looked up into the sky.  The moon was right on top of us and the stars were shining all around it.  She nodded.

"Well, I'll go get some firewood," I said.

"No, I can do it," said Jessie, but I stopped her.

"You can't even walk, but I can, so please just let me," I urged.  She sighed.

"Fine," she muttered in defeat.  I smiled and used my magic to cut some of the trees down.  When I had enough, I returned to the "campsite".  When I arrived, I dropped the logs on to the floor out of shock.  Jessie looked so beautiful with the hair clip on.  The clip revealed her right eye, which was usually covered by her hair.  I knew she was pretty, but she looked beautiful without her hair covering half of her face.  She turned to me and her cheeks turned a shade of pink.  "W-what?" she muttered.  "Do I look weird?"

"N-no, you look beautiful.." I replied without thinking, but then I realized what I had just said, and  I felt my cheeks turning a deep shade of red.  "E-er I mean, you look prettier with the hair clip," I stuttered, which did not help my cause, but it made Jessie laugh.

"Thanks," she smiled, which made my heart flutter.  Why is my heart beating so fast??  What's wrong with me???  I then realized that I was just standing there, so I picked up all the fire wood and set it in front of Jessie.

"You feeling better?" I asked.  She nodded.

"I regained some magic power, so I should be fine," she replied.

"Good," I smiled, then an idea popped in my mind.  "Hey, watch this." Light emitted from my hand and shone on the wood.  It started to burn, and a fire soon appeared.

"Bravo, bravo," Jessie giggled.  "But are you sure you should be wasting magic power like that?"  I waved her off.

"Pfft, I'll be fine," I said arrogantly, which made Jessie laugh again, and I couldn't help but laugh with her.  After a while of looking at the fire, Jessie yawned.

"I'm kinda tired.." she said as she rubbed her eyes.

"You should get some sleep then," I said.  She nodded, and then leaned her head on my shoulder!  I could hear my own heart beating, but I tried not to do anything stupid.  She wrapped her arms around my arm, making my heart beat even faster.  Damnit, what is wrong with me?  Get yourself together Sting!  I scolded myself.  I almost leaped out of my own skin when she said something.

"I watched you during the Grand Magic Games," she murmured.  I stiffened.  She watched me and Sabertooth?  "I decided that if Fairy Tail wins, I would go back," she continued, "but then, during the final day, you weren't acting like yourself, and I realized it was because Lector's life was on the line, right?"  I gulped and slowly nodded.

"Yea, that's right," I whispered, remembering the lady threatening me that if we didn't win, Lector would die.  She nuzzled my arm and warmly smiled, her eyes still closed.

"Me and Lexi found Lector and gave him to Millianna you know?" she sleepily said.  My eyes widened.

"Y-you did?" I said quietly.  I felt her head slowly nod.

"He wasn't awake when I found him..." she whispered, nuzzling deeper into my arm.  "But I'm fine with that, because the look on your face.." I saw a big smile slowly form on her lips. "Your smile was worth it...I hadn't seen that smile in such a long time...it reminded me of hope."   I swear I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest because of how loud it sounded.  I went back to the time when Erza had asked why I had surrendered [now would be time to play the video, which is also conveniently placed right under here].

I was so happy when I saw Lector, and always wondered how he was in Millianna's arms, but I never thought it would be Jessie who had found him..

"You always looked out for me, didn't you..." I whispered, but she didn't hear me because she had fallen asleep.  I couldn't help but smile.  She looks so cute..  I thought to myself.  Wait, what?  Oh no, oh no no no no....  Please don't tell me...I've fallen for her?!  This can't be happening, please tell me it's not.  Normally I would put my head on my knees, but with Jessie still leaning on my shoulder, I just mentally groan.  I don't even know if she forgave me or not..  I quietly sigh, and look up into the sky.  I saw a shooting star go by just as I lifted my head.  "Shooting star huh.." I muttered to myself, grinning.  "I wish.."
